    Apple Engineers are stumped why my S7 won't let me bring up the keyboard. Maybe you can figure it out.

    I got my s7 on launch day and ever since when I go into messages I can't use the keyboard. I've had apple support walk me through it many times and when I tap on the msg bubble nothing happens. I've reset it, paired if as a new watch, apple has asked me to try everything and nothing has worked. My 14 days was almost up so I returned the watch and got a new one just incase it was a fluke hardware issue. It wasn't, I have the same issue on the second one.

    3 weeks ago my ticket got elevated to the engineering team and today they called me. Basically they have no idea. They did have me try one thing which kind of worked. They had me load the simplified Chinese keyboard to my phone and now the keyboard pops up and when I change it back to English it stays. They then had me delete the keyboard and restart both devices and this works, but I have to do it on every text in order to have it stick. The result stumped them even more. To make matters stranger when I change my region to Uruguay the keyboard works.

    Does anyone here have any thoughts on this issue? Apple today basically told me they have no idea and don't really know where to go from here. I thought maybe someone here would have an idea.

    Why doesn't the mindfulness app silence notifications?

    I'm a new owner of an Apple Watch and the whole thing is really quite nice. I've been using the mindfulness feature daily because why the heck not.

    When I'm using mindfulness though, why are notifications not silenced automatically? I don't care about whatever meme the group chat is posting for the one minute I've taken to breathe. Surely it makes sense for everything to be silenced or for there be an option to silence everything while it's activated, no?

    Am I missing a setting? Is there a way to make this happen?

    Wondering if anyone has switched from Fitbit Versa 3 to the Series 7.

    What are your thoughts? I don't have Fitbit Premium, so basic use of the Versa. Highly considering selling it and my old Garmin and replacing them with the Series 7 no cellular (don't have a need for that in the watch).

    Size help for braided solo loop

    I need help for chosen size of a braided solo loop. When doing sport with my Nike sport band I use the 5th hole for a tight fit and if I use it casually I use the 4th hole.

    Apple size guide (44mm) says 5th hole = size 8, 4th hole = size 9.

    What size would you recommend? See picture for fit with sport band.

    Remote control for iPhone

    I'm going to guess it's not possible, but I would love someone to correct me if I'm wrong.

    Is there a way to use an Apple Watch as a remote for your phone? My son will watch YouTube videos on my phone and I usually use "guided access" to limit him being able to touch the screen and exit the app. But when there's an ad he gets a little upset. Unfortunately what this means is I need to take the phone away from him, exit guided access mode, skip the ad, then reenable guided access and give it back to him.

    It's cumbersome, annoying and I feel like there's gotta be a better way. I'm at | | close to just buying YouTube red or whatever it's called now so I don't have to deal with ads, but I thought I'd look into this first.

    GIF selection on Apple messages loading wrong gif on watch os8

    Anyone else having this issue? On my series 7 watch with watchos8, I tap on a gif to send in a message & it shows it loading the correct gif, but then in the message preview it shows a completely different gif I didn't choose. It seems to be loading the wrong gif every time I try to send one with messages on the watch. Phone still works as expected though.

    I just got a S7 45mm Aluminium in Midnight and right out of the box, the side button has been making a weird clicking sound upon pressing and releasing the button. The button also feels a bit unusual as if there's some play in it. It is bugging me a lot and I'm not sure if I should ride this out and hope that clicking sound goes away or address it ASAP. Not sure if Apple will even address a slightly wonky button anyway.

    Please advise.

    Do I need Cellular to stream Spotify without my phone nearby?

    I'm planning on using the watch to stream music when I'm going on runs as I don't like the feel of having my phone with me, but I'm seeing a lot of conflicting reports saying that you need cellular, or that you don't need cellular but you can instead download them to a non-cellular apple watch.

    To summarize: For the SE, do I need to get cellular if I want to listen to music when I run without my phone nearby, or can I download music on a non-cellular SE and save the money buying cellular?
