Posted: 30 Sep 2021 03:08 AM PDT Since I upgraded to the new 2. generation ATV 4K (from ATV 4K 1. Generation) I experience several short audio drops when I start any audio or video. For example. When I start playing music on Apple Music the first seconds of the song I get several audio dropouts. The same behaviour happens with Spotify or any other audio source. It also happens with Netflix, Amazon Prime ect. My ATV is connected to a Denon AVR 3312. I already tried changing several settings in the Apple TV menu but nothing helped. Never had an issue with the Apple TV 4K. 1 Generation which I find weird. [link] [comments]

Did the spatial audio test but couldn't tell a difference? Posted: 30 Sep 2021 12:55 AM PDT So I updated my apple TV 4k (2021) earlier and saw spatial audio in the settings for my Airpods Pro. I did the "test" though and couldn't notice any difference. No matter where I moved my head the sound stayed the same. I have an android phone so my pros are probably outdated. Think that's the issue? I had spatial audio turned on on the TV but even playing for all mankind and foundation I heard nothing different. [link] [comments]
Posted: 29 Sep 2021 04:04 PM PDT Since the update everytime I pull out my airpods a little message comes up that covers a good chunk of the upper right corner saying something like your airpods are ready to be connected. Is there any way of turning this off? It's getting very annoying. e: u/svinki came to save the day by giving us the solution: You can turn it off in Remotes and Devices: Bluetooth: Suggest Nearby AirPods. If/when you decide you want to play through your AirPods, you can go though the AirPlay control in the Control Center. [link] [comments]
Audio issues using iPad to control Apple music on Apple TV Posted: 29 Sep 2021 05:09 PM PDT I have my Apple TV hooked up to a projector so controlling it with an iPad is ideal. When I tried that today the spacial audio was acting strange with channels getting mixed up and moving around, almost like head tracking was on (eg vocals only coming out of the left speaker). Any way to stop this? It works mostly fine when playing through the native app + remote. [link] [comments]

Posted: 29 Sep 2021 06:52 AM PDT Hi everyone, I've been searching everywhere for a solution to my problem and tried all the proposed solutions with no luck. Reaching out to anyone who is having similar issues. I just bought a brand new Apple TV 4k but I notice an audio stutter that comes randomly right after starting playback, the audio stutters once and then again every few seconds to minute, it sometimes stops after a while. It happens across any app I have, AppleTV+, Netflix, YouTube etc. but what I have noticed is that it is more likely to happen playing high bandwidth content like 4k, but this has also happened while playing a low res song on youtube. Having said that, my cables are fine, the AppleTV is connected to 1 GB wired internet connection and I have tried multiple different HDMI cables, tried switching to my PS5 2.1 cable that hasn't showed any issue but still stuttering through AppleTV. My setup is: AppleTV 4k - HDMI 2.1 - Samsung 6000 series ( 2017 ) - Optical out - Cambridge CXA61 Stereo Amplifier I have tried multiple different settings: AppleTV:
Samsung audio settings:
I do not get this stuttering issue when streaming from apps on the tv itself But, to add a layer of mystery. I tried turning my stereo off and listen through my TV speakers ( I always set the TV volume to 0 if I'm using the stereo ). Get this, there is no stutter in the TV speakers when watching through the Apple TV. Is there some decoding taking place on the TV before forwarding the audio to the stereo [link] [comments]
Posted: 29 Sep 2021 03:26 PM PDT My Apple TV remote app on my iPhone randomly won't connect to my Apple TV. It's worked for years, but suddenly can't connect as of this morning. The Apple TV and phone are on the same network. I've unpaired, and they won't pair back. The phone app still connects with all other Apple TV's in the house. Any ideas what's going on? Spacial audio - so I have to enable it for each app? Posted: 29 Sep 2021 02:57 PM PDT I am using my AirPods Pro and Apple TV 4K. For each supported app do I have to enable it, how? Is there a way to know if spacial audio is enable for the content I am watching? [link] [comments]
Posted: 29 Sep 2021 08:35 AM PDT My Apple TV 4k is plugged into my router with Gigabit fiber getting at least 400 mbps consistently. Every streaming app I use through the Apple TV is flawless (YouTube TV, Hulu, Disney+, Netflix, etc), EXCEPT for Apple TV+. Apple's own shows stream very inconsistently, sometimes in full 4k with no issues, but more often streaming with terrible quality (below 720p) or even pausing to buffer every 30 seconds. Has anyone else had this issue? It almost seems like it's an issue with Apple's servers trying to keep up with demand during peak hours. [link] [comments]
Any way to get Amazon Music HD on Appletv? Or does anyone know of an update coming soon? Posted: 29 Sep 2021 10:15 AM PDT Basically what the title says. I can get Amazon Music HD on my phone, but not on Appletv. Oddly, when I airplay the content from my phone it sounds decidedly better than the Amazon Music app. I looked in the app notes and it appears the last update version was over a year ago. It's not a bad experience airplaying from my phone and watching the screen savers, but, seems like it would be nice to get HD content right on the device. Thanks! [link] [comments]
Updating Sports Page Without Restarting OS? Posted: 29 Sep 2021 08:16 AM PDT Occasionally the Sports page will get stuck with old and expired programming on it and I've been unable to figure out a way to force the app to refresh on its own without rebooting the entire OS. There has to be an easier way to do this right? [link] [comments]
YouTube issue with HomePod mini Posted: 29 Sep 2021 06:09 AM PDT The sound output is really bad when playing videos at 1.25x and have to switch to the TV speaker. Has anyone had this problem? Any suggestions? [link] [comments]
Problems reaching gigabit download speeds on ATV 4K(non 2021 model) on wired connection. Posted: 29 Sep 2021 09:20 AM PDT So I just switched to Google Fiber about a month ago now. I seem to only be able to reach max 300-330mbps download speeds while reaching 900+ upload speeds. What could possibly be the problem, I've even run speed test on my router and pulling anywhere from 865+ download speeds and 900+ upload speeds. I know it's not a Google Fiber issue. Has anyone else had this issue before? And what did you do to fix it? Also have tried various cables all Cat6 or higher, with same results. [link] [comments]
Posted: 29 Sep 2021 05:15 AM PDT About a month ago I bought a Samsung 50" Class & Series TV and the new Apple TV. I know this is base model 4K TV, but I have been having audio sync issues with anything that is surround sound. If I put the Apple TV on stereo only then everything is in sync. I first noticed it on Disney+ and then on Apple TV+. We have YouTube TV which does not yet have 5.1 on live TV, but does on some On Demand content. I noticed it when I watched a VOD version of FBI, but it went away when I switched to stereo. If I use Samsung's YouTube TV app then there are no sync issues with 5.1, but I prefer to use the Apple TV. At first I thought it could be my soundbar (connected with an optical cable) since it's probably about 7 years old, but I still had the sync issues when I went through the TV speakers only. I have no idea how old the HDMI cable is that I'm using on the Apple TV. It could be 10 years old for all I know. I ordered a new HDMI cable, but I'm doubtful that will do anything. Any ideas?
