    Can someone clear up my confusion on background app refresh?

    feel free to be as technical as possible.

    i don't really understand it. turning off background app refresh still seems to allow apps to refresh in the background?

    for example: I have background app refresh turned off for Lyft, yet I'm still getting notifications from the app (i woke up this morning and there was a badge notification on the app icon).

    Since I have background app refresh disabled for this app, why does it still send me notifications when I'm not using the app? I may not fully understand what disabling background app refresh does.

    I was using an ios ninja Youtube app but apparently Apple put an end to that. Was wondering if there was anything else i can use to get ad free Youtube ?

    Apple Mail Notifications

    Whenever I swipe away notifications from Apple Mail, they pop up in a different place in the Notification Center.

    Does anyone know if this is a bug or how to fix it?

    Hi!

    used „invert colors - intelligent" once. Now the lockscreen wallpaper ist „intelligently inverted" whenever I unlock my phone. Although the feature is deactivated in settings.

    iPhone X, 13.3.1

    Anybody else? Gonna report to Apple.

    Strange how iOS is so stringent on making sure all apps have some sort of "dark mode" yet LinkedIn still doesn't have something like it.

    Looking for a video app like Apple's Clips but record full screen instead of square. Or something that works like the new RTRO app by Moments but with the ability to not apply any filters. Thanks!

    Anyone have recommendations for a spectacular free weather app? Wunderground used to be my go-to and absolute favorite, but I uninstalled it after the terrible update in 11/2019. Currently using Windy, but it is not as good as WU used to be. Needs to have a widget.

    Menu Lag

    Whenever I open a menu in iOS- For example, when I take a screenshot and select that "share" button, the box with an arrow coming out of it, my device lags significantly before the menu shows up. What could be causing this?

    Finally updated my iOS to the most recent update, from probably iOS 10 or older. Now it's stuck in the white apple screen.

    Is this normal for an update? Or have I somehow broken my phone just by updating it? How do I get it out of this white apple screen? It keeps restarting, and I'm starting to get worried because it's been a while.

    Debating iPhone Swap From Android

    I'm debating swapping back to an iPhone after 10 years on Android. The main question I have (because I see multiple answers) is can you mirror your screen to chrome cast from the Google Home app? I read online on one spot you can, just didn't know if anyone knew for sure.

    More app should support emergency bypass like this

    Safari crashing in iPadOS.

    I too frequently have my iPad crash when browsing. It tries reloading the web page and fails repeatedly. Once this begins happening other Browser apps start to crash as well. I have Chrome and Firefox.

    My iPad is less than two years old and this didn't happen until I loaded iPadOS.

    It's a pain the ass. Restarting seems to help, but only for a short while.
