It must have been today because it sure as hell wasn't yesterday. The subscription grid is back(a little different than before but hey I'll take it over that horitonzal garbage from before) and you can go through the video with the touchpad again instead of slowly rewinding/fast forwarding. It's still not as good as before the last update but I'll take it.

    native Maps built-in

In case you want to use Maps on the Apple TV, just go into Photos > Memories > Select one > Scroll down to Maps. You can zoom via the right edge of the Siri remote. https://i.imgur.com/h04W7Yd.jpg

    AppleTV 4k HDMI cable

    Posted: 22 Feb 2018 10:02 AM PST

Hello, just signed up for the DirectTVNow deal and was wondering if the basic amazon HDMI cable will be enough for the 4k version or are there any recommendations?

    Netflix error 11848 AppleTV 4K

    Posted: 22 Feb 2018 08:31 PM PST

I have a Vizio 4K tv. I'm having a really strange issue where I cannot watch certain Netflix shows on my Apple TV 4K. It gives me an error 11848 on Netflix when I try watching shows with Dolby Vision. I can watch any show I want to Netflix except for ones with Dolby Vision. This is when the error occurs and will not let me play the show. Has anyone ever seen this? I am looking for fix ASAP. Thank you

I have a Amazon Firestick, would getting a Apple TV be worth it?

What would be the advantage of owning a Apple TV over a Firestick? I dont have a 4K TV.

    TV App New Episodes

    Posted: 22 Feb 2018 03:34 PM PST

Those that use the TV App. If you have watched all of the episodes of a show in an app like Hulu that supports the TV App, will it update when a new episode is available in that app? Or do you have to go into the app to look for new episodes? If it does update, how long does it typically take for the new episode to show up in Watch Now?

I have tried WatchAid as well, but would be nice to use the built in app if it updates.

    Switching Accounts & iTunes Library

    Posted: 22 Feb 2018 11:49 AM PST

    Hey /r/appletv

I have an Apple TV 4k on the way and just have a couple quick questions. My main iTunes account is Canadian but I also have a US account. I understand its possible to switch between them on the Apple TV to download region specific apps, but I'm wondering if both are added will their respective iTunes libraries be combined? Can I watch the movies in the US account's library while signed into the Canadian account? Would I need to set up Family Sharing to do this?

    Thanks!

    Cantonese channels?

    Posted: 22 Feb 2018 11:35 AM PST

Hi! My parents recently got a AppleTV because DirectTV/Dish had been getting pretty expensive. I personally just watch Netflix and Hulu, but my parents watch only watch Cantonese channels, so I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations? They watch dramas, but they really want to be able to watch the news (particularly Hong Kong news).
