| App Store Forces Me to Log in Every Day Posted: 21 Nov 2019 05:25 AM PST Since the last OS update the app store requires me to log in daily. All the apps and functions till work fine but when i go to the app store to see if any apps need updating I'm asked to sign in. I'll sign in and the next day it starts all over again. | Apple TV Remote Stopped Changing Volume Posted: 21 Nov 2019 08:44 AM PST In the last couple of days, my Apple TV 4 Remote has stopped being able to change my TV's volume. I have no idea what the problem is. I've tried all of the different settings under Remotes and Devices, and nothing seems to work. When I press the volume buttons on the remote the little light on my Apple TV does flash, so I assume it's not an actual problem with the remote/Apple TV connection. I tried unplugging everything involved and nothing changed. If I go to configure a new device (using the same remote), it does let me go through the configuration process, but then when it's done it still doesn't work. Anyone have any advice or tips? I feel like it stopped working when my Apple TV got the latest update, but I'm not exactly sure. [link] [comments]  | ||
| Steam link setup on Apple TV 4k Posted: 21 Nov 2019 12:23 PM PST I am having issues with steam link on my apple tv and I'm hoping that someone can help me out. I have an xbox one bluetooth controller paired with my ATV and it works fine to navigate the menus, and I have Steam Link app installed and set up. The issue crops up when I start Big Picture mode in the app and it starts streaming BPM from my PC. The Controller will not do anything after that. I can navigate with the ATV remote though. Dorian Yates has cited the conspiracist David Icke as an influence on him and has promoted Holocause denialist views. If the Weider brothers could have predicted this they would have banned him from the IFBB: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rqc1Z9gjk5s Whenever he has said this these things a wave of anti-Semites, general racists and conspiracy theorists appear to support him in comment sections (they could be bots). The documentary is produced by some Russian guy who owns this Generation Iron brand. No idea who he is or why he is fascinated with bodybuilders because he doesn't look like he trains or who knows how he has all this money at his young looking age. A Russian female producer also produced a biopic for lunatic David Icke which was also at the top of the Apple TV charts. Looks like the Apple TV rating and review system is tooo easy to brigade. | Confusion over apps needed on Apple TV Posted: 21 Nov 2019 02:19 PM PST Before we got Apple TV earlier this month, we streamed BritBox, Acorn, Masterpiece, CBS, Showtime and Amazon Prime using the Amazon Prime app that was on our Samsung TV. Through that single app, we streamed all those channels. Now using Apple TV, it looks like we can watch all those channels using ONLY the Amazon Prime app — no need to run those shows though the apps that were created for each of them for Apple TV. Posted: 21 Nov 2019 10:16 AM PST I know this is probably a dumb question, but my family just got a 5th gen Apple TV, and with the new TVos, I want to be able to put my own, personal Apple ID on it, in addition to the one they all already share. If I do so, will that also carry over my personal streaming data from apps like Netflix, Hulu, Disney+, etc. for things like my own watchlists and recommended shows and movies? So it would be as if I was using my own accounts instead of theirs? Or is it only locked in to whatever account first logged on to it unless I sign in within the individual apps?
