    Last night, when logging into my bank account I got a message that looked like this which was quite scary. This password for my bank is used only on my bank account (the screenshot above is another one of my accounts that has been breached.) I thought this was odd how something as secure as a bank password could be breached as I hadn't fell for any phishing attacks or anything, so I decided to look into how breach detection works in more detail.

    Breach detection searches for your password in data breached (obviously) but if it detects it in a breach, it isn't necessarily linked back to you. For example: Say my bank Password is Lightbulb123. The breach detection feature scours all data breaches for that password.

    So, say another person over in Australia had a gmail account that was breached that also had that password, I'd get the message saying that the password was found in a data breach, even though my account wasn't necessarily at risk from this breach as the breach wasn't linked to me.

    Hope people find this interesting and this makes sense! Any questions let me know and I'll look into it more.

    I just noticed in the release notes, it says under widgets known issues:

    You can't resize an existing widget. (63500799)

    Workaround: Remove the widget and re-add it at the desired size.

    This is great to see as I was under the impression that they didn't intend to add a resizing option to the widgets. Hope we'll see this working in an update soon!
