Mine is SNK King of Fighters. I'm looking for more games which aren't heavy on processing power but still plays great on older devices. Paid/Free

    AAA games on iOS.

    Posted: 24 Feb 2021 06:01 AM PST

Why do you guys think iOS doesn't get many AAA titles? Does Apple ask for too much? Nintendo putting a shop on the App Store with classic games makes so much sense to me, I'm just curious why game studios don't take advantage of mobile.

    Backbone One

    Posted: 23 Feb 2021 06:31 PM PST

I just bought a Backbone One controller for my Pro Max after reading a lot of reviews and YouTube videos. Looks very promising, especially since I play my racing games every day (Grid Autosport, Real Racing 3, Asphalt 9, etc.).

Anyone here on Reddit tried the controller yet? If so, what's your personal take on it, especially with the app?

[Dev] Want to test a retro fly fishing game?

[Dev] Want to test a retro fly fishing game?

    Hey iOSGaming,

Does a "Retro Pixel Art Fly Fishing Game" sound interesting? Would you like to help test it out on iPhone?

I am the developer of River Legends: A Fly Fishing Adventure, slated for a release soon on iOS. It's a 2D retro-inspired jaunt through whimsical trout habitat, including forests and canyons. The game was previously released on PC and Android, and the iOS version will feature new maps to explore and a new fish species to catch. You can learn more about the game here: https://www.riverlegendsgame.com/

At this stage in development we are primarily interested in bug and glitch fixes on specific iOS devices while testing over the next 2-3 weeks. Want to help out and maybe catch the River Legend along the way? Apply here (Google Forms):

    https://forms.gle/8m3SpfiHNzU1DgZY7

If selected, you will receive a welcome email and also an invitation to signup through TestFairy. Once completed, you'll receive a link through TestFairy to download and install River Legends.

Let me know if you have questions - happy to answer - and hope to see you catching trophy trout (and other species) soon!

Saw this game trailer for an iOS puzzle game in the Augmented Reality subreddit. After a little bit of fiddling getting into the “AR controls”, I really enjoyed the game. Was something I never experienced before. So I thought I share it here.

Are there any game like Paradise Cove or is it back on the AppStore?

When I was younger there was this game and it was so fun does anyone know what happened to it. Or are there any games similar to it?

Looking for a game similar to Quarrel

    Posted: 23 Feb 2021 12:56 PM PST

Quarrel was a word game which would give you set sections on a game board, and the number of characters on each section gave you a number of letters you could use in an attempt to take over other sections. It was like Scrabble meets Risk.

I loved the strategy of building enough players in certain sections and using them to fight other sections to eventually take over the board.

The game is no longer available on AppStore, so I'm looking for something similar.

Maybe something like Civilisation, where all players are looking to dominate the playing field, but obviously games don't last as long as Civ (think you could go through a round in around 15 minutes)

Hope this helps describe the kind of game I'm looking for.

    Thank you
