    Insane ios 12.0.1 battery drain (Standby/Regular)

    99% before bed. Phone set on low power mode. Every thing, literally everything turned off. (Background refresh, airplane mode on, location, email app deleted, push set to manual for everything, two third party apps installed YT and instagram)

    After 8 hours of sleep battery % 32.

    I had dfu'd the restore. No back up utilized. Its the 4th day today and nothing has changed.

    I switched to 12.1 beta 4 expecting a quicker update but the problem persists of ios 12 ios 12.0.1 as well as the beta 4 which im currently on for the 4th day today.

    Once again im on low power mode and every thing that could suck battery is turned off.

    Even during normal usage during the day : I start my day at 9-10 Am at 100% right now its 530pm and my battery level is 28% i have made barely 10 minutes of phone calls as ive had to switch my primary sim to another phone which btw is an android. I used yt for may be half an hour and thats pretty much it. The second longest ive used this phone is right now writing this. Im alredy on 25%

    Yesterday I made a post about battery drain on stand-by with a test during the night to see how bad it is. I did the same test tonight but uninstalled Shortucts app.

    Yestersay's post about battery drain.

    I noticed a really high battery drain when the phone is on standby for the last few days so I decided to see how it is overnight. I didn't had such a drain like this before. The only apps I installed the last few days were Shortcuts app and a racing game that I haven't played yet. I tried the shortcut app a little bit, added a few things but haven't really used it. I decided to uninstall the app to see if does any difference on standby and did the exact same test with my phone, at this exact same place and the same conditions during the night.

    This is the drain with the shortcut app with 0 usage overnight. This is the battery drain without the shortcut app with 0 usage overnight. Yesterday when I woke up, I lost nearly 25% of battery on stand-by in 8.30 hours. Today when I woke up, I lost 5% of battery in 9.15 hours.

    I don't know if that's the case for everybody or if it's just my phone but I had the feeling that after installing Shortcuts app my battery was dying faster and with this test it seems like it's true.

    Volume too low iOS 12

    Just recently switched to iPhone from android. Is there a way to increase max volume to headphones? So far I've gotten used to and like some things more than android but this is driving me nuts. All the guides I find are outdated so any help would be appreciated.

    By looking at the phone with the require attention feature turned on, and having revealed the content of the message, you've proven that you've already read it! Don't need to be shown the same message twice.

    Current location incorrect on Google and Apple Maps

    I've been having a weird problem lately, my current location shows up a few blocks away from my actual location. I've tried restarting my phone and updating the applications, but it still is showing the wrong current location on google maps and apple maps. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Previously my phone got all messed up by the unc0ver jailbreak and so I had to update to 12. Went to buy a new phone with iOS 11.2.5 so I can get back to jailbreak and after restoring my phone all the apps are stuck at this loading screen. Any ideas? Note: not sure if this is the correct sub.

    Instagram crashes

    When uploading 4k footage on either instagram stories or the feed itself, my app crashes. Ive tried to reinstall and it hasnt seem to solve the problem, im on ios 12 iphone 8 if that helps

    iOS 12.0.1 Can't download songs from iTunes.

    Hey. Does anyone has this problem? I can't download songs for offline listening, neither through wi-fi or mobile data. It works only for a short period if I restart the phone. Yes, I have storage and I don't get any error.

    I click on the download button, the circle will spin for a while then it will return to the cloud icon. How can I fix this?

    Hey Guys

    So I want to delete everything off my iPhone. I know i can erase it in the settings, but is my data really gone or can it be recovered by let's say an IT guy? As far as I know, deleted data just does not show up, but an experet can still recover at least some of it. Is there a way to delete everything (except iOS itself of course) and maybe over write the entire storage so that it can never be read by anyone?

    How do you filter all the junk/spam mail?

    I'm tired of being flooded by junk mail. I wish Mail would provide on-device filtering but it doesn't, right? How do you deal with it? I guess it's done server-side nowadays. If so, can you suggest hosting companies that provide good filtering?

    Auto update issues

    Upgraded to iPhone X recently. I have a couple of issues 1) My apps do not auto update. The setting for auto update is on in the iTunes and app stores section 2) iOS itself did not auto update once iOS 12.0.1 became available even though it is set to auto update in the software update section

    Any way to extract notes on an iPod touch 1 to a computer?

    Recently found an old iPod touch I used to use, and put stories I found on the internet on. I would like to extract those onto a better platform for reading, and have had no luck so far. Version is ios 3.1.2. Device works fine, but I have no idea how to get them off it.

    Now apps can track you even after you uninstall them

    Any thoughts on badge notification on messages showing total count instead of unread? It keeps increasing every text and doesn’t clear when read. I’m up to 500+ badge count. Tried updating IOS and also reset phone. Still showing. Anybody know a fix? Apple store couldn’t help.

    Can’t play YouTube videos on native website on iOS 12.0.1

    Hi everyone,

    Since upgrading to iOS 12.0.1 I've got an annoying feature whenever I try to watch YouTube videos, either on safari or reddit.

    The banner add for the channel on YouTube now covers the full screen and volume buttons, making watching videos on the native website impossible as they now start muted. There's no way to minimise the channel banner on order to get to the full screen or volume controls. I want to watch the videos on the native website, not YouTube, as there is an incentive for doing so.

    Can anyone help me figure out a way round this? I suspect it's outline trying to direct people to their site directly.Screenshot attached.
