    As you are all aware that Google Photos is ending its free high quality unlimited photo upload feature on June 1, 2021 but they will still continue to offer high quality unlimited photos to Pixel owners.

    I was wondering if there's a way to push the settings off of a pixel phone to a jailbroken iPhone so perhaps the google photo app thinks its been uploading from Pixel instead of iPhone therefore bypassing this setting.

    I understand that this might be an extremely complicated and time consuming process but if some genius is willing to devote time and energy, maybe we can pool a fund for the individual or team

    [Tutorial] checkra1n workaround using pongoOS if your device won't jailbreak the normal way (macOS required)

    Hey all,

    If, like me, you've started having issues getting checkra1n to work at all starting with 14.5 (just boots normally instead of showing the checkra1n logo), there is a workaround thanks to Siguza from the checkra1an team: https://github.com/checkra1n/pongoOS/issues/72#issuecomment-833177765

    I've put together a little package of precompiled binaries so you don't have to compile everything from scratch. Note that this will only work on macOS, I don't think the pongoterm utility is written for Linux at this time.

    If you don't trust my binaries, you can compile them yourself by following the second set of instructions below.

    Basically, you'll be running a utility called pongoterm which will send commands to pongoOS once it's booted into that environment. It will then kickstart the checkra1n process instead of checkra1n doing it all by itself.

    Precompiled instructions

    What you will need:

    1. Extract the .zip file and open a terminal in that directory.
    2. Run ./pongoterm <cmd.txt. Your terminal will remain blank - this is normal. MAKE SURE THERE IS NO SPACE AFTER THE "<", otherwise you will clear the text file.
    3. Open a second terminal in the same directory, and either drag your checkra1n binary from inside the .app (/Contents/MacOS/checkra1n) into the terminal, or if it's installed in the Applications folder, just paste this: /Applications/checkra1n.app/Contents/MacOS/checkra1n
    4. At the end of this line, add -k Pongo.bin (with a space before the -k of course)
    5. You should now be able to follow the checkra1n steps normally inside your terminal. Once the device starts booting, pongoterm (in the first terminal you opened) should run a bunch of commands and you should finally see the checkra1n logo on your device.
    6. If this doesn't work successfully the first time, it may take a couple tries as the timing doesn't always work out, but on average it's been very reliable for me.

    Manual compilation instructions

    What you will need:

    • Latest checkra1n
    • Clone the pongoOS repo: git clone https://github.com/checkra1n/pongoOS/
    1. Follow the instructions on the pongoOS repo to compile the binaries (you just need the Xcode command-line utilities installed, and then run make all)
    2. Also compile pongoterm in the /scripts directory (make pongoterm)
    3. Create a directory where you'll copy all your tools into.
    4. Copy /scripts/pongoterm into this folder, as well as /build/checkra1n-kpf-pongo and /build/Pongo.bin
    5. Download the ramdisk linked by Siguza in the GitHub thread linked above. Make sure to un-gzip it (gunzip rdsk.dmg.gz) and place it into the same folder as the other files.

    6. Create a file named cmd.txt with the following contents (make sure there is a blank line after bootx):

      sep auto

      /send checkra1n-kpf-pongo

      modload

      /send rdsk.dmg

      ramdisk

      xargs rootdev=md0

      bootx

    7. Open a terminal in your directory.

    8. Run ./pongoterm <cmd.txt. Your terminal will remain blank - this is normal. MAKE SURE THERE IS NO SPACE AFTER THE "<", otherwise you will clear the text file.

    9. Open a second terminal in the same directory, and either drag your checkra1n binary from inside the .app (/Contents/MacOS/checkra1n) into the terminal, or if it's installed in the Applications folder, just paste this: /Applications/checkra1n.app/Contents/MacOS/checkra1n

    [Question] Semi-new to jailbreaking... Apps constantly reload when switching from one to another, is there a fix/tweak besides rebooting?

    So, I haven't jailbroken my phone in many years, but the other day I did again (iPhone 7/Checkra1n). I read up on some things before I jailbroke obviously, and I know you can't reboot the phone, otherwise you lose the jailbreak and have to do it again.

