    Hey everyone,

    We are looking to bring on 1 new moderator to help with CSS, coding (likely bots or various things to improve the subreddit) and configuration tasks on /r/jailbreak and /r/iOSthemes. We are also looking for 1 moderator to do general moderating tasks (full moderator permissions). For the full moderator position, we already have a few in US timezones so are looking for a moderator in other timezones. The number of moderators we take on may change depending on the applications we receive.

    Requirements

    Full Moderator

    • Your account must be at least 6 months old and you must have at least 500 cumulative karma
    • Must be active in /r/jailbreak and/or /r/iOSthemes
    • Look forward to doing various tasks we ask that can improve the subreddit
    • Have access to a computer to be able to correctly configure different things
    • Willing to actively participate in our private Slack channel and private subreddit

    Programming Moderator

    • Your account must be at least 6 months old and you must have at least 500 cumulative karma
    • Be able to code (ideally in Python, PRAW, PHP, JavaScript and CSS - though others are considered and not all are required)
      • Linking your GitHub profile would be nice, but not necessary.
    • Look forward to doing various tasks we ask that can improve the subreddit
    • Have access to a computer to be able to correctly configure different things
    • Willing to actively participate in our private Slack channel and private subreddit

    4. What aspects of /r/jailbreak or /r/iOSthemes need to be improved, and how would you improve them?
    5. What new ideas do you have for the subreddit, if any?
    6. From the following list, what items do you have knowledge of?
      • Reddit CSS
      • Writing AutoModerator rules
      • Python and PRAW
      • PHP
      • HTML/CSS/JS
      • Tweak Development
      • Theme Creation
      • Some other programming language (list ones you are comfortable with)

    Do note that the programming moderator will only get config permissions and not full moderator permissions.

    Applications will be open for 1 week and close on Friday, October 26, 2018, at a time yet to be decided. Depending on how many applications we get, how long we take to decide on who has been successful will change. We hope to decide as quickly as possible.

    [Release] LocalInject - Inject localizations into applications without modifying their bundle

    This is a basic tweak to easily translate and mess with apps' texts. With the help of this tweak, you can easily modify the localized strings of apps without modifying their bundle. The tweak comes with an example unfinished Turkish Textastic translation, located inside /Library/LocalizationInjector. This tweak can replace a few tweaks easily with custom translation bundles:

    • DopeSettings: Replaces the text inside the Settings App cells. LocalInject can partially replace this tweak because it can easily modify the localized cell text.
    • Doesn't Add Up: An example replacement is available in the same repository.

    I hope this tweak will make it easier to translate third party apps and release them.

    [Help] Iphone bootloop after unc0ver rc9

    iphone 6 ios 11.2.1
    i just installed unc0ver rc9 and tried to jb but gave an exploit error so i hard rebooted and now its stuck in a boot loop, recovery mode working but itunes says i cant restore from a backup. Any ideas?

    There was a upcoming tweak I saw a few months ago and I can't seem to find it again. It did what the galaxy s8 does and lets you capture part of your screen as a gif, has there been a update on it? Possible release date? Or just any news in general?

    [question] unc0ver never passed 24/49, can't re-jailbreak with electra, stuck in non-jailbroken state

    iPhone 8+ on 11.0.3

    Jailbroken with electra, tried running unc0ver RC8, never got past 24/49 (reboot pop-up) with EL, MP, and AW. Since it rebooted i'm in a non-jailbroken state, and electra crashes and reboots my phone at 2/3 if I try to re-jailbreak with it, unc0ver still fails the same, and pwned4ever's ElectraRemover also fails and reboots my phone at 2/3.

    So now i'm stuck in a non-jailbroken state and all I can do is sideload things with impactor or use signing services. Any options other than waiting and hoping eventually unc0ver updates to work better with older iOS?

    I am currently having issues with Electra because My Phone just randomly restarts when I'm playing a game specifically Dragon Nest Mobile. So is Unc0ver safe? And great??

    [Help] Any way to fix broken tweaks with unc0ver

    Recently jailbreaking has been a chore with the many bugs. With Electra not doing its best I decided to switch to unc0ver which seemed to work flawlessly. But then I tried to download a tweak. The process goes as normal but the tweak doesn't show up. I've tried redownloading old tweaks to no avail. Plus the tweaks that only effect Cydia like swipe for more don't work either. No errors show up or anything when downloading. Might I have done anything wrong?

    Greetings.

    (In addition to title questions) For example, I've heard that unless you save (something?) via iTunes, you might not be able to downgrade your OS version. That something seems to go by different names? Slightly confusing.

    I understand some of the concepts, as I have loaded custom Android firmwares on older phones in the past.

    Read the FAQ, but did not see my questions answered.
