    Fellow students who use iPads at uni/college/school - What's the one app you and your other iPad-using friends wished you had?

    There's a growing community in my faculty of iPad and iPad Pro users, and I thought it'd be nice if we had maybe an app or a service we'd build for others like us who join in, seeing that every week we see new iPads in class.
    For those of you out there with iPads - what app or service would you like to have that would help your studies, and maybe bring this community together? (EDIT: Not necessarily an existing app) Would you prefer something independent or should the school get involved on this? And should this be something that eases people into the community like guides and hands-on assistance, or a utility to push studies forward?

    10.5 vs 12.9 for college

    finally decided to get an ipad pro for college. I have come to conclusion I'm tired carrying around books and textbooks all the time.

    however I will still use my MBP Retina "15 as my main driver if I need to write papers or use applications like Premier Pro or Photoshop, etc.

    My question is, do students like the 10.5 or 12.9? I know 12.9 is like full sheet of paper and I only intend on taking this two and from class and then once i get to my apartment for the night use my computer

    iPad Pro 12.9 Gen2 touch issues

    So for a while I've had touch issues, when I'm using it the touch goes unresponsive intermittently, keys won't press etc. Pressing the home button and then going back on the app fixes it, but sometimes it just happens straight away after that. It can be very frustrating. What I want to know is, is this a common thing with this model? Never happened on the iPad 2, the iPad Air or iPad Pro 12.9 Gen1 for me.

    Just bought a used iPad off a friend, and he didn't erase his data, is it safe to have him remote wipe it to restore factory settings?

    Wanted an iPad to bring on a trip, my friend just switched to a mini and sold me his old one. He thought he had completed "Erase All Content and Settings" but apparently it didn't go through. And of course I didn't realize until I'd already left for memorial day weekend so I can't bring it by his place for a week, defeating the whole purpose of having it for this trip.

    I hate to ask him for his password, is it possible to have him remotely wipe the tablet from his icloud/ find my phone app? Or will that lock it or make it an unusable brick?

    I'd like some advice regarding apps to use/purchase: mostly for productivity & books on iOS 11.2

    The iPad is 12" and as such, it makes it somewhat difficult to read books in fullscreen. I know I can splitscreen but that's not what I want. Moon Reader on Android allows me to zoom out so that the book actually is say, 80% of the screen. Is that possible on the iPad and also allowing me to annotate the file?

    I'm also wondering if it's possible to (though I'm sure it's based on the PDF itself) have the app add in (manually or automatically) a sidebar or have some sort of blank space at the side where I can annotate the PDF,.

    It there a comic book reader (CBR/CBZ) that has both access to the files in iTunes (so I can transfer from my PC over the lightning cable) and automatically opens the next file when I'm done reading, IE: Batman 1 (last page, swpie) > automatically opens Batman 2?

    Amazon basics stylus for iPad Air 2 for very basic note taking?

    Hello folks, I just wanna know if anyone here ever used amazon basics capacitive stylus for simple once in a while writing notes in notability app?

    I don't need any pro features of iPad Pro and Apple Pencil, neither did I need palm resting options. The thing is I just need a dirt cheap stylus for once in a while for solving some problem questions which requires very basic writing without any precision.

    I don't know how to put it, but what I wanna ask is that anyone used that stylus and one can able to write in notability or one note app?

    Reading books, iPad 2018 or iPad Pro 10.5?

    Does the screen on the pro make much difference in terms of eye strain while reading books? I'd like to start putting some books on to read, possibly in some sunlight every now and then (sitting in the shade). I tend to get eye strain when reading on non e-ink devices so I'd like to minimize this.

    First time IPad user here: Will playing games on IPad pro damage the battery life ?

    I switched from Android to IOS tablet and was wondering which things I shouldn't do to keep my IPad safe ( in terms of battery life ). I mostly use my IPad for movies/ study and sometimes casual playing ( Hearthstone few hours ) but I noticed it gets hot during playing hearthstone.

    So is there something like "don't play games on your IPad, because it fucks it up" ? I used my Android for playing games and i don't know why but sometimes I can't charge it or the battery drains to 15% in 1-2hrs of playing ( it's the NVIDIA shield tablet btw).Seems like I fucked up the battery somehow

    Is there anything i should avoid ( charge & play ofc) or maybe avoid games in general?

    Does anyone have a tip on switching between writing and moving page around?

    I just got my iPad Pro 10.5 and I love it, so far.

    BUT... one of the problems I noticed that I am having is moving the page around while I am writing on one note. I find myself trying to move around on the page two fingers and ending up adding a line of whatever writing tool I am using. It's really not that big of a deal but it is a little annoying when I'm reviewing notes and there's a huge streak across my notes.

    Hopefully someone has solution!

    edit: I solved my own problem. There is an option when you hit the draw tab. It is under the "drawing mode" option. I deselected draw with touch.

    I'm looking to replace my current Android tablet which is like 3 years old now, and am thinking of getting an iPad. I mainly watch twitch and YouTube. Is it worth it to spend the extra ~$200 to get the pro version just for the speakers, or is the regular one's speakers fine? Thanks

    Just bought an iPad, what are some fun games I can download to pass the time?

    Just bought an iPad with main purpose to get email signups for my startup however I plan to use it to game as well as I just downloaded this racing game and it's more comfortable gaming on here than on my iPhone.

    Decided to try out a shooting game called " Time Locker " from an article about fun iPad games I found on iphone gaming forum. , however prefer to stay out of shooting games as I prefer to play that on my pc haha.

    So was wondering, what are some fun games that I can install on my iPad that are not shooting? I prefer strategy/puzzle games. Thanks!

    10.5 vs 12.9 iPad Pro

    Hi guys I need some help deciding between the two pro versions. I'm an architect and primarily want the iPad for sketching with the Morpholio set of Apps, note taking, organizational apps etc. Just something I can use to speed up my workflow of gathering/working on ideas, remembering things. The idea of using the sketch apps to replace paper clutter is very appealing to me.

    I have used the 12.9 before and loved it, but did feel it was a little bigger than necessary. So, I am swaying towards the 10.5 as I feel this would be a much more portable device.

    Do you think the 10.5 is therefore more suitable for me? Will I lose any functionality when it comes to the sketching apps due to smaller screen?
