I just cant make calls? and no one can call my phone either? not just regular phone number but audio time face time Instagram etc. It shows I have full reception bars and no its not a prepaid number What could it be? its not a super old iPhone, not beat up and It just happens randomly [link] [comments]  |

Posted: 16 May 2021 11:29 PM PDT I own an iPhone SE (1st gen) and am looking for an app that will screen cast my phone to the TV (an LG that seemingly doesn't support AirPlay). I must have tried at least five different ones last night, and every single one of them asks you to 'sign up' for a short free trial, then monthly payments thereafter. I don't trust any app that wants money so have come here to ask if there's any out there that are genuinely free and allow you to mirror/cast your phone screen without having to sign up? | How can I get (audible) text notifications for Contacts only? (iPhone 12) Posted: 16 May 2021 06:12 PM PDT The only way I can see to do this is to set the default Text Tone to None, and then "whitelist" each contact individually with their own Text Tone (thought I haven't tested it). Alternately, it would be nice if I could use the new Known/Unknown Senders groupings and mute Unknown Senders, but that doesn't appear to be an option yet. Any other ideas? | Posted: 16 May 2021 09:20 PM PDT hello, I'm unable to enable the camera or photo album on any of my apps, I've tried enabling it in the settings but the option just vanished, I can't attach, post or send photos without having to copy or share them directly from my photos app and while my camera app works perfectly fine I cannot use it on any other app. does anyone know how to fix this? | i have an iphone 6s plus, with image issues Posted: 16 May 2021 09:19 PM PDT my iphone 6s plus, doesn't seem to work with png images, i'm a mobile graphic designer and these images are really important to me, this started around january of this year. i always had a ton of transparent png images on my phone used for my designing, but they all got white backgrounds, i've tried deleting the images and redownloading them but the white background comes back within minutes, sometimes even seconds, ive also tried removing the background but again, it comes back in about a minute.before they get the background, athletes a little downloading motion circle in the corner, and my editing apps say 'downloading from icloud' anyone know how to fix this? | iPhone 7 Plus, won't boot and no power Posted: 16 May 2021 08:40 AM PDT Hi. I have an iPhone 7 Plus, which decided to stop working. It has been fine ever since day 1. However, about a two weeks ago, I was using it and it went flat. I went to charge, it booted back up and then it was left charging. When I came back to check a few hours later, it was off. I tried turning it on and then tried pressing the vol down + power button and nothing. Next step immediately was just taking it to the Apple store. They advised that they tested it and found that no power was going into the device at all. Not exactly sure what diagnostic they ran, but they said there was no current being detected. They said it was completely dead and the best step would be to buy a new device. I understand if that is the case. However,...I'm not quite ready to completely call it quits on this device just yet. I would like to at least try to get it working again, even if it was to just grab some recent photos that I know haven't been backed up. I might be completely oversimplifying this, but my first thought is that either the battery or the charging port has died in the process of charging. If it's either of these two, I'd be comfortable trying to do it myself. The parts are easily attainable from iFixit; and I have had some limited experience with small electronics. I have reviewed the process of doing either of these replacements and keen to give the challenge a shot. If it's the motherboard itself or if it requires any soldering, then that would be beyond skillset, so I probably wouldn't go down that path myself if that were to be the case. Before I embark on the journey, I was hoping that Reddit could offer up any advice or help. Any suggestions for diagnostics, next steps, etc., would be massively appreciated. | Really weird and mysterious with iphone/ipad technology Posted: 16 May 2021 07:08 PM PDT So I went to my parent's with my ipad and my iphone. My iphone is connected to 3g internet + bluetooth on, and my ipad is just not connected to the internet, only bluetooth is on... Now my little game that I play everyday sent me a notification saying that my shield is about to expire. To my great surprise, my IPAD received the notification!! without it even being connected to internet! Could it be that the iphone sent the notification to my ipad via bluetooth?? It might be important to mention that both devices share the same icloud apple id. By the way I went home and tried to replicate the incident by turning off the wifi on my ipad and sending myself a message on facebook messenger and it just doesnt work! My ipad did not receive the notification...even though I put it right next to the iphone...unexplainable.. | Posted: 16 May 2021 12:55 PM PDT Hi! Is there any possible way to stop my iphone from randomly giving me pop up alerts of my system settings and suggesting I make changes? The most frequent pop up is the "location services work better with wifi on" alert that requires you to interact with it, but there are others. I'm also getting deeply irritated with the incessant pop ups about apps using my location. I have my wifi off for a reason and didn't ask iOs's opinion about it, and I don't like that I have to give apps permission for location over and over in the same apps. I set things the way I like them, and don't want iOs asking me how sure I am about my settings like it's an insecure chip reader at the grocery store asking for the third time if I'm sure I want to spend $53. I restored the phone from my cloud backup, and took it to the At&t store to have the electronic sim put on. When I tried to use an alternative sim in the physical slot, I still receive the message that the phone is locked. How can I fix this? | Posted: 16 May 2021 10:48 AM PDT So I bought this phone off my friend and he has called his carrier to unlock the phone before he sold it to me. Now after setting everything up, I put in my sim card and it can't find any network. So I went into Settings - General - About, and I see that "Network Provider Lock" says "No SIM restrictions" but then when I click "Network" on the same page it tells me "SIM not allowed". I've tried to look for any answers online but couldn't find anyone who had this same problem. I've also tried to restart the phone, reset the network settings, take the sim card out and put it back in, etc. If anyone could help me out that would be great because i've never used an iPhone in my life. | will the iphone 11 pose future issues or problems when i pressed the screen too hard Posted: 16 May 2021 08:36 AM PDT my brother and i got into a fight. he hates people touching his phone so to make him mad, i tried to bend his iphone 11 by pressing both of my thumbs in the middle. the screen showed a huge green colour in the middle when i pressed it but it went away slowly after a couple of seconds. i feel really bad because its the first phone he bought with his own money and now im afraid it might get broken. did i potentially break the lcd or the screen of his phone or should it just be ok? :( [link] [comments]  |

I would like to confirm that my main reason for switching is legitimate. If I purchase an unlocked iPhone 12 from Apple would it work with any carrier in the U.S. And specifically would I have VOLTE and WIFI calling on all carriers? Thanks [link] [comments]  |
