Posted: 05 May 2020 02:52 PM PDT As the title mentions, every time I would try and save a reminder it would give me the error "Sorry, there was a problem." I learned this is because iPhones store all completed reminders from all-time. This means you could potentially have thousands of reminders clogging the system. After I fixed this my reminders started working normally again. Just to note, it might take a bit for the reminders app on your phone to actually catch up with iCloud.com. I had to update my reminders app to get it going but now I can easily set reminders again. Hope this helps. EDIT: u/Kahroo12012 in the comments shared this link below in case the solution I wrote up doesn't work. It's a shortcut to clear your completed reminders. Tim Cook replied to my e-mail about how Live Photos helped me with my mom's passing. Posted: 05 May 2020 08:12 AM PDT I don't believe that Apple is the best company in the world, but Tim Cook actually replying to my e-mail was a big thing. - Don't get me wrong, I'm using multiple apple products while I'm writing this, but I'm not a fanboy. My mom died from cancer in 2017. It was a horrible experience, but an apple feature gave me and my dad a great memory of her. (The conversation took place in 2017 by the way... I've been waiting until now to post it because I didn't want to capitalise on the death of my mother.) Here's the very brief exchange;
I received the following reply:
It's little things like that that makes me love the guy. I told my dad about it, and he loved it (after I had explained to him who Tim Cook was). But, seriously, someone took what they thought was a cute photo of my parents and it turned out to be the last picture of them together - and it also turned out to be a moving picture with audio, of which the person taking the picture had no idea. If the person taking a photo had known, she would have told the people she was taking a picture of and the moment wouldn't have been preserved the way it was. Even though it might come down to user error, I am eternally grateful to apple for having the feature set as default. [link] [comments] | ||
