Wrong SQLite version when running PHPUnit tests with macOS High Sierra Posted: 23 Feb 2018 01:25 AM PST I am using a MacBook running High Sierra (10.13.3), and I have the most current version of SQLite installed through Homebrew (3.22.0 2018-01-22 18:45:57 0c55d179733b46d8d0ba4d88e01a25e10677046ee3da1d5b1581e86726f2171d), via brew install sqlite --with-functions --with-soundex as I am using the SOUNDEX functions. When I run my tests with PHPUnit I get an error: General error: 1 no such function: SOUNDEX, when running the following SQL statement via the SQLite shell everything works as expected: This means that PHPUnit or PHP itself uses the wrong SQLite version. My $PATH: /usr/local/bin:/usr/bin:/bin:/usr/sbin:/sbin:/Users/MyUserName/.composer/vendor/bin Running where sqlite3: Running which sqlite3: /usr/local/bin/sqlite3 (3.22.0) How do I force macOS to ignore the SQLite located in /usr/bin and to use the newer version installed with Homebrew? Since High Sierra also uses SIP I can't just delete the "wrong" version and symlink to the right one. Any help is much appreciated! [link] [comments]
Posted: 22 Feb 2018 04:59 PM PST Hi, so I've been looking all around the internet and nothing seems to be working for me, so I'm turning myself to the geniuses of Reddit. I have a mid 2012 Retina MacBook Pro 15inches, 8go ram, 2,3 ghz i7, NVIDIA GeForce 650m, running High Sierra and I'm playing a game called Smite on it. Now the issues I'm having are weird. The more I play, the less I have sounds in game, up to a point when I pretty much only hear background noises. Starts a almost 10 minutes in the game, and end at the end of the game. When I start another one, sounds I working till more or less 10 minutes again, maybe shorter the second time. I have to close the game and restart it. Second issue is pretty much the same thing but with my FPS. The more the game goes, the worst is the lag. My FPS counter stays a like 60-70 FPS, but I see like 10-15 FPS. That takes about 25 minutes to happens, and is resolved when I end the 1st game and start another one. Then same thing happens at like 15-20 minutes. I've tried PRAM and SMC reset, activity manager to see what is holding the laptop bac, Ã terminal reset of the audio, and unchecked graphics permutation. My next step would be to make a hard reset on my laptop I think. Sorry for my English and thanks in advance. Any help? [link] [comments]
Keyboard and trackpad not working on MacOS, but working on Ubuntu 16.04 Posted: 22 Feb 2018 09:23 PM PST Hey all, I own a Macbook Pro (bought in summer 2015) and as the title suggests, my keyboard and trackpad don't work on my MacOS. I can however connect an external keyboard and mouse. I dual booted my Macbook with Ubuntu and everything works fine. Have any of you experienced this issue before? Is there a way that I can fix this? Would this be a software or hardware issue? Any help would be really appreciated! A few other key points: - I use my Macbook a lot (everyday, for a few hours), mostly to code for school and procrastinate. - I called Apple twice and both times they said that it's a hardware issue (I'm not buying this entirely since my keyboard and trackpad work on Ubuntu). - I tried Recovery Boot, didn't work. - I also tried resetting the NVRAM, didn't work. Posted: 22 Feb 2018 04:03 PM PST Hey all Looking for a recommendation of good document management app for macOS. I have a ton of PDF books (avid TTRPG) but have always find organising and tagging them too difficult and cumbersome. Essentially I'm looking for a Calibre like app that supports cloud or at least doesn't require moving the PDFs into a internal library. iCloud is fine but Dropbox/OneDrive is preferred. Bonus if I can access through an external PDF reader. Currently have a homemade HTML page but urgh Thanks all. [link] [comments]

Should I upgrade from Yosemite? Posted: 22 Feb 2018 02:33 PM PST Currently have a MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch, Mid 2014) running Yosemite (10.10.2). Everything works and is stable. I am wondering if upgrading to Sierra (or High Sierra) is worth it to get newer features like Siri, better AirPod support, better Messages, and other upgrades. I feel like Yosemite is pretty lightweight and am not looking to slow my machine down. Any advice would be appreciated. [link] [comments]
Posted: 22 Feb 2018 07:28 AM PST I saw someone working and they were able to highlight multiple lines of text to copy or edit in one go, even though they weren't linked in the formatting. Is there a Mac app to do this? Sorry if this is vague, I do not know a better way to explain it. [link] [comments] |
