- I am on a work trip and brought my Apple TV. The internet where I am staying is not working. I was going to hotspot my phone. Appletv is not picking up my phone hotspot. I have turned off both phone and appletv. Any help would be greatly appreciated
- Quickly enable/disable display accommodations and light sensitivity?
- Can I control two side by side Apple TVs each one with their own control?
- Multiple users is a nice touch, but Photos?
- Best Game Controller for Apple TV 4th Generation?
- Bought uncut gems, won’t play on Apple TV app via TCL Roku

| App Idea: YouTube Subscriptions-only Posted: 27 Feb 2020 02:10 AM PST I just wanted to see if there's any interest for this app idea I want to work on. Not sure if its feasible as Google might not allow it. I'm planning on developing a tvOS YouTube app which only displays the subscriptions feed. No recommender system, no other feeds - just open the app, watch your subscriptions and then jump back to the menu. The idea behind it is to help people stop themselves losing hours in YouTube's recommendation system. Who would download such an app? [link] [comments]  | ||
| Poor video streaming quality on Wifi Posted: 26 Feb 2020 10:37 PM PST Just got a new ATV 4K, to replace an Nvidia Shield that broke. When using WiFi my streams in apps like Youtube DR (Danish streaming service) and my IP TV are terrible. Like 480p terrible. If I hook it up to ethernet everything is fine. A couple of quirks: When playing on wifi from the Plex app, where I've specifically set remote streaming to maximum bandwidth, I get perfect picture. Changing over to youtube, and I get the before mentioned sd picture. I downloaded Speedtest, and ran it on WiFi and Ethernet - both giving me 50/50 Mb connection speed. [link] [comments]  | ||
| Posted: 26 Feb 2020 09:38 PM PST Periodically my ATV4K will switch profiles all on its own. For example last night I was watching on my profile and today when I turned on the TV the profile was switched to my son's profile. No one watched TV in between. This has occurred a few times are irregular intervals. No power loss or reboots as far as I'm aware. When I have rebooted on purpose or after an update its always gone back to the last profile used. Also, the other night all of the profiles were missing from the unit. I rebooted and they were still not displaying. About 10-15 minutes later the profiles appeared again. Posted: 26 Feb 2020 05:14 PM PST Short version: Can I use two ATVs side by side and each one respond to their own remote control? Long Version: So I have a 1080p projector and a 4k tv in same room. I use a hdmi audio extractor to get optical out from the Atv4k, but it will not pass through 4k Dolby Vision. So my idea is to use a ATV4k for the TV and an ATV3 for the projector. I have an older processor without hdmi inputs so I need hdmi to pick up 5.1 Dolby Digital. Upgrading the processor (Pre Amp) is out of the question since it would have to be the MX160 and it cost $9k and that's just insane. So can I use two ATVs side by side and each one respond to their own remote control? Thank you!!! [link] [comments]  | ||

I have tried uninstalling the app, turnin off tv, reinstalling app. Says it has to be played on an Apple device regardless? Is says to watch on an Apple device or through iTunes. So I'm really going to have to spend $160 on an Apple TV to watch this movie? Posted: 26 Feb 2020 11:13 AM PST With more leaks and rumors surrounding a refreshed Apple TV, I am pumped to see what kind of capabilities it will have. It could very likely just be a chip upgrade and better storage options. But even the APTV 4K's animations and overall responsiveness is under par as it stands, so a new model with a more recent chipset will be very welcome. I'm speculating, but with the release of Apple Arcade, I imagine there might be a redesign with the APTV for better cooling, too. And who can't wish for a remote redesign?? I envision this is going to be a big year for Apple; I am quite stoked. [link] [comments]  |
