    Help: iMessage Failing for a Couple Dozen Contacts

    Hi!

    Yesterday I had my phone number switched (same phone) so I started texting through my contacts and letting everyone know. I didn't have a problem until I got to non-iPhone users; SMS texts would not deliver to them. Later, this problem resolved but within a few minutes I was unable to send iMessages to any more iPhone users. I could send and receive iMessages from those who I had already texted, but not anyone else who I hadn't gotten to yet in my contacts. I send the message, and it fails.

    Today it's doing the same thing, even for some people I had already been texting. All of their stuff is showing as green and iMessages will not deliver to them from my phone, MacBook, or iPad-- even though they will send for others. I know that it can't be an error on their end, because they are people I text regularly and there are too many of them for it to be the same problem over and over.

    Here's what I've tried so far:

    - I turned off iMessage, restarted my phone, and turned it back on.

    - I switched the sender between my icloud and my phone number.

    - I deleted the contacts and text threads of the people I can't send to and tried sending it to their number.

    - I made sure the contact had the number listed as an iPhone rather than a phone.

    - I tried sending via both wifi and data.

    Does anyone have any other suggestions? I need to make sure I am able to contact these people and that they can also contact me.

    Can’t hear FaceTime Audio

    Anyone else having problems with FaceTime Audio? I can hear who I'm calling but they can't hear me. Viber, whatsapp, & messenger calls work just fine.

    Anti-aliasing

    My video on YouTube are blurry but when I slide the video down a little bit it disables it

    Can I disable it as a whole like on the older iPhones (2010) ?

    Location issues in Focus Mode Automations and Notify When Left Behind

    Hi everyone,

    I am having problems setting up the Location Automation of my Focus modes and the locations that should be excluded from Notify When Left Behind (NWLB).

    I have 3 locations stored in my personal Contact Card: Home, Work and Parent's Home that I would like to use as the locations for the Focus automations and NWLB. For example, I would like my Work focus to turn on when I am at work and to exclude my keys from NWLB if I leave them at Home or my Parent's Home.

    The issue is that if I select any of these Contact Card saved locations, it opens the map to select whether I want a Small, Medium or Large range of activation at a completely different address than the one I selected. It is consistent given that it always opens the same "random" address for the same saved location, but not a single one of my saved locations opens correctly.

    I noticed this problem happening right after I installed iOS 15.1 and submitted feedback to Apple, but it is still happening today.

    Do you have any ideas of what might be causing this problem and how can it be fixed? Did anyone experience a similar issue?

    Question about notification sounds

    Does anyone know if it's possible to disable notification sounds while the screen is on without putting the phone on mute? I like having the sounds when it's in my pocket but I don't see a need to get sounds when I'm already using the phone. Thanks.

    Slight lag when swiping to leave an app

    Anyone else have this weird thing on your iPhone where when swiping up from the bottom to go to the home screen there is like a half second delay? And then after that you are then taken to the home screen? This happened on my SE2 and now my iPhone 13.

    New iOS user facing some issues and missing some apps, can you guys help me out?

    1. Notifications- Notifications in Android were much more sorted out. Eg. in WhatsApp I could swipe down on a notification and messages would appear together as a chat not as individual messages. Any way/app to fix that?
    2. Reddit- I was using Boost on Android for Reddit, anything similar with a swipe layout that shows the entire post? All reddit apps I've tried on iOS only show a part of the post.
    3. Audio source change - Is the only way to change current audio source between speakers/ headphones and your phone, to go to notifications, open the music notification and then change the source?

    Can't think of anymore right now but any tips to make iOS feel more at home as an Android user?

    What does "Save Event" do when long-pressing on an event in Calendar?

    Recently, I noticed that when I long-press on an event in Calendar (in my case, it was a repeating event) on iPhone, I get presented with two options, "Save only this event" and "Save all future events".

    Can anybody explain to me what these options do? I could not find anything about them.

    I've deleted folders permanently from recently deleted in the Files app, and want to recover some of the files that I selectively deleted before deleting the folder they were in. When I recover those files, what folder will they recover into?

    Spotlight issue with Safari

    Hello everyone,

    I've been an iOS user for a year now, everything goes wonderfully but I encounter a problem when I want to do a quick search with Spotlight. Here is the problem:

    I type my query in the search bar, I select the Safari result, but Safari will open and display the last open tab, it will not show me the Google results of my search. In addition, sometimes an empty loading screen appears, which leads me to repeat my search several times.

    Have you ever encountered this type of behavior with Spotlight and Safari?

    What can we do?

    Edit: I'm on iOS 15.4.1 and I've always encountered this problem since iOS 14

    There seems to be a general issue with the gmail app on ios since 15.x. When I scroll in an email there‘s terrible stuttering. Scrolling though the list of mails is fine but as soon as I open a mail it gets terrible. I found a related thread in the gmail community. Does anyone know anything more?
