My Bluetooth keeps disconnecting from my pairings, defect on MacBook M1? Posted: 17 May 2021 12:51 AM PDT I have had my new MacBook Air M1 for about 2 months, and I love it. But while everything else works perfectly the only problem I have with it is Bluetooth, I am unable to connect to any Bluetooth devices that I have. I use Bluetooth to connect with my Madison radio/Bluetooth speaker and with my Samsung Galaxy S7. I use Bluetooth to send pictures from my Samsung to my mac since I don't have an iPhone for airdrop. I can connect to my speaker after several attempts where it connect and disconnect and it will work, annoying but it works. But I can't send any pictures from my phone yet, it just says that it's unable to send it. I tried everything. Making sure it disconnected from my old mac, made sure everything was paired. I never had these issues with my old 2017 Macbook. I was wondering if anyone else here has this issue? And did you manage to find a solution? submitted by /u/Ullopaa [link] [comments]

I tried restarting my computer and shutting it off and restarting the settings of the volume The only resolution was using airpods or putting earphones in. 2020 MB Air M1 - no audio when connecting to external monitor in clamshell mode Posted: 16 May 2021 05:47 PM PDT EDIT: Title- no audio coming from monitor when connecting to external monitor in clamshell mode ​ Hey, hope this is the best place to post this. ​ I just got a new monitor to use with my 2020 M1 Air - it's the LG 27UK850-W The visual display connectivity works fine but my MB does not detect the monitor as an audio output option. In Sys Pref > Sound > Output the monitor DOES show up on the list but when selected it says "The selected device has no output controls" I am using a high speed HDMI cable that is at least 1.4, and this is the HDMI - USB-C (Thunderbolt 3 compatible) adapter I'm using. Upgrading SSD on older Macbook 2014 model Posted: 16 May 2021 09:02 AM PDT Hi, so my short story: Bought a Macbook 2014 in lowest configuration back in school because i earned money as studio musician, finished school, started gaming, stopped using the mac, entered university, had to use linux as i started studygin CS and now i want to get my Macbook back to get some programming done with it. Since the lowest configuration only had 128GB SSD, i want to upgrade and use a 500ish GB SSD. I know that i can use an M.2 SSD instead of buying this horryfing expensive plug&play SSD's. But now this gap at the bottom appears. Is there a way to make the window fill all the way to the bottom of the screen. Going to fullscreen mode is not an option. After having sticky key issues, I took advantage of Apple's free keyboard replacement program last week. The repair was quick and easy, however I have noticed that the new keyboard is louder, and the keys are a lot more "loose" in the housing. It works fine, but it feels cheap. Is this normal? Does the program replace the "type" of keyboard, or is it just swapping it out with an identical new keyboard. ​ Thanks! So im looking at second hand options and the best ones I found are MBP 2017 i5 8gb ram 256gb ssd 13 inches MBA 2020 I3 8gb ram 256gb ssd 13 inches I know the m1 is mich better but in the second hand market the price difference is too big. Will those laptops suit my needs and which one will be better and why?And are they future proof (around 5 years) because I wont be able to buy another laptop soon. P.s. I have never had macbook(or anything from apple) before so I dont know what to expect. Yesterday I tried my friends m1 pro and I really liked it. Old refurbished vs buying new Posted: 16 May 2021 08:19 AM PDT I am between jobs and my vocation requires a computer. I had been using my work computer but now I don't have that anymore. Right now I'm on a Chromebook I got out from the library but that's obviously not a long term solution. My little brother has been trying to help, bringing over a museum piece of a Powermac we couldn't upgrade past Leopard and shooting me listings for refurbished MacBooks from like 2016. They're only a few hundred bucks in some cases but they're from before Apple did away with screws and they have all these newer parts in them. But that kinda sets off alarm bells for me. These aren't coming from Apple and I worry about what if I have a problem and the Genius Bar tells me to fuck off. It just sounds super sketchy.
