Posted: 31 Dec 2017 03:08 PM PST I just tried to erase the whole phone but as it was doing that it shut off again. Right now the Apple logo is literally flashing on the screen and I can't do anything to it. It's plugged into my computer right now. When I was able to turn it on, it said it was at 100%, but then it shut down again and when I turned it back on it said it was at 1%. What is going on? I have no idea what to do and I can't go to the Apple store right now. I also have no money for that. It's New Years Eve and I need my phone to use the GPS and contact my friends and family as to where I am. Has anyone had this problem and was able to fix it? All I see on Apple "help" forums is people saying they have the same problem which doesn't help me at all. EDIT: after about 15 minutes, it turned on and said the update was successful but the problem isnt fixed. it shut off again and is back to the flashing.. [link] [comments] |
iPhone SE apps updating very frequently, sometimes 2-3 times a day Posted: 31 Dec 2017 12:33 PM PST I wasn't sure if I should ask this here or on the subreddit of the specific apps so let me know if I should move this. Starting around the 22nd-23rd, I've noticed that some of my game apps have started downloading additional information very frequently, sometimes hour long downloads 2-3 times a day. I've never had this problem before with these apps previously, they would update maybe once every few weeks at most. I would be connected to wifi to preform the update, then as soon as I'm not connected it will update again. Once again I'm not sure if this is related to the apps themselves or the phone, but it's getting a little ridiculous. My brother has the same games and he says they aren't updating that frequently for him. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 31 Dec 2017 12:17 PM PST I sent a text to my employer It was kinda demanding and my dad said I was sorta taking her "for granted" based on how the text was worded. The text has been delivered but she isn't responding to my calls or responding to the text so I doubt she's read my text. Can I change what the text says to make it nicer, hopefully before she actually reads the original text, to make it nicer? Would she even know of the original text? Thanks Even if you respond after she reads my text, your response will help me for future situations [link] [comments] |
Does the iPhone 7 still come with headphone adapter? Posted: 31 Dec 2017 09:58 AM PST I just bought a new 7, and thought it came with a headphone adapter. Is that no longer the case? Thanks [link] [comments] |
Multiple Chargers suddenly not supported within hours (multiple phones) Posted: 31 Dec 2017 09:31 AM PST Hey there, My wife and I had a random issue with two chargers within an hour (or so). I was curious if anyone else has seen this happen recently. Background My wife has the following 3rd Party Charger and it has worked without issue since September. Last night her phone (iPhone 6) kept complaining about the charger being not supported and the phone would stop charging.
At this point I assume the cable is bad and sure, that happens from time to time, no big deal. The Plot Thickens An hour or so later, I plug my phone into its charger and I get the same warning. Connects, buzzes, and says its incompatible. This cable is a typical white lighting cable that I assume came from one of the various apple products we've purchased over the year. This cable is routed into a phone stand so it seems better protected and I assume less likely to have been damaged.
Question Summary It seems really odd to me that both phones complained about two different cables within hours of each other. Just curious if anyone else is having any problems all of a sudden. Thanks for any help or thoughts you may have! [link] [comments] |

Disable headphones from lightning port? Posted: 31 Dec 2017 03:15 AM PST I have a dilemma. The stereo in my car, you can play music via both usb and Bluetooth however usb is faulty however I can still charge my phone via the usb. When I plug the phone into usb and try and play music via Bluetooth, the phone thinks headphones are plugged in. Is there a way to change the function of the input? [link] [comments] |
