[UPDATE] AppSync Unified 6.1 — Now with iOS 11 compatibility and other improvements!

IMPORTANT: Regarding AppSync Unified and Piracy

    Changelog for 6.1 (full changelog)

    • Added compatibility with iOS 11.

    • Fixed a (benign) bug where asu_inject would get erroneously enabled on some 32-bit devices.

    Unified AppSync dynamic library for iOS 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, and 11. Supports arm64.

    • AppSync Unified is NOT for piracy.

    • AppSync Unified is for freedom of iOS development with the official Xcode iOS SDK.

    • Jailbreaking is NOT for piracy.

    • Jailbreaking is for freedom of your iOS device.

AppSync Unified is a tweak that patches installd to allow for the installation of unsigned IPA packages on an iOS device. This is particularly useful for iOS developers who are not enrolled in Apple's official iOS Developer Program, as it allows these developers to debug and test their apps on their own devices using modifications such as iOSOpenDev.

I explain the problem with AppSync Unified and iOS piracy rather thoroughly in this reddit post. Please give it a read.

Again, AppSync is NOT meant to support piracy. Obviously it can still be used in that way, and I, nor anyone else can really stop you if you want to pirate, but please don't pirate and support the developers!

[TUTORIAL] Fixing Error: Topanga on Latest Electra, works for me!

    Posted: 26 Feb 2018 08:30 PM PST

I got Error: Topanga before & I do this

use FilzaEscaped, I remove this files:

    1 - Files from LiberiOS/Topanga/Electra Beta /Applications/uicache (I think this from LiberiOS) /usr/lib/libcurses.dylib /usr/lib/libncurses.5.dylib /usr/lib/libncurses.dylib /Library/MobileSubsrate/ folder /etc/dropbear/ folder

*some of that are symlink files

2 - Modified Hosts File also I restored my hosts file to original (I use reddestdream's hosts before to block ads)

    3 - If you install Ext3nder remove: /Applications/Extender.app /Library/Switches/ folder

    4 - If you install ++ Tweaks remove: /usr/lib/ua_tweak_resources/ folder /usr/lib/libuasharedanaltyics.dylib /usr/lib/libuasharedanaltyicsflurry.dylib /usr/lib/libuasharedtools.dylib /usr/lib/libuasharedtoolsapplovin.dylib /usr/lib/libuasharedtoolsappnext.dylib /usr/lib/libuasharedtoolscloudmobi.dylib /usr/lib/libuasharedtoolsgoogle.dylib /usr/lib/libuasharedtoolsinmobi.dylib /usr/lib/libuasharedtoolsmobvista.dylib

--first step is based from Tom Lube's post: https://www.reddit.com/r/jailbreak/comments/7q6tz3/tutorialshit_me_i_did_a_topanga_remove_topanga/

now I got no Error: Topanga again & cydia running well on my phone!

good luck & sorry for bad english!

EDIT: add other posibilities EDIT2: wow, anonymous send me gold, thank you very much! 😊

[News] If you've made modifications to system files on iOS 11 (or have installed topanga/any Electra RC [regardless or leaked or legitimate]) futurerestore now for Electra final release

    Posted: 26 Feb 2018 11:06 AM PST

If you've made modifications to system files on iOS 11 (or have installed topanga/any Electra RC [regardless or leaked or legitimate]), it is recommended to futurerestore now before Electra final release, so you can use SemiRestore11 in the future to unjailbreak your device if needed.

The way SemiRestore11 will work is very different from how SemiRestore has worked in the past, or even from how iTunes restores work. It will behave more similarly to "Time Machine" on macOS High Sierra.

    How it'll work:

    1. Prior to jailbreaking, Electra RC 3.x/final release will check if your device is in a somewhat clean state
    2. If it is not in a somewhat clean state, it'll give you a warning message and ask if you want to continue jailbreaking anyways
    3. However, if it is in a clean state, it will take an APFS snapshot of the root filesystem (/)
    4. Later on, if you would like to utilize SemiRestore, it will tell APFS to revert to the snapshot that Electra created when the device was first jailbroken
    5. After the APFS snapshot of the rootfs is reverted, you can "Reset all Contents and Settings" (which will wipe /var) and you will have a stock iPhone on iOS 11.0 - 11.1.2!

[Discussion] The night I lost everything

    Posted: 26 Feb 2018 05:07 PM PST

Hello r/jailbreak, I want to tell you a story, a story of a man that had a run in destiny.

It was a cold winters night when I saw Coolstar's thread on Electra, advising everyone to restore their devices while they still could as to prevent any future complications, I have taken that advice to heart, and seeing as I have done the process successfully a couple of times before, I had really no worries about this time being any different. So I loaded up my Windows 7 hard drive that had everything pre prepared for the restore, there I went, opening the command prompt, dragging the files needed in that glorious black void - and as the paths appeared and made a beautifull looking block of white text I took a good look, final look at my customized springboard, oh how lovely it was, all themed and designed to my perfection - thinking to myself "We'll see eachother again my dear." , I readied my finger on the "Enter" key, took a deep breath, and let loose the guilottine.

