Former iPhones 6+ owner … how do I Posted: 09 Aug 2018 01:54 PM PDT Key iPhone 6+ feature was double-tapping the home button to bring the screen half-way down to make it easier to reach the top half. Is the iphoneX equivalent to look at it twice? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 09 Aug 2018 02:53 PM PDT I had a strange glitch happening to me. Coincidence or not, after a hard fall on the floor, my phone would not register the touch of the screen in the center part of the screen, only the margins. After trying to restart it for half an hour, it finally sensed me touching the stop button and sliding it after a long long press. My question is, are there any ways to restart/shut down an X without the use of the touchscreen? [link] [comments] |

Posted: 09 Aug 2018 01:25 PM PDT I recently purchased a new IPhone X. During the setup process it had me update the IOS to 11.4.1 This is not a huge problem. However, the estimate time is 2 days! Is there any way to cancel this and finish setting up the new phone? [link] [comments] |
HDR Netflix Content for Super Retina Display Posted: 09 Aug 2018 12:18 AM PDT So, I've been absolutely blown away by how the show 'Altered Carbon' looks on my iPhone X in a completely dark room, and I want to know everyone's suggestions for more beautiful HDR content on Netflix that takes advantage of this OLED panel. Posted: 09 Aug 2018 11:37 AM PDT I was planning on buying a new iphone though apple and pay in full. I selected my carrier which is at&t and it will be shipping to me. I was wondering once I get it, is it as easy as putting in my sim from my previous iphone or will I have to contact at&t to activate it? I only ask because I am still under my parents plan. I just dont want them to get any charges or do any extra work just to activate my Iphone. [link] [comments] |
Does it matter what kind of screen protector I use? Posted: 09 Aug 2018 11:26 AM PDT I bought my iPhone X a few days ago and picked up a plastic screen protector from 5 below. Am I good with this or should I buy a different one? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 09 Aug 2018 03:22 AM PDT I just got my new iPhone X about a couple of days ago and I noticed that the screen is not as smooth as the older iPhone models. I mean when I try to swipe my screen, my finger gets stucked, with a slight "tugging". I have sweaty hands due to the weather and it really bothers me that it's not as smooth as my iPhone 6s Plus. I tried it on my ip6s+ just now and there's no tugging. I don't have a screen protector (yet) since I am not fond of screen protectors and I haven't used them on my older iPhones. Am I the only one who noticed this? Is it because of OLED screen? Should Getting a screen protector improve the "smoothness" of the screen? Thanks in advance! [link] [comments] |
Fast battery drain on my new iPhone X Posted: 08 Aug 2018 07:00 PM PDT So I got a new iPhone X 2 days ago and the battery drains fast on this phone. I previously had a 7 Plus and am running most of the same apps/settings. Does anyone have any tips/links to guides on how to save battery or what settings will help? I've already looked through multiple guides online, including YouTube videos like Payette Forward's and have turned off the major ones such as turning off push mail to fetch. Details: - iPhone X 64GB Space Grey - Latest public beta iOS - 100% Battery Health/Maximum Capacity Edit: To give you guys an idea of the drain - I was showing a friend the phone and played some music. It dropped from like 98% to 90% in about under 10 minutes. When I wake up, I have my phone on the lowest brightness and just read/browse stuff. This usually takes me 30 minutes and my 7 Plus would still be on 100%, the X will drop to like 90%. [link] [comments] |
