How do you do a "Whole disk repair"? Posted: 09 Aug 2018 08:54 PM PDT When trying to partition drive it is telling me todo a whole disk repair. But how do I do that because to my knowledge the disk utility doesn't have a feature like that. Just a first aid option that doesn't seem to do the trick. Any one know how to do a "whole disk repair"? Thanks in advanced. [link] [comments]
Color distortion with MacOS Sierra Posted: 10 Aug 2018 01:16 AM PDT Hi guys, I'm having a weird issue with my macbook Air (OS Sierra). Whenever I download images, the colors tend to exaggerate (mostly red). Any ideas how to fix it? I'll try to post examples in a bit. [link] [comments]
Installing Windows 7 on High Sierra Posted: 09 Aug 2018 10:18 PM PDT I found out there was a way to edit the bootcamp info.plist to allow non compatible computers to install windows 10. I tried using a similar method to allow Windows 7 on High Sierra but i had no luck with it. Anybody know if it is possible? [link] [comments]

Disable custom HTML5 player in Safari? Posted: 09 Aug 2018 06:03 PM PDT I want to directly AirPlay a livestream to my Apple TV from Safari, rather than mirror the display. The livestream is HTML5, but since it's using a custom player there's no AirPlay option. Is there a way to force safari to use the default HTML5 player like it does in iOS? [link] [comments]
Late 2009 iMac which firmware to reinstall Posted: 09 Aug 2018 04:33 PM PDT I am trying to reinstall Mac OS on my late 2009 iMac when I try and install lion or mountain lion it boots into a screen that says installing with a meter then it says cannot install. I cannot find a copy of snow leopard with the installesd on it. I also tried high Sierra but it gives me an error saying it cannot copy the files then says it can't find the resources. So if anyone has any other OS I could install or reasons why the other ones are failing it would be much appreciated because I am stumped. [link] [comments]
Is there a way to log notifications? Posted: 09 Aug 2018 10:03 AM PDT Is there a way to log notifications? I get Chrome notifications that I sometimes don't see even when I'm at my computer, and it would be nice if I could go back and look at them. I have them set to alerts, but even then I sometimes want to go back and look at them. They don't seem to stay in notification center either. [link] [comments]
Doing clean install, but in disk utility my internal drive is greeted l grayed out Posted: 09 Aug 2018 03:47 PM PDT *internal drive is grayed out. I backed up my data with time machine, created a bootable USB of MacOS High Sierra, shut down my computer and booted from the USB. I went into disk utility, and see that my internal drive is grayed out. I can click on it, and the empty button is still available, but first aid is not and it says no info on how much storage is taken up. To be clear,I already had installed High Sierra before and was doing this mainly to clean up my internal drive. [link] [comments]
Unable to reinstall Mac OS on Late 2009 iMac Posted: 09 Aug 2018 10:44 AM PDT I bought a late 2009 iMac a long time ago and now I am trying to install fresh OS because I am selling it. I tried to wipe the hard drive but while doing that I believe I deleted the recovery partition. Now I am stuck with the folder flashing with the question mark and have no clue what to do with my computer. I have no access to another mac and have had to success with trying to make bootable dvd and usb from my windows PC using transmac. Any help would be amazing! [link] [comments]

Stuck in infinite loop when installing OS X Posted: 09 Aug 2018 02:13 AM PDT currently trouble shooting a macbook pro from 2012 and wanted to do a clean install, so i wiped the ssd and used cmd+alt+r when booting to get it to reinstall, but when it reaches 0 it shortly says 655.000.000 hours to go and then resets to 16 minutes left, and this just loops forever (literally had it going for 30 hours or so) [link] [comments] |
