| Posted: 23 Nov 2019 04:21 PM PST I know that this is a huge problem with iPhones that everyone who wants to change their ringtone experiences, but I can't find a tutorial on how to do it anywhere, and I've been searching for an hour! I would like to do it for free but everything requires garage band (which isn't)! | Posted: 23 Nov 2019 08:34 AM PST My sister has been having some issues with her ~2 year old iPhone 7 recently. This summer she ran out of storage space, and the phone started to freeze randomly. Additionally, her recent photos were disappearing but quickly reappeared after a short while. After she deleted some things to free up storage space the problem was fixed- or so we thought. Recently she hit full storage again. Yesterday she tried to unlock her phone, and the screen stayed off but the phone was clearly on. After a short while the screen turned on again. This happened multiple times over the course of a few hours. At one point, her phone restarted itself and displayed the message "iPhone is disabled for 1 minute". Note that at no point did she enter an incorrect passcode, or any passcode at all. After 1 minute she was able to unlock it normally. After unlocking her phone started freezing again. Her app icons kept disappearing, and she tried to delete apps but they didn't delete. Some of her apps started to crash when she tried to open them. Upon checking her photos, all of them were gone -including all the albums outside of Camera Roll and Mediashare. After a few minutes, a "Restoring" message appeared and the photos began to reappear again, up to a certain point (about Feb this year) before stopping. After a few hours her phone restarted itself again and displayed "iPhone is disabled for 1 hour". Once again no incorrect passcode attempt was made. After waiting the hour and unlocking the phone, the same issues occurred (apps glitching, photos gone etc.). She did not use the phone much after this, although was able to make a phone call. Later the same day her phone restarted once again and displayed the message "iPhone is disabled, Connect to iTunes". Unfortunately my sister has not backed up her phone in a long time, and she's understandably worried about losing all her data. So does this sound like a storage drive issue? Could it be possible to salvage any data off the phone? Since no passcode attempts were made it's pretty confusing as to why the phone is disabled, and why we're hoping it may not have to be wiped. | Text alerts and Facebook messenger notifications not working Posted: 23 Nov 2019 02:29 PM PST I have an iPhone 6s and I don't know if this is because of iOS 13, as I was not having these issues before, but I'm no longer receiving sound alerts when I get a text or Facebook messenger notifications on my lock screen, etc. I checked several things - ringer not on silent, volume is up, notifications for these particular items on in Settings (and on Facebook Messenger app), Do Not Disturb is turned off, etc. Like I said, I don't know if it is because of iOS 13 or what. So, the problem here is, why does my ringer volume automatically slows down by itself? while i turned off the 'change with buttons' feauture and I also disabled the 'Attention-Aware Feautures' in settings. | Apps not being allowed camera access Posted: 23 Nov 2019 04:29 AM PST UPDATE: I had to take it to the Apple store and they fixed my phone while we went to a movie. ALL my apps (Snapchat, insta, Reddit, TikTok, etc...) wont let me take photos. It says I have to enable access to photos and photo library. When I click enable, it send me to my settings app and it shows nothing to do with photo access, just my location and stuff like that. I'm fine with not being able to post stuff on SC but it won't let me use the app unless it's enabled. [link] [comments]  |
| Old Notifs Reappearing on Lock Screen Posted: 23 Nov 2019 12:40 AM PST Question! Is it a new feature to the latest ios that if allows old, unopened notifications to reappear on your lock screen, prior to already unlocking the phone before? Hopefully this makes sense. But for example, if i get a text from a friend while I am away from my phone, and then come back to my phone and open up a different notification/unlock my iphone WITHOUT clicking the text notification.. Never open the text I received and then lock my phone.. I have noticed that the previous text notif would REAPPEAR and say on my lock screen again that i have received a text from said friend (so many) minutes ago. I think maybe the same for some Snap notifications? Noticed recently, and was curious because I remember in order to find old notifs you would have to open the notification center once the phone had been unlocked. [link] [comments]  |
| Iphone SE Stuck on apple logo after update Posted: 23 Nov 2019 03:50 AM PST I just updated my iphone SE as i needed to to download certain apps. I left the phone connected overnight as it said it would update between 2 and 5 am if connected to power. I left it like this and when i woke up the phone was on the startup apple logo. It has been stuck on this all day. When not plugged in it gives the out of battery symbol no matter how long. It stays on the apple logo and then black screens for a second, then goes on the logo again. My macbook pro (2015, recently updated OS) does not recognize it is plugged in, although it appears to be charging. Before, it went to a screen of horizontal lines after the apple logo, which looked like a corrupted program screen or something similar. Hard reset by holding home and lock button does not do anything. What can i do to fix this problem? [link] [comments]  |
