    I was on my bed, relaxing after a long day of work.

    My iPhone was in the other room, charging.

    I wanted to listen to some Apple Music on my Apple TV 3rd gen (doesn't support Apple Music, gonna upgrade sooner or later).

    I used the Remote app on my Watch to start my music on the iPhone, but also made it Airplay on the ATV.

    If you take out any of these Apple product or services, I would have had to...gasp...go to the other room and use my phone.

    I then told Siri to set my Hue lights to a relaxing scene, but this is another story.

    Notifications still come through in downtime

    So with iOS 12 I've started using downtime to stop myself from using Facebook and Reddit during times I should be studying. But for some reason, while in downtime, while my phone doesn't get notifications (as it shouldn't), they just come right on through to my watch! I don't want you to tell me that someone commented on something, that's why I have downtime on! It's really frustrating. Is anyone else frustrated by this?

    Ordered black stainless 40mm, worried about bands

    I got black stainless because of my personal preference and typical belt/shoes/business attire. I had planned on adding a leather strap band but in planning that purchase, I'm not seeing any with the correct color attachment pieces.

    The leather bands that have metal on the ends seem to have shiny silver metal.

    The leather loops that have the leather continue into the attachment area don't come in the 40mm size.

    I don't mind upgrading to 44 though I think the smaller is better... and I can probably handle a 3rd party strap...

    but is there another first-party solution that I'm not seeing that doesn't involve getting the 44mm?

    Edit: thanks for the feedback, guys.

    It looks like I'm actually interested in something like the Hermès deployment buckle which only comes in silver and only comes in 44mm. I'll probably stick with what I ordered and if the occasion arises for me to require jewelry-grade accessories, I'll buy the crazy one.

    Apple Store Pickup Availability - Nov 14

    I typically crawl the Apple website for pickup availability in my region. I noticed a couple of days ago that pickup availability at all store locations changed to 'Nov 14' where they used to say 'Currently Unavailable'. Does this mean stores are no longer receiving weekly shipments?

    So I ordered an Apple Watch series 4 Nike Sport loop 44mm from Best Buy. It said "available to pick up on..." so I ordered for in store pick up. But 2 days later, the store is out of stock and can't complete my order. This happened twice already, is this normal or am I having bad luck??

    Series 1 - Battery Life Issues After Watch OS-5 Update

    Is anyone else encountering this or heard of it happening?

    Since the update, my watch is burning through about 15% battery life per hour. By 6-7 hours of use my watch is dead.

    Prior to the update I was getting over 24-hours of battery life.

    Why have phone and watch recording information for activity app?

    In my health app, it has two devices in the sources for recording steps and etc. On my watch "activity" is it gathering information from both my Phone and my watch? And is that normal? I don't want my phone to be recording my activity if I have the watch. It defeats the purpose of the watch right? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

    Can I set up an S4 Apple Watch (Cellular) using a friend's phone, then use it independently?

    S2 with WatchOS 5.0.1 randomly resets.

    I've had an S2 for about 20 months and it's been rock solid until recently. After updating to WatchOS 5.0.x, I've noticed the watch will randomly be showing the Apple logo as if I had restarted it. It doesn't have the 'coundown' circle showing and usually takes 20-30 seconds or so when I catch it, so not a full restart.

    It's usually random, but it can sometimes be triggered by any input like tapping iMessage, etc.

    Any idea?

    No more estimated time to Work/home notification on Watch Series 4 when phone connects to car Bluetooth?

    I was having no issues on my series 2, but for some reason I don't get a notification on my series 4 every time I sit in the car and connect to Bluetooth.

    Anyone else having this issue or know a fix? Thanks!

    S4: Utility Face w/Carrot Complication?

    I've moved up from a S2 to S4 watch and unless I'm missing something, there is no longer a Carrot complication that I can put in the upper right corner of that face. I have gotten so used to having it there that I'm bummed out about not being able to anymore. There are lots of other 3rd party apps which DO have complications that can go there, but why not Carrot?
