    Phone Stuck on Restart Screen

    I'm not sure what happened to it, but this morning I woke up and discovered my iPhone SE wasn't much functioning at all. All my apps kept crashing seconds after I opened them, then that evolved into my phone continuously crashing if I opened it. This evening it's just stuck on the white screen with the black apple logo suggesting a reboot, but it's been on this screen for the past hour.

    I've tried connecting it to my laptop but it's not allowing me to access my files nor is it even showing up on iTunes. I want to try and save my pictures but if that's not possible I don't mind straight-up factory resetting this thing. I've only had it two years by now though, so it's not that it's old...

    One thing I think may be contributing is the fact that I used up most of my storage. I think I had 31.8/32.0 GBs filled up, but being as it's been that full for weeks, if not months. I'm just not sure why it's only acting up now.

    I'll get back to anyone as soon as I can but being as I don't have notifications on my laptop it may be hard. I'll try to check up as much as possible. If you need any more information please feel free to ask and I'll try out any suggestions!

    Ghost music. Iphone xs max randomly starts music on its own. Airpods are playing music in background with no music apps open. Whats going on?

    I had (and wanted) to make a new iCloud account.

    Now the number seems associated with both accounts and i do not see how i can remove it from the first, old icloud account. On the icloud settings accessed in browser it lists it as a trusted number and there's no way to get rid of it. I don't want that account texting me confirmations and such.

    I did this tonight. Might it just take a day or so to sync?

    iPhone 11 stolen/not delivered. Apple not taking any action?

    So I ordered an iPhone 11 pro max 5 days ago. Apple calls me to confirm my order and that it's not a fake order ect. The guy on the phone also confirms that it will require a signature which is preferred since I live in Seattle and packages get swiped all the time. For some reason they shipped an almost $1400 phone with no signature required and whaddya know? It got swiped or the FedEx guy nabbed it while I was at work.

    I called and they assured me they would get back to me soon and most likely issue a refund or replacement. I just received the follow e-mail:

    " We have received an update regarding your inquiry. Our carrier has completed the requested investigation, and no further action will be taken by Apple.

    If you have any questions, please contact us at 1-800-MY-APPLE."
    I'm going to call first thing tomorrow but what should I do here? It's insane to me that they would ship this with no signature after confirming the order and that it would be signature required. Why would you leave a package worth almost $1500 on the front steps in the middle of a city???

    How does Library Sync work in Apple Music?

    Hello everyone.

    Throughout many years I collected a vast library of songs imported into itunes from CDs or purchased from the iTunes store itself.

    I recently got an iPhone and I'm trying Apple Music as my first music streaming service and while browing I noticed there's an ADD function by the side of each release. It says this adds the album to my library, but I'm not sure what it means precisely, as it also asks me to enable the syncing of said library among devices.

    The documentation says this allows to play all the tracks in my OSX library from Apple Music itself, but what about tracks in my library which didn't come from itunes? For example CD dumps or tracks I created myself and then imported into itunes?

    I'm just a bit confused on how this works. Thank you for taking the time to help me understanding.

    New Macbook Weird Trackpad Issue

    I got this Macbook a little more than 2 weeks ago and I think it may have a defective trackpad. After not using the touchpad for a couple of minutes as soon as I go to use it the first click has a high pitched sound and it feels as if I am hitting something under the trackpad. After the first click it feels fine and as normal but once I leave it again for a couple minutes the first click is weird again. Overall I think all the clicks are high pitched and I cant tell if it is a normal sound.

    It is a macbook pro 2019 13' 256gb base model.

    Something weird happened and the phone/PC I was using deleted a vital folder that is normally set to be un-deleteable.

    The folders I see are 100APPLE, 101APPLE, and 103APPLE, from Windows 10 PC. All these folders were there by default (Started with 100APPLE, I assume, and as the photo collection grew larger, the other folders were automatically added). One thing to note about those folders, though, is that they all have the following time of creation: 12/31/1969@7:00pm. iPhone 6S btw.

    (Notice how there is no 102APPLE)

    Somehow, when transferring 102APPLE's contents to PC it'd get stuck. So only a fraction of files (mostly Live Photos, btw) would get transferred. Eventually, on the last transfer, the rest went through! then I noticed… 102Apple was gone.. I was expecting an empty 102Apple to be there… nope, gone!

    The thing about this, is, I don't seem to have much freedom. (This is how it was at the beginning too, mind you, but I might as well state the limitations anyway.). I:

    -can't right click —> add new folder

    OR

    -can't paste a folder there

    nor can I:

    -set a folder creation date to 12/31/1969 @7pm like the other ones

    In other words, I can't create the 102 folder exactly how it was, and even if I could, there's seemingly no way to put it there. Keep in mind the PC I'm using has no Wi-Fi access (cannot use hotspot either).

    do I:

    -paste all the files that were originally in the 102 folder into 103 instead?

    -paste them into the DCIM folder containing 100, 101, 103?

    If not, what else can I do? Am I screwed?

