I made an iOS app to track your music statistics!

    Posted: 09 Aug 2020 12:29 PM PDT

    Hey r/iPhone!

I'm Aryan Nambiar, an iOS developer, and I've just released my first iOS app called TuneTrack. TuneTrack is an iOS application that enables you to view your top artists and tracks on some of the most popular music platforms like Apple Music, Spotify, and Last.fm. You can download it from the App Store here. Without further ado, here's the release post!

What if you could view your music statistics anywhere, at any time? Introducing TuneTrack, the first application that enables you to do so for multiple music services.

Gone are the days where you need to impatiently wait until the end of the year to see which artists and songs you listened to the most. With TuneTrack, you can get that data on-demand at any time with the click of a button! TuneTrack gives you access to statistics like top tracks and top artists with numerous ways to filter, such as time period and release date, with support for some of the most popular music platforms like Apple Music, Spotify, and Last.fm. TuneTrack comes with a multitude of additional features, including, but not limited to:

    • Advanced filtering: Spotify and Last.fm statistics come with filters such as time period and artists/tracks/albums, so you can get precise data for any media at any time period! Apple Music statistics have even more precise filtering, with filters such as Date Added to Library, Last Played, and more.

    • One-tap playlists: With the press of a button, you can create a playlist of your top tracks and share it with friends.

    • Sharing data: Want to share your top tracks or artists, but you don't want to create a playlist? Fear not, as TuneTrack has a share button that lets you export your top artists, tracks, or albums in text format!

    • Customization: TuneTrack comes built-in with configurable themes and app icons, so you can truly personalize the app to your fitting.

    • TuneTrack Premium: TuneTrack also comes with a premium feature, which gives you access to added benefits such as Top 100 instead of Top 50 for Spotify, extra themes/icons for the app, and much more!

What are you waiting for? Download TuneTrack today and learn more about your music habits than you ever have before!

If you have any suggestions or comments, feel free to leave them below, and I'll do my best to respond to all of them. Thanks for using TuneTrack!

    Posted: 10 Aug 2020 09:46 AM PDT

I was wondering if theres any app for iPhone that shows combined events from Calendar and reminders from Reminder app in single place; also prompts if adding event/reminder which overlaps existing event/reminder

True Tone automatically turns off when in photos (feature?)

    Posted: 09 Aug 2020 06:30 PM PDT

I just discovered that True Tone automatically turns off when you go into the photos app, maybe for better accuracy when viewing photos. I absolutely love Apple's attention to detail here. Thought it's worth to share it with you guys.

Edit: thanks to u/theScyphozoa, they discovered that True Tone still plays a role in photos. It is not automatically turned off, but only turned downed a little bit for better colour accuracy while not being too hard on the eyeballs. (You know the feeling when you turn off True Tone and your eyeball hurts)

Article from 2002 about the iPhone

Is there a way I can really clearly see maybe in order of size etc., what’s taking up all my space, maybe a computer program...?

    Posted: 10 Aug 2020 08:47 AM PDT

I know there is storage, and that's given me a decent insite but I'd like to be able to see like a lot more of whats taking up space and ideally options to filter by size etc.

Turn of Red Light Camera alerts

    Posted: 10 Aug 2020 09:28 AM PDT

Over the past ~month, whenever I'm driving my iPhone mutes my music and alerts me of a red light camera (even though I do not have any map apps open). Is there a way to turn this off? It's very frustrating.

    Looking for Headphones for Calls

    Posted: 10 Aug 2020 09:20 AM PDT

I'm looking for a new set of headphones for calls. I've been searching and can't seem to find ones that have what I'm looking for so I'm turning to the wisdom of the internet for help. I'd like bluetooth, the mic to not pickup ambient sounds too much, over ear both ears and to be budget friendly- I'd be happy with around $100.

I tried using the included earpods, and no headphones and they pick up ambient talking from across the house in our open floor plan. I have set of iTechnic ANC, but they amplify room sounds to the caller. I'm looking for something to handle conference calls when my kids are making noise. The plantronics focus seems like a good option, but at over $175 seems a bit rich for me. Thanks for any help and suggestions.

Is there a way to undisplay time on the up-left corner of my phone?

    Posted: 10 Aug 2020 09:26 AM PDT

I'm trying to resist checking what time it is all the time. Is there a way to make it disappear or change it to a clock icon like what I can do on Mac?
