Looking For: Kids Apps that are Suitable for Kids with Autism (More Details In Post)

    Posted: 14 Apr 2021 05:56 AM PDT

Not sure how many suggestions I'll get, but it's worth a shot!

I'm currently working in a special education school, and during group time the kids play games together on an iPad. I'm looking for games that would suit their needs because our rotation of games is getting a little stale, and we don't want group time to become too predictable to encourage them to be less resistant to change.

We're also looking for simpler games such as the ones I'm listing below, so that a wider range of students are able to understand the game and group time is more engaging.

Regular game time: We're looking for games with clear demarcations of a start and end, for turn taking purposes.

For instance, Cooking Mama is a great game because we treat each stage as one turn, and because there is a "home screen" in between steps, it allows our students to clearly understand when their turn ends. Each step is also pretty short, which is great for group time so that they don't have to wait too long. Other great games are kids puzzle games like Ocean Puzzle, because every time a puzzle is completed it signifies the end of their turn, and the puzzles are simple enough that each turn doesn't last too long.

Competition time: We're looking for games with very simple interfaces and rules, like Tap War, or games with very simple demands like Go Go Thomas, where the kids just need to tap a button continuously to make a train go.

    Thank you for your suggestions!

Any games similar to Quiz RPG?

    Posted: 14 Apr 2021 08:21 AM PDT

Hello, there used to be a game I loved back in 2014 called Quiz RPG. Basically an RPG but your attacks were based on different categories and the accuracy of the attacks were based on how fast you answer questions correctly.

It was extremely fun however the game closed up shop a couple years later.

I have not found anything similar to the game ever since and was wondering maybe I haven't searched hard enough. Is there a game (hopefully in RPG-form) that could be similar to this in any way? I know there's trivia games out there (like Trivia Blast, Trivia Royale, etc.) but what made this game fun was battling/questing.

    Thanks in advance!

    PVZ Heroes alternative

    Posted: 14 Apr 2021 07:26 AM PDT

I used to love playing this game! They haven't had any real updates or added content in a long time now so I'm pretty sure it's dead to them as they're working on PVZ 3 I'm sure. Any similar card strategy battle games like this one? I love all the combos and possibilities. The animation between each attack is so good too.

Everything I find just doesn't quite hold to the same standard. A lot of great card battle games out there but they are great in different ways, not quite as a replacement. Anyways thanks!

Need recos for games like idracula and solomon’s boneyard

    Posted: 13 Apr 2021 12:55 PM PDT

Way back 2010 i played 2 survival, perk based, loot type arcade games one is solomon's boneyard a perk based game where you play different witches to survive waves of undead and has an RNG type of loot equipment, you can level and assign perks on an RNG skill tree every level and is developed by a single person, john raptis, and the other was i dracula that isnt on the ios store anymore, it kinda is the same thing as SB but you get different weapons and can only play 1 character, i play these games to chill on my idle time, and i just cant find any ios games as good as them in the present, so im wondering what alternatives can you recommend that is still present in the ios store today? Thanks alot!

Please help me identify this game, I’m going insane

    Posted: 13 Apr 2021 12:53 PM PDT

    Hey everyone. Please help.

    Title?: space runner, maze runner?

What do you do: so the game requires you to move an aircraft by tilting your device. With minimalistic design paired with some upbeat futuristic music, you had to tilt your phone to dodge rough terrain.

How did it look: the aircraft - was basically a triangle. It was very simplistic in terms of graphic. It was so smooth and fun. You really felt as if the spacecraft was moving so fast.

I really enjoyed the game and would appreciate it if someone could identify it. I can draw an image if need be.

    Thanks
