Posted: 02 Oct 2018 04:19 AM PDT Hi guys! So I just bought the iPhone X (not Xs) as "as good as new" from a well-known ebay seller. Phone does almost look as new and battery life seems to be at 100%. However, I noticed a "gap" between the steel bezel and the display. Right between the steel and the actual display is another small, black "ring" that is sort of sealing the phone. But that's the thing: On the bottom left corner and towards the middle there is a gap - you can fit the tip of the nail there or with the edge of a standard piece of paper. Is that normal?? Especially in terms of the IP76 rating? https://imgur.com/a/gY3jan0 https://imgur.com/a/Kro0zDS Thanks guys! [link] [comments] |
Posted: 02 Oct 2018 11:06 AM PDT I bought a used X from my cousin and the battery capacity is at 88%. Does anyone know if I could just go into the apple story and ask for a battery replacement no questions asked? Warranty ends in November and I wanna try to get it replaced by then so I don't have to in the future. Plus the $29 battery replacement program ends in December. [link] [comments] |
iPhone X distorted sound no water damage Posted: 02 Oct 2018 09:26 AM PDT Hi, I recently got an iPhone X from a family because they're upgrading to an xs. They told me the speaker has had issues since they purchased it. At high volumes the speaker would make crackling noises and sound very unclear. The phone has been dropped and the back glass is cracked but that shouldn't effect the speaker. I've read an article that many iPhone X models came with this issue so I was just wondering if mine is the same case and he just decided not to get it fixed? [link] [comments] |

Posted: 02 Oct 2018 02:33 PM PDT Ok, I'm on my second iPhone X and can honestly say, this is the largest piece of shit I've had since my touch screen Blackberry, which drove me to Apple in the first place. Here we go.. so now this lump of electrical gadgetry will not ring while my phone is locked. Here are my options. Do a factory reset, which I'm not willing to do, or leave my phone unlocked. To be honest, I work out of my house and have nothing to hide, so that's a non issue, but when I travel to a client site, I'd like to be able to lock my phone.make sense?? Anyone else having similar issues? 1) I've rebooted 2) I've completed a soft reset Any help would be much appreciated.. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 01 Oct 2018 05:33 PM PDT I got my iPhone X 256gb about a week and a half ago. Since then my battery life has been, in my opinion, okay at best. Granted, I am coming from an iPhone 7 Plus (which had an amazing battery life) and recent just switched from Galaxy Note 9 (couldn't stay away from the Apple ecosystem. Right now, my battery percentage is at a 37% and my screen on time is 3 hours and 2 minutes. My iPhone 7 Plus could easily get 8 hours of "usage time" and my galaxy note 9 could get about 5~6 hours of SOT. If I let my iPhone X battery fully drain, I am able to get Barry about 4 1/2 hrs, which I think is not normal? (I may be wrong). What is your guys' take on this? [link] [comments] |