"Valid" it said, and the arrows started moving on my screen, letting me know of the progress, showing me the guts of my device - I held my breath, I felt somehow that this time it would be different, even though the console was telling me everything was going to plan... And then it happened, the green screen appeared, telling me that iBec did it's job and thus the restore began, soon enough my filesystem was no more, ready to be replaced by the fresh new one, an infant still in the womb.

As I was witnessing the birth of my new OS something went wrong, the filesystem was on my phone now, but when it came to flashing the baseband futurerestore couldn't reach Apple's servers, I quickly realised that my WiFi USB stick had disconnected from my home network right in the middle of the process - quickly I reconnected it, heart already racing, hoping everything will be fine now... but no, it was attempt no. 15, it couldn't connect to the server and was stuck, and the following words appeared "futurerestore.exe has stopped working.".

I sank in my chair, motionless and in silence, I turned my head to the device and would you know, the itunes logo appeared, it was over, my waiting was for nothing, countless hours on this community, all gone...

So this is the end of the road for me, I am typing this from my unjailbroken 4s on iOS 6 while waiting for iTunes to download iOS 11.2.6

I feel sort of liberated, no more checking r/jailbreak every 10 minutes, no more tinkering with my device - and I feel okay with that. This will probably lead to my jump back to android after 4 years, things changed, maybe it's not so bad over there anymore.

So here's to you r/jailbreak, thank you for everything.

[Tip] If you're stuck in a respring after installing a tweak, reboot and run Electra with tweaks disabled.

    Posted: 26 Feb 2018 09:38 PM PST

I know it sounds like common sense to some, but I've noticed quite a few people getting stuck and not knowing what to do. This works if you've installed the new version of Anemone and can't respring or accidentally installed Winterboard, and it may help with other tweak related issues. Just force reboot, run Electra and untick Tweaks, then uninstall the offending tweak(s) from Cydia. Reboot and rejailbreak when you're finished.

EDIT: To get Anemone working you need to update RocketBootstrap to Beta 1.0.6. Add http://rpetri.ch/repo/ to your Cydia sources, update RocketBootstrap, then re-download Anemone.

Thanks to ge00uc for the tip.

[UPDATE] AirSpeaker 1.4.1 — Now with iOS 11 compatibility! Turn your iOS device into an AirPlay speaker!

Changelog for 1.4.1 [changelog for all versions]

    • Added iOS 11 compatibility

    Introduction to AirSpeaker

    Works on iOS 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, and 11. Has arm64 support.

AirSpeaker allows you to use your iOS device as an AirPlay speaker, like AirPlayServer and shairport.

This can be useful for those who want to add AirPlay capabilities to an old iPhone/iPod dock, or generic 3.5mm speakers.

AirSpeaker runs as a daemon (system service), and therefore lacks an app icon, as it is not an app.

You may configure and use a password if you wish to do so from its preference pane.

Speaker name is also changeable from AirSpeaker's preference pane (the default being "AirSpeaker").

[Tutorial] Manual tweak installation Electra v1

    Posted: 26 Feb 2018 09:54 PM PST

I'm not responsible for the boot loops you may encounter. If you aren't familiar with the iOS filesystem, don't proceed trying to manually install tweaks.

Per u/DarkStar851 If you have the .deb and SSH access, you can run 'dpkg -i <filename>.deb' when you have root privileges. Otherwise if you backed up your files from the Electra betas, you can copy all of your files into the directories mentioned below.

    Tweaks:

Place .dylib and .plist files (the ones contained in MobileSubstrate or SBInject from Electra beta) into /Library/TweakInject

    Preferences:

Place .plist files (originally found in /bootstrap/Library/PreferenceLoader/Preferences from the Electra beta) into /Library/PreferenceLoader/Preferences

    PreferenceBundles:

Place .bundle files (originally found in /bootstrap/Library/PreferenceBundles from the Electra beta) into /Library/PreferenceBundles

If you don't know what you're doing please don't attempt this - wait until it gets uploaded to Cydia.

[Update] Safari Downloader+, Chrome Downloader+ and Audicy iOS 10.3.3 update

    Posted: 26 Feb 2018 03:41 PM PST

    Hi everyone

I've been sitting on an update for all the above packages but couldn't push them until Cydia finally managed to add support for iOS 10.3.3 purchases.

I'm pleased to announce they are all ready and available in Cydia right now.

As for iOS 11, many users keep asking for an update to support Electra jailbreak. I'm more eager to get them ready but I have to wait until support for Cydia Substrate is added since all my packages rely on it. Otherwise they won't work.

So please be patient and if you have any suggestions or need help with anything relating to these packages, please let me know.

Thank you all for your support.
