| Is there a way to tell if my digital copies are 4k without having the apple tv 4k? Posted: 25 Jan 2018 06:12 PM PST I'm looking at my library in itunes on my macbook, all of them just say HD. Does that mean they are not 4k, or just that they wont play in 4k on my macbook? The majority of them were redeemed through movies anywhere and the codes were from 4k discs. I am thinking about getting an apple tv 4k, but i would like to confirm how much of my library will play in 4k. [link] [comments]  |

| Difference between HDR and Dolby Vision Posted: 25 Jan 2018 01:29 PM PST I have tried doing my homework, read several articles, and I still cannot find a clear answer. Which is a higher quality; HDR or Dolby Vision? I have a 4K Apple TV, and my 4K TV is equipped for DV, and it's at the top of the list under video resolutions, which tells me it should be the highest quality. But I stg that HDR looks brighter and like it has better color, DV looks dull. I tried several different things to watch (4K movie through the movie app, streaming 4K through Netflix, etc.) and I feel stumped. Any help is appreciated. [link] [comments]  |
| Posted: 25 Jan 2018 02:07 PM PST I have beta program checked out and it prompts me to install a new update when I press "check for updates" but when the install and restart is done it's still in 11.2.5. Have tried installing 5 times. Every time it installs an update, but when I check the version number it's still 11.2.5 Anyone know a fix? [link] [comments]  |

| Editing TV/Movie Metadata for iCloud Hosted Content Posted: 25 Jan 2018 09:50 AM PST Is there anyway to edit the metadata for shows/movies you own and have that propagate to all your devices? I can download shows on my laptop and edit season/episode numbers to fix the sometimes poor/frustrating metadata from Apple, if I delete that show locally it will retain the metadata set locally, but it won't show on other devices, most importantly my AppleTV where accurate metadata is more important.
