| Posted: 04 Apr 2022 05:51 AM PDT Hi pals, I honestly feel kind of silly asking for help with a battery issue with my mid 2015 Macbook Pro (Big Sur 11.5.1),, I know that's ancient for a computer, and I'll likely be replacing it in the fall for my senior year of college. But for now… I've definitely noticed in the past year or so (especially after upgrading to Big Sur) that the battery fairly quickly—a full charge may only last for 4 hours on apps that consume relatively little power (ie. chrome, word), and less than 1 hour in 3D games. All of this is understandable, so I take the charger with me everywhere I go, not a big problem. But today, I booted up the Sims 4 when my laptop was at 70% and not plugged in, figuring that would give me enough time to plug it in when I next felt like getting up. After about one minute on just the main menu screen (no 3D graphics yet) my laptop died. I thought it might have just been one of those fun old laptop glitches where it thinks it's out of battery but upon reboot, it would be back at 70%, or at least in the high 60's. But when it finally started up again plugged in, it said 0%. I sat there for 10 or so minutes watching it inch back up to 8%, and by then I was fed up so I started typing out this post on mobile. After about 5 more minutes, I looked back up and it was suddenly at 76%. So the complete loss of power appears to have been a lie, as I originally suspected. But I'm wondering why this happened at all, and what I can do to prevent this from happening in the future. Any thoughts or suggestions? [link] [comments] |

| My iPhone 13 PM can't play YT above 480p but everything else can Posted: 04 Apr 2022 06:15 AM PDT How come when I'm in my house and in the same room as my router, my iPhone 13 Pro Max can't run a YouTube video above 480p without major stuttering? But all other video apps like HBO and Netflix on it always play at the best quality with no drops. My router is in my main room with my PC and TV. And they have no problems playing YT videos at 1440p regularly. [link] [comments] |

Like I'm starting from scratch and they were never there. My old ones that were importer from my old computer. I also made sure that the new rows were saved by closing/opening again the particular note. Has this happened to anyone else, and if so, did you find a way to recover the lost data? | MacBook is not turning on but charging Posted: 04 Apr 2022 04:16 AM PDT I have a MacBook Air early 2015. Yesterday, I turned on my mac, it started normally however the screen glitched and it shut down. I connected the power cable, it showed orange. When I did the SMC reset, the color changed to green and no indicator shown. I unplugged and replugged the cable again. I pressed the power button for 10 sec and did not turn on. I have been doing this from yesterday and nothing works. I have been using my Mac for 6 year, I didn't spill any liquids nor played any games. It charged within 2 hours and when I plugged in again today, it showed green. Caps lock isn't lighting, I put flash light at the apple logo, it didn't light the screen. Please help me. | iMessage Failing for a Couple Dozen Contacts Posted: 04 Apr 2022 03:45 AM PDT Hi everyone! Yesterday I had my phone number switched (same phone) so I started texting through my contacts and letting everyone know. I didn't have a problem until I got to non-iPhone users; SMS texts would not deliver to them. Later, this problem resolved but within a few minutes I was unable to send iMessages to any more iPhone users. I could send and receive iMessages from those who I had already texted, but not anyone else who I hadn't gotten to yet in my contacts. I send the message, and it fails. Today it's doing the same thing, even for some people I had already been texting. All of their stuff is showing as green and iMessages will not deliver to them from my phone, MacBook, or iPad-- even though they will send for others. I know that it can't be an error on their end, because they are people I text regularly and there are too many of them for it to be the same problem over and over. Here's what I've tried so far: - Deleted text message threads and waited for several hours in case the phone was just overwhelmed. - I turned off iMessage, restarted my phone, and turned it back on. - I switched the sender between my icloud and my phone number. - I deleted the contacts and text threads of the people I can't send to and tried sending it to their number. - I made sure the contact had the number listed as an iPhone rather than a phone. - I tried sending via both wifi and data. Does anyone have any other suggestions? I need to make sure I am able to contact these people and that they can also contact me. Thank you in advance! [link] [comments] |
