    Third party wireless chargers

    I just got myself a Baseus 2-in-1 wireless charger so that I can charge my phone and apple watch at the same time. Sadly, the apple watch keeps looping in and out of charging (lighting up the screen and showing the battery indicator). Is it just me or are third party chargers no longer compatible with apple watches anymore?

    P.S. I am new to apple watch and any advice would be greatly appreciated!

    Apple Watch BBC Sounds

    Does anyone know if the BBC Sounds app will work on Apple Watch without having iPhone on my at the same time?

    Ideally would like to go running and listen to BBC shows but not have to take iPhone with me.

    Apple Watch Cases.

    If there is one sub I like in Reddit it's the Apple Watch sub. Loads of tech info, tips, and seeing other people's watch faces and straps. All good right?

    No it isn't all good. So lets address the elephant in the room and call this out...the bullying. The snide remarks.

    Time and again I see someone post a picture of their watch, either to show the strap or the watch face, expecting other users to give such comments as "love the strap" or "how did you get the complications on that face"...and thankfully there are many good comments like that.

    But more frequently there are comments ignoring the band or face and concentrating on there being a clear case on the watch. Comments like "stupid" and "dumb" are regular.

    Sadly, some will feel they have to remove the cases because they look "stupid" or "dumb" and within a short time may have a scratch or crack on the watch or glass that ruins it for them.

    And all because some random people that they will never meet called their watch case "dumb"

    Passive bullying.

    You know what? If you have a case on because it gives you peace of mind, if you have one because you are clumsy, if you have one because your watch is new and you want to protect it, if you have one on because £400 is a hell of a lot of money to spend and you want to do all you can to look after the watch....they are all ok. All good valid reasons for using a case.

    If you have a case that is YOUR choice, it's YOUR watch, use it how YOU want to. Ignore the bullies with their negativity and aggressive attitude to cases.

    I expect this will get downvoted till it's the highest downvoted post ever on Reddit...but you know what? I don't care. I feel bad for the people who want to show their new band or face just to get negativity thrown at them. Someone has to call out the nastiness on here, and it might as well be me!

    Taptic notifications for the noise level app?

    I have a series 5 sport. For my job I am frequently around random intermittent loud sounds. I thought that the noise app would be a huge benefit to me as I frequently forget to put in earplugs when these noises happen.

    Unfortunately I am unable to get a Taptic notification to happen when the noise detection goes off, it just presents itself as a silent notification that I see as the red dot there is a new notification in Notification Center. This isn't very helpful as I often don't see this until hours later.

    I've tried everything I can think of in settings on the watch and in the iOS watch app. I can't make it happen. Is this the norm for this app or is this just a problem with my setup?

    Just got a new series 4 with LTE from amazon with the sale they were having. Are the cellular strength dots supposed to be present or non-existent? I’ve tried various watch faces and I’m on WatchOS 6.1.

    Calling a Cellular watch from my iPhone

    My series 0 battery doesn't last a whole day anymore. I'm probably going to upgrade to the Series 5 but unsure about getting Cellular or not. I don't plan on not having my phone with me except in one case.

    My 8yo is starting to roam more and I figure If I gave her my watch for the afternoon, I could check her location via FindMy, but would we be able to talk back and forth?

    Basically, could I call or walkie-talkie the watch from my phone over cellular?

    Also, would it notify my phone for fall detection (such as crashing her bike)?

    Apple Music in Apple Watch

    Hey community- I have a question about playing Apple music from the watch, and playing stored watch music.

    When listening to my songs, Apple used to sprinkle in random songs I don't have in my library. I liked it. I don't know the rhyme or reason of how it happened but I liked it because I had opportunity to hear new music and still listen to my playlist at the same time. I can skip or add to my library in the sprinkles in music.

    Recently (probably on Watch OS) update, I haven't experienced it doing it again.

    Does anyone know about this and if it's still available?

    How long do you think it would take before the apple watch 3 could be considered old and needs to be replaced? For example someone with iphone 6 today should probably upgrade to a x-11 cuz its outdatef

    . . . when your final event for the day is finished the calendar complication showed you the weather instead of telling you there's nothing else scheduled for today, especially on the Infograph Modular face. Gmail Outlook and Apple calendars all have this information already so it's not like it's a big deal.

    "Now Playing" app on my apple watch 5 drains the battery stupidly quick when streaming music from Youtube music

    As the title says, my apple watch loses 1% of battery every few minutes when "Now Playing" is running in the background. After removing it from the watch my battery life is back to normal.

    Before anybody tells me to use spotify or apple music, I can't. Neither is supported in croatia and I refuse to pay for a vpn to pay for a streaming service.

    EDIT: Does the same happen to you guys as well?

    I've been curious about the Apple watch since I came back to iOS in September when I bought an iPhone 11.

    After a couple of weeks of mulling, I finally pulled the trigger when I found the Series 4 in black stainless on BestBuy's site for $399. I guess this solidifies my commitment to iOS for a while.

    It feels like a lot of money for a wrist accessory; however, I'm hopeful that the features/capabilities and extra premium stainless body and sapphire crystal will make it feel valued.

    Wanted to share the deal, since it's one of the biggest discounts on recently the top of line Apple products I've ever seen (list price: $749, sales price: $399, discount 46.7%).

    I'd love any first suggestions for how to get the most out of the initial Apple watch experience for someone who hasn't really understood the purpose of watches since we all started carrying phones.

    iPhone Xs / 11 Pro + Apple Watch 4,5 sync speed + Hermes?

    Has anyone here used their Apple Watch with both an iPhone Xs and an 11 Pro? If so, did you notice any increase in sync speed? I'm mainly interested in hearing from people with a Series 4 or 5. I had bought an AW4 a few months ago and unfortunately, the sync time was too slow for me. IIRC it took me over an hour to sync ~180 songs. https://i.imgur.com/eLBZ1pu.jpg

    Also, there was a bug that I reported to Apple where a playlist would only show the first 100 songs, despite all songs being synced. This pic shows my playlist stuck in the "K" section: https://i.imgur.com/ync2xzL.jpg I created a case, which was "escalated" and the case manager told me that Apple engineers were aware of the issue and a fix would roll out soon. I contacted him a couple of months later but I never received a reply. Anyone know if this has been fixed?

    And if you bought the Hermes edition, why? Is there any difference in functionality or is it just the luxury bands + Hermes faces? I would like to have a face that shows seconds, which is really helpful when working out.

    After having looked at the alternatives, namely the Galaxy Active2 and Fitbit Versa2, I've concluded that no one really has a watch that matches Apple. So, I'd like to buy a Series 5 SS but I'm hoping the syncing issues I pointed above are resolved.
