Posted: 27 Jan 2018 09:12 PM PST I have several issues with my phone, some including:
I've attempted restoring it for the touch screen/freezing issues, no fix. Do I go to Apple or? I don't want to spend too much money right now. [link] [comments] |
My music only ever shuffles anymore. Posted: 27 Jan 2018 07:35 PM PST Not sure if this is the right place to ask this question, but here goes: I've got an iPhone 6S. When I want to shuffle the songs I've got downloaded, no problem. But when I want to play a playlist through, (like if I want to listen to a soundtrack in order), it will only ever shuffle. Anyone else experiencing this? Or is it just me? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 27 Jan 2018 03:40 PM PST I have an iPhone 6+ that says I'm using over 11gb and only have 300mg available but all of my apps combined add up to around 2gb including all photos. People have told me that it may be software updates but there's no way the software updates are taking up 85% of my storage capacity right? Any advice appreciated [link] [comments] |
Iphone 7 will randomly keep turning on and off the screen then shut down Posted: 27 Jan 2018 07:04 PM PST So I have a iphone 7 just updated to the newest ios 11.2.5 and now my screen keeps turning on and off frequently (without the raise to wake option on or anything else on) and then it would shut down. When I also press and hold the power button, it will shut off directly without having me swipe to confirm I want to shut it off. I have tried to factory reset and reset all settings but it seems constant to do this now. Not really sure why, and the camera just stopped working. Also tried to hard reset and factory reset and everything along those lines. Not sure if there's a fix at all but I rather not go into the apple store. Thanks in advance [link] [comments] |

Restoring backup from iphone6splus to X Posted: 27 Jan 2018 11:32 AM PST Trying to restore my back up from 6s plus to X using iTunes. Itunes says the backup is corrupt. both phones are on latest iOS. Is there a workaround. Dont want to buy any 3P software and apple support website has no good solution.. [link] [comments] |

Posted: 27 Jan 2018 08:03 AM PST I am having issues with my VPN on demand configuration. It connects on demand whenever I try to access my local resources available at *.fritz.box. However, it sometimes also connect when I am in my home WiFi (SSID: Home). For some reason, the routing then does not work anymore. Instead of debugging my VPN, I would rather try to avoid that the iPhone tries to establish a VPN when I am connected to my home WiFi. This is the relevant extract from my config: It seems that the VPN is disconnected when I connect to my home WiFi. But it is still for some reason sometimes established while I am connected to the WiFi. And then the VPN stays connected. I would need to reconnect to the WiFi in order to disconnect is again. I wonder why it is established in the first place given my config above. Any ideas? [link] [comments] |
What percentage of wear is normal for a new iPhone battery after a replacement? Posted: 27 Jan 2018 06:34 AM PST In the last three years(give or take), I've had the battery in my iPhone 5 replaced 3 times with about 1 year between each replacement. The two first times I had the battery replaced, the readouts from various apps(including coconutBattery on my Mac) would state that the battery had about 90-92% of the "design capacity" left. The third time, yesterday, the various apps give me readouts like "0% wear" or "98% of design capacity". My question: Should a new battery always give "0% wear"-like readouts, or in the "100% design capacity" or are the various battery apps too unreliable to accurately estimate the capacity of a new battery? I'm asking mainly because I want to know if the other repair shops gave me a slightly older battery, or if the 90% of design capacity is to be expected even from completely new batteries? My iPhone doesn't have any damage except scratches and is running iOS 10.3.3. Thanks for reading and giving input! *No, I didn't get the battery changed at a Apple Store or an authorized seller as it was out of warranty when the battery started going below 80% of its design capacity. iOS 11.2.5: Verification and Password requested after update. Is this ok? Posted: 27 Jan 2018 05:48 AM PST I just updated to iOS 11.2.5 (on iPhone X) last night and after doing so, I went to the App Store to download a free app and instead of using my Face ID, it asked me to type in my password. And after that, it requested verification of my account by bringing up a window that showed my Apple Billing Information but the credit card Code and Expiration Date fields were blank. I filled in the missing details and all was well afterwards. But is this normal? Did an iOS update trigger the system requiring this verification and requesting me to retype my password? Have others experienced this as well? Now granted my credit card is expiring in a couple of months but that is still months down the road. Thanks. [link] [comments] |
