[QUESTION] Does iMessage Merge Databases? or Individual Messages? Posted: 11 May 2018 08:06 AM PDT I'm on iOS 11.4 Beta running Messages in iCloud. My Mac is running High Sierra without Messages on iCloud. The two are about 90% in sync, but with some differences. My iPhone has messages since 2012, Mac since 2013. My iPhone has multiple threads for different contacts, and my Mac has them all merged together (think someone messages from a phone number and then from an email address... iPhone splits them into 2 conversations, Mac does not). When Messages for iCloud is turned ON on my Mac, will the Messages themselves merge or will the databases be overwritten?
