    I want to order the new macbook air, and which one should i choose? I only use it for web browsing and maybe very rarely edit some photos and videos. The price difference is pretty pricy in my country, so thats why i am considering ordering the base model since i just using to browsing What do you think?

    As per title. My MBA is still running on Mojave as I heard Catalina caused major battery problems for some. I also use chrome for my browser instead of safari. Switched over to safari for a bit because I heard it's better for battery life but it's was so buggy with youtube & netflix (why?). Also maybe worth noting: I'm on my laptop majority of the day but I keep it plugged into the charger almost the whole time. I also have power nap off already. Is there any way to solve this battery drain problem?

    Is the 2020 MBA heating issue a deal breaker?

    I was just about to hit buy when I started reading and watching reviews online. Many touch on the heating issue, which is a deal breaker for me IF it's as obnoxious as some are making it sound. I don't use many intensive programs, but I do tend to have a million tabs open and stream videos.

    Now I'm thinking I might as well wait for the 2020 MBP 13-inch, though this will cost me an extra few hundred bucks for decent storage space. This was my first Macbook in college and I never had any problems.

    How loud does the 16 inch model get?

    I'm looking to get the 16 inch model for programming. I was wondering how loud the fans get since I heard there is a problem with overheating on the 9th generation chips. I understand that if you do a lot of editing the fans will be loud, but the only things I plan on doing is programming and browsing/netflix, I just don't want to have to worry about disturbing classmates/coworkers. The specs I'm looking at is i7/32gb/1tb/AMD 5300m.

    Which Macbook should I upgrade to?

    Hi everyone,

    So I have a 2012 MacBook Air that has been really really good to me despite being from 2012. I'm finally thinking about upgrading but can't seem to figure out which MacBook to choose, especially because my 2012 MacBook showed me that I don't really need a lot of "power".

    My MacBook use is as follows:

    The only Desktop applications I use are Logic Pro X for music creation.

    Lightroom for basic to medium photography editing (but I'm quickly moving to edit photos exclusively In my iPhone 11 due to how convenient it is).

    And Premiere for also basic to medium video editing (no 4k video, one-hour videos, etc).

    the rest of my use, for the most part, is based on Web Applications.

    As you can see, I don't need a lot of power but some extra would be well received. Although I understand that buying one of the $1000 MacBook might be a good investment as I won't have to upgrade any time soon, I also think $1000 is just too much money (especially right now).

    It also has to be a MacBook (or it can also be a Mac or Mac mini) because I use the Apple ecosystem on a daily basis with other users.

    My MacBook Pro 16'' restarts when I close it

    I find for no discernible reason that when I close my MacBook Pro sometimes, even when I'm not using a program on it, when I open it up the system is restarting. When it logs in the system says "Your computer had to restart, Ignore/Report."

    What the fuck causes this in a $3,000 machine?

    Keep MacBook Air or return and wait till back to school sale?

    So I recently got a 2020 MacBook Air base model. With my school semester finalizing in about a week, I'm curious about when apple usually has their back to school sale?

    If it's close to late June/early July, do you recommend returning it and wait until then to get the free headphones/gift card they usually offer?

    Other than to do my school work, I wouldn't really use it much until August when the school year kicks back up, and I have my iPad Pro 11in to consume media etc.

    Historically does Apple do their sale around that time? Normally I'd keep it because it's been an amazing laptop and my first MacBook ever, but the sound of some free headphones does sound nice as I've been keeping an eye on the beats solo pro.

    I'd appreciate your input!

    13" MBP mid-2010: would dosdude's Mojave/Catalina patcher work with the NVIDIA GeForce 320M 256mb/4gb RAM/Core 2 Duo? Tried Mojave a while ago but it was basically unusable ( lots of black "artefacts" when using apps, esp. Safari. ) Would upgrading to 8/16GB RAM help?

    Trouble with my spacebar

    So i spilled some coffee on my keyboard yesterday and had pop off some keys to clean it. Luckily there was no damage but when reapplying the spacebar it's always pressed down. Anything I can do to get it to pop back to normal?

    Recommendations for Necessary Macbook Pro 16 Accessories (Mainly Screen Protector)

    Hello everyone. New here. I recently purchased a macbook pro 16 inch' (upgrading from the duel macbook air model from about 8 years ago or so) as a work machine for music production and other content creation. Really excited about having a system that can actually handle demanding tasks. That being said, I already know I need to shell out extra dough for one those meaty USBC 3 hubs and a case. But I'd love some input on the reliability of brands you like and necessity of the accessory to begin with.

    1. Do people still install screen protectors on their macbooks? I've almost always done this in the past with my computers (and iphones) to try to prevent damage, but installing them is dreadful and usually leaves bubbles and bluriness (which could be a nuisance when video editing) If so, what brands have you guys had success with?
    2. Any recommendations for cases for this model that won't contribute to heating it up too bad? (I'm aware the fans do a pretty damn good job this time around but I'm always fearful)
    3. I know I need a hub since the ports are gone with this one and I definitely need something reliable (and preferably one that won't take ages to read an SD Card) I've heard good things about this brand.     4. I strongly prefer using a mouse when trying to get real work done. I've checked out the apple mouse but something about it is a little off... Many people have told me they prefer the bigger external track pad but at that point wouldn't it be easier to just use the decently sized track pad on the system? Would love some perspective from anyone that does music production or video editing. (but anyone else is welcome to share their experiences as well!)

    Thanks a ton in advanced for help. I know it's easy to read up reviews on just about anything these days on the internet but I really do prefer personal accounts from others before making purchases. I'm also not incredibly tech savvy so forgive me if some of the language I use doesn't make perfect sense.
