    Stop Apple TV automatically turning on with TV?

    My Apple TV automatically turns on when I turn on my LG C1, which then hijacks the input. Is there a way to prevent the Apple TV from turning on automatically when it detects the TV it's connected to is turned on? As it stands, every time I use my TV for anything other than the Apple TV, I have to manually switch the input back after the Apple TV steals it.

    I don't want to disable HDMI CEC, because then when I actually do want to use the Apple TV, it won't turn the TV off or on, or switch to the correct input.

    ATV and HomePod minis

    Syncing 2 HomePod minis to Apple TV using ethernet cable cannot connect pods to TV. Does it need to be connected to wifi v. ethernet cable? Thanks.

    Option to buy/rent dissapeared from AppleTV

    Hey guys, I having a weird issue with my appleTV app on my Sony Bravia Android TV. Up until about a week ago I had a number more options on my AppleTV app - movies and series, discounts as well the option to rent or buy those. I actually bought a couple of movies a few months ago directly from my TV. A couple of days ago I saw I no longer have that option. Just the option to add to e watch list and "How To Watch" button which doesn't really offer much help. There have been no updates over the TV or the apps, no changes on my Apple ID, the payment method is added, unchanged and still valid.

    Does any one have any idea what might be causing this? I have tried everything and still hasn't changed

    Hulu App won’t Login on Apple TV?

    Tried Logging in to my Hulu account on Apple TV and every time I enter the email it freezes for 30 seconds then kicks me out to the Home Screen. I haven't log into Hulu on my Apple TV in a few weeks but now it won't let me log into it. I restarted the app reinstalled it and reset my Apple TV and still nothing. It just freezes and nothing works till it closes itself. Any fixes or same issues?

    Hw to watch apple tv plus content in 1080p on apple tv 4k? My tv is samsung 4k tv, but I have limited data cap and sometimes I want to watch in 1080p? If i change the resolution is apple tv settings to 1080 sdr or hdr , will that work? And will that affect 4k screensavers playback?

    Hey guys, does anyone know if I am able to output Dolby atmos sound to my receiver by connecting it to the Apple TV directly even if my TV does not support Dolby atmos or vision ?

    How's do I set this up?

    In my audio settings do I click other formats ? Because video does not show my Dolby vision in the settings

    Apple TV Freezing when I change the volume

    About 1/3 of the time I use the volume buttons on the standard Apple remote it freezes the whole system. The only thing I can do is shut off the whole thing. When I turn it back on it works fine, no issues. I'm using and AppleTV 4K. Has anyone else experienced this? Anyone have any thoughts?

    Apple TV turning on my TV half the time

    Ever since I got my Apple TV the remote turns my TV on 50% of the time, it's such a hit or miss that I have to keep another remote right beside my Siri remote just to get my TV to turn on..

    HDMI-CEC is enabled otherwise the TV wouldn't turn on at all via remote, I'm at a lost here I feel like I'm missing something.

    My current TV (Yes it's quite old)

    Edit; Using my HomePod or my iPhone to say "Hey Siri, Turn my TV on" triggers my TV to turn on more frequently than the Siri remote, not sure if this is relevant.

    Which is the correct video setting for best picture quality?

    Ive just bought a new Apple TV 4K (2021). I'm in India where the voltage is 230v/50hz. While setting up, by default the ATV selected 1080p/50hz STD for the video resolution. For watching Netflix, Prime, YouTube movies, would this be the best resolution, or should I set 1080p/59.94hz, or 1080p/60hz? I did try these settings but couldn't see any difference. Do these settings actually make any difference for the apps mentioned? Ps: I have set Match Frame rate and Dynamic Range to ON.

    New 5th gen - can’t pair remote

    Bought my first Apple product - 5th gen Apple TV from Apple store on amazon.

    Have charged remote for an hour using supplied lightning cable and Apple plug.

    Apple TV boots up ok, and asks me to press remote which I can and responds fine.

    Then it asks to "pairing your remote, make sure that the remote is charged, in range and ready to pair"

    Have the remote on top of Apple TV and nothing happens.

    Have been through the various steps to power off/on, hold back and volume up, but nothing seems to let me get past this screen. Any ideas?

    Do I need to return this or am I missing something?

    Apple tv purchase dilemna

    Hi folks,

    Currently have a Samsung 4k tv UA50MU6100. It also supports Dolby digital plus. This is 2018 model which doesn't have eARC HDMI port but does have ARC HDMI port. We are planning to purchase a Dolby Atmos soundbar: Sony ht zf9. Was wondering if apple tv is worth purchasing for Dolby Atmos? Is anyone using apple tv 4k in such a setup?

    Setting up Apple TV (3rd Gen)

    My dad got a third generation Apple TV from his friend, but there was no remote. I could not use any remote. I tried to set it up using my phone by tapping the top, but it got stuck on information about sharing data. Now the Apple TV does not detect my phone. I tried to restore it, but it does not appear in iTunes on windows. I need help to set it up and make it work.

    DAE have the Remote app stop working on ATV3 recently?

    The network connection seems fine, AirPlay from iPhone works, and so does streaming Music/Movies from iTunes library. But the built-in remote app or iTunes Remote app on the same phone doesn't detect the Apple TV

    Restrictions not working

    Having an issue with my new 4K. I set up restrictions so you had to enter a passcode to open each app. They were working fine for a week or so, but suddenly they won't work. Tried toggling off and on the restrictions and they still do not work. Tried a restart too. Anyone have this problem and have a fix?

    Apple TV 4K - Two Headphones

    I know that the Apple TV 4k allows to connect two headphones at once.

    I currently have an AirPods Pro and a Sony Wh1000xm2 that I want to be able to connect at same time to watch TV.

    Is this possible? Is Apple TV compatible to "sharing" audio between these two devices?
