    So I went to the Apple Store determined to get a stainless steel and ended up buying an aluminum.

    So I've been an Apple Watch user since gen 3. Until an hour ago I had a blue aluminum series 6. I've always been attracted to the stainless steel version and this time I was determined to splurge, however I ended up just getting another aluminum (midnight). https://imgur.com/a/ADf2vGH

    First of all, the space grey stainless steel was way too shiny. Both, the body and the sapphire crystal. I liked it but not as much as I was expecting. It felt less like a piece of tech and more like a piece of tech trying to be a piece of jewelry. In paper that idea was more appealing to me than in real life.

    That was not reason enough to steer me away though. I still was going to go with stainless.

    I was about to pay when the very nice sales lady made a huge deal about how I should get Apple care. I was determined not to get it because in all these years I've never broken an Apple Watch and I figured that with stainless + sapphire that was even less likely to happen. I told her this and she (who was wearing a stainless steel series 5) told me that she had actually broken her Watch before. She insisted so much that I figured that if I was going to get apple care, what was the point of having a sturdier watch with aesthetics that i did not like more? Keep in mind that I work in an office.

    I hesitated and ended up getting midnight aluminum WITH apple care. I think I made a good decision, and I'm happy with it. But hey, let me read your thoughts.

    I recently bought an SE. Does anyone have any suggestions for apps that provide personalized insights based on the data captured by the watch? I'm looking for eg suggesting to work out less/take a rest day after a series of intense workouts or lowered vitals, or helping you create a workout routine based on current fitness levels.

    Has anyone bought a case for the AW 7 in "GERMANY" that is actually for the AW7?

    I've been looking at the amazon shop, and I get that the sellers are offering the AW6 cases for the AW7 and if you read people's reviews, they all write that it doesn't go completely through the screen.

    Has anyone bought one, that works properly with the AW 7? on Amazon or in any shop?

    By the way I searched the question and didn't get an answer that is for Germany. I understand that in the USA you can easily get a case for the AW 7.

    A7 Nike 45mm cellular, Otterbox case, Zagg screen protector, Nomad rugged wrist strap. A bit big for my small wrists but liking it. It’s my first AW. Getting a full day with 20-30% battery left including surfing and swimming sessions. Not Garmin battery type life but good.

    It places the apple watch on the table so it can pick up vibrations better when you want to use the tap-for-time feature. Any thoughts on it please comment!

    Apps won’t download- Suggestions?

    I have a series 3 watch. One of my apps wouldn't install so I tried -turning watch and phone off and on -unpairing and repairing -resetting watch to factory settings

    Both devices were on wifi and connected by Bluetooth. I tried with both on their chargers too. I've tried to add the apps directly from the App app on the watch.

    All that this resulted in was my watch loosing all my downloaded apps and failing to re-install any of them. The little circle just spins and then gives up.

    Anything else I should try?

    New owner, trying to understand the Training/Exercise ring and calibration correct

    Hi,

    I am the owner of an Apple Watch SE since three weeks. The first days it was easy to fill my green training/exercise ring. But since then it has been not so easy. While I think I should move my arms more while walking (or perhaps trying to be more alert if I am indeed walking briskly) could this also be the calibration effect? Ie. my watch learning more about my heartrate and when it is elevated enough to be counted as excercise? Or could this be water damage? (not that my watch has come into contact with water that I know of)

    I filled in my personal details in brutal honesty, and if I start walking I always select outdoor walking from the work out list on my watch. I walked for almost an hour today (and I really felt that I had walked) but only got 3 minutes on my green ring, so I am a bit salty :(

    For background I have a panic disorder, I was talking to my therapist and he said a smart watch would be a good idea as it would assure me nothing is wrong and I could delegate checking symptoms (racing heart, hyperventilation) to the watch, if there was something wrong it would tell me. I'm going to get the series 7 this week, it'll be my first smart watch.
