iPhoneX virus??? |
| Posted: 25 Mar 2021 10:18 PM PDT firstly i know there's probably a bunch of more specific subs i could go to for this, just not quite sure which ones lol. but i downloaded a private browser app before reading reviews (very stupid of me i know now) and when i opened the app, a pop up saying my iphone had contracted a bunch of viruses came up so i immediately deleted the app and headed to the reviews. obviously i went straight to the lowest ratings and low and behold a bunch of people saying the same thing about a pop up or actually getting viruses. basically my question is what should i do about this? is there any way i can know for sure that i have a virus or not because i really would rather avoid doing a factory reset at all costs and i also do not have access to any computer or laptop. if i transferred data like photos and messages to my Ipad, then factory reset my phone, would i be able to reactivate my phone with only a charger and no computer or other device? is this really the easiest option? it seems like so much effort and i'm scared that if i reset my phone, it won't come back on which would leave me with absolutely no phone or option to get a new one for a few years.... which isn't an option lol. am i stuck with a virus ridden phone??