    My problem is, after about 2 days of being on, my phone pretty much needs to be rebooted or the apps will start to reload almost every single time they're switched to. So after about 2 days of being on, let's say I'm in Safari, then check Instagram quick (which was already previously opened), Instagram will then reload and when I go back to Safari, that will have reloaded, and it's like this for every app. The only solution I've found is rebooting the phone, which obviously makes me lose the jailbreak now so I can't do that. This wouldn't be such an issue if I wouldn't need to rejailbreak from the computer each time.

    So is there any sort of fix/tweak that can address this issue? Things I've already tried after looking into it, that didn't work at all:

    • Closing all the apps then clearing the ram by holding the power button then home (does that even still work? lol)
    • Respringing
    • Turning off background app refresh
    • Using an app someone on here recommend in a similar thread called CPU-x to "Free Ram"
    • LDRestart & UserSpace Reboot in PowerSelector (LDRestart actually killed my iMessage yesterday for some reason and it stopped working until I tried the UserSpace Reboot)

    Any ideas?

    [request] a stand alone settings app just for tweak settings

    basically, it would be just like the normal settings app but with only tweaks

    the reason i think this would be better than using a tweak such as, shuffle, is because 99% of the time i even open the settings app is for tweak settings. 𝘪 𝘧𝘦𝘦𝘭 𝘭𝘪𝘬𝘦 𝘪𝘵 𝘸𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥 𝘴𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘵𝘪𝘮𝘦 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘣𝘢𝘵𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘺 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘰 𝘭𝘰𝘢𝘥 𝘢𝘯𝘺𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘦𝘭𝘴𝘦 𝘣𝘦𝘴𝘪𝘥𝘦𝘴 𝘵𝘸𝘦𝘢𝘬 𝘴𝘦𝘵𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨𝘴. like, i open my settings app to mess with tweaks so often. even when i use shuffle i instinctively start scrolling down right when i open the app. always scroll scroll scroll

    anyway, that idea just came to me when i was opening my settings app, yet again. lol thank you

    edit: i was thinking. back when tweaks were first getting made. putting the preferences in the settings app made sense. but really, a separate app should have been made many years ago to deal with tweak settings considering how much more complex the tweak settings have become. like, all the the little extra things devs add. custom colors. sometimes animations. many links, etc oh. & sometimes even ads

    edit2/ tldr: further clarification:

    the point of my post was that i think apple settings and tweak settings should be separated in different apps. the apple settings are huge and complex, as are the tweak settings. no use loading apple settings when all you need is tweak settings. & 𝗶'𝗺 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝘄𝗲𝗮𝗸 𝘀𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀. if i do that. the apple settings are still loading ready to go. i think you should use apple settings when you need to specifically get to a stock apple setting

    edit3: okay, i'm not putting down anyone's suggestions here. i'm just trying to clarify what my actual request is. that way it's not confused and people think i'm requesting something i'm not. if people don't like the specific idea, that's cool. if something comes out of it. that's awesome. of something simalr comes out of it. that's awesome. but i'm just trying to clarify what my actual request is and how whatever tweak suggestions don't actually fulfill the desired request. that is all. thank you

    im lucky to have discovered a dev that think it's not too bad of an idea. it's the dev of Shuffle & Fabric 2, CreatureSurvive 🙏🙏 . a quick comment image but it's down below

    iPhone XR 14.3 running Taurine.

    While jailbroken I can connect to it and there's a check Mark. But the pop up to the website confirming to their terms and conditions is not popping up so I can't connect to use the internet.

    I'm able to this while unjailbroken. How can I resolve this?

    Hey, I need help. I am trying to jailbreak my iPhone X with checkra1n 0.12.3 but when I have to enter dfu mode I can't for the life of me enter dfu mode. I am doin the stuff prompted on screen and it won't work. I also can't enter dlu mode before trying to jailbreak (I can enter dfu mode by doing the volume up, down, power way) The checkra1n way is not working.

    [Question] UnDim iPad with accelerometer?

    I used to use Dim on my iPad to have it undim/not lock when it detected movement via the accelerometer. Very useful when taking notes, reading, studying, and what not. Haven't found anything since iOS 13. (dim stopped working because of the "error loading the preferences bundle" not loading which I believe is mainly because the Dev hasn't officially updated it for anything past iOS 9 but it did the trick perfectly when it worked)

    Can anyone recommend a similar working app for iOS 14.3?