    One of my contacts will not allow me to send iMessages to it

    I have a friend that I whenever I text them it will only send as an SMS instead of being in iMessage. On my phone the texts are the green and white, but on her phone it is blue and white. I have tried deleting their contact and messages. I have done a number of different trouble shooting techniques. Has anybody else had this problem and/or have a possible solution.

    Both phones are up to date with iOS

    Both have iMessage activated.

    We both receive and send iMessages from and to friends but not to each other.

    We both rebooted our devices numerous times, turned iMessage off and on again. Signed out and signed back in from our apple IDs a couple of times.

    We both have access to Wifi and network data.

    MacBook Air charging port concern (Burnt/dirty pins)

    Hello reddit! So a few months ago I started to have some issues with my old magsafe charger, the power cord began to break and therefore the charger started to have some connectivity issues and also it got extremely hot. As I live in a country (Peru) with no Apple Stores I decided to use the charger anyways as I didn't want to buy one from the official Apple reseller, which is two o three times more expensive than the Apple Store in the US, also I had not planned a trip to the US till July 2020, and finally didn't want to risk my MacBook Air logic-board using a fake Magsafe charger. However, about month and a half ago it definitely died, and spent almost 140 US dollars on a new charger (from the official Apple reseller, iShop) because I use my Mac everyday for college and work. Since then, I have not had any problems with the charger as it didn't get hot, the connection is works great and the MacBook runs perfect.

    However a few days ago I realized that the charging port was extremely dirty/burnt. I read that it could be that the port is dirty, so I cleaned it with a dry toothbrush and most of what seems to be dirty was gone, but it apparently, 2 of the 5 pins are burned, as you can see on the link ( https://imgur.com/gallery/WdbWU0m )

    So in conclusion I really want to know if this is a mayor issue than it looks like and I should worry about (till now the macbook works perfectly fine). I am planning taking it to costumer support in the Apple Store in the US, as my parents are traveling to the US next month and the costumer support in the official reseller in Peru is ineffective and expensive.

    How to transfer epub files to iBooks in mass using iTunes?

    I know that I can open the file in an email or some other cloud storage and use the "Open In" option and select iBooks. BUt i have a lot of books to transfer.

    How do I do this in iBooks? Drag and drop doesnt seem to work

    Find My - Switch shared location device between iPhone and Macbook Pro

    iPhone 7 Plus (ios 13.3) & MBP 2017 ( macOS Catalina 10.15.2)

    Just wondering if this function exists. Currently, my "Find My" app displays my location based on my iPhone's, but I was wondering if I could switch it to my MBP's. Is there some option to switch the display location on "Find My" between these two Apple products?

    Let me know if I need to provide anymore info or clarify stuff! Thanks in advance!

    I found my old mac mini from 2006 in the basement, started it up, backed it up, but some of the backup files are just directories that won't go anywhere because 'the original could not be found'. What to do?

    I recently got an old imac (late 2013). I'm running ableton and a few midi programs and it's struggling a bit so i'm planning on doubling the ram. I have been told by the guy I bought it off not to upgrade the ios to catalina for some reason and wondering if anyone can confirm this?

    iPhone XS Smart Charging case not working.

    I'm running an iPhone XS smart case on an iPhone X. Other people say this works perfectly for them. For me, I have to sometimes push the case in it feels like to get a connection. Is there any fix to this?

    purple line across my screen on macbook air? woke up to this. (dead because i’m too lazy to get up and charge). obviously in some instances it’s not visible however if I focus on it, it gets bothersome. I have no idea what could’ve caused this. any ideas?

    Hi. Mid-2015 MacBook Pro here.

    • On bootup, system restarts during progress bar load. Haven't been able to get past this.

    • Reinstalled OS [Mojave] from safe mode; same problem above persists

    • Ran Disk Utility from Safe Mode. Mounted Macintosh HD. Ran disk repair; failed (Exit code 8)

    I have a time machine backup that's a few months old, but have some newer files on this hard drive that I want to preserve. That's the only thing preventing me from doing a full restore.

    When I try to enter the MacintoshHD from command line, I don't seem to be getting there, even though I mounted the disk.

    So the tldr: How can I access my MacintoshHD from terminal in safe mode, so I can pull files onto my external drive?

    I just downloaded some game apps on my Apple TV just to check them out. Then I open my phone and see all the apps installed on my phone, why?

    I can delete them but is there a setting to disallow this?

    I can't check my order status and I'm worried my order never got placed

    So about 3 weeks ago i had placed an order for some airpods on the online store. Now, three weeks later i went to check the order status and all it said was "something went wrong. There was a problem with your request. Please try again". Later on, i tried inputting my order number and it said it wasn't found in their archives. Does anyone know what's happening?

    Butterfly keyboard and finger fatigue, is it just me?

    I just spent the day on a 2012 MBP and WOW, I miss that keyboard and trackpad.

    Does anyone else get sore fingers from the butterfly keyboards? I am a gentle typer but I still get sore from typing for a single hour on those flat keys.....

    Most the pain exists in my right pointer where I click the trackpad, it's crazy how much better the old trackpad/keys, now the 16" is out the keys are better supposedly, but the trackpad would still hurt my finger after a while.
