    Hey again r/apple! I've posted here before about Femto, my text editor for iOS, but this time is a little different.

    Until January 24th, I'm donating 80% of all proceeds to the Australian Red Cross to aid with the bushfires. This includes tips from existing users, as well as new purchases.

    I have a spreadsheet keeping track of the proceeds over the next 2 weeks, and at the end I'll donate the total. I'm updating a Twitter thread once a day with the totals, and you can check that here.

    Feel free to ask any questions about the donations, the app, or anything else!

    Hey Reddit,

    Edwin here, I created Paycheck Calculator (US) because I was constantly asking myself 🤔the following questions:

    💵How would my paycheck look like if...

    - I accepted a job with a yearly salary of X?

    - I received a raise of X dollars per hour?

    - I moved to X city?

    - I worked X hours of overtime this week?

    - I increased my 401k contribution by X percentage?

    And I wanted something simple that I could quickly pull up on my phone, had my previous calculation saved, and computed the deductions as soon as I changed a single number. I just released the iOS version a few months ago. 📱

    At the moment all the calculations are based on US tax brackets.

    Right now it's only 10.15+, but hoping to expand to 10.14 as soon as some Notification API issues are sorted out.

    Thoughts on a feature that allows direct reply to specific messages in iMessage group chats?

    Similar to Messenger's or Skype's. I find it gets very clustered and repetitive in my group chats for work and friends. I wonder why this isn't an option yet- as it could pair well with 3D Touch/haptic.

    [Self Promotion Saturday's] I made a math game to practice mental math skills

    The purpose of the game is to sort the equations on the board in descending order and see how many points you can accumulate in the 3 minute time frame. It's simple math so probably suited for a younger audience none the less thought I'd share; cheers.

    I watched through some old pictures of my grandpa, who unfortunately isn't here anymore...

    And I never realized that some Live Photos recorded his voice! Hearing his voice again in some of the pictures was kinda beautiful and sad and... just nice

    I don't know just wanted to share ☺️ loved him to death :)

    Exporting edited photos as HEIC ?

    HI,

    I shoot phtos on my iPhone 8, iOS13, I just edited some f them, and want to transfer them on my Mac. I can export originals (from photos.app on Mac) as HEIC. However, exporting or airdropping edited photos give me a JPEG file. Is it possible to get a HEIC file instead ?
