    Is it all in my head or is NFC lightyears better with 13.2.3, at least on the iphone 11 pro? I have a tag next to my bed that triggers an automation and I used to have to fumble with the angle and wait a bit for it to trigger. I updated last night and afterwards it triggered far faster and with less attention to placement as ever before. I did it 3 more times to verify.

    Since the release of SE in 2016 I have updated two relatives' SE all the time from one major version to another, but only since the transition from 12.4 to 13.2 I'm hearing them complaining about phone being hotter and draining faster than before.

    Using them as a guinea pig now I'm hesitant to update mine, running on 12.4.

    How is your experience with 13 on SE?

    So over the past few weeks, I have noticed that my battery percentage indicator has been behaving oddly. I don't have a lot of apps and I don't use my phone for much apart from messaging. As a result, it rarely drops by 1% more frequently than every 1.5-2 hours or so.

    However, over the last few weeks, I have noticed strange drops in the battery, as well as a single percentage hanging for up to 8 hours.

    For an example, I charged my phone to 100% on Monday night. Its drain was fine all of Tuesday, until, after leaving it for a while, 15 mins, on 85%, it dropped to 80% when I came back. Its drain was again fine over night, being only 74% when I woke up. However, once I came home from work, after switching off mobile data and using wifi, I came back after a few mins and it was down from 65% to 60%. Went out for the night, came back, did the same action again, and it was down from 55% to 50%. Yet overnight it drained fine, barely 6%. Now it's been on 43% since 8 in the morning, despite having used it since then.

    Battery usage shows no apps utilising it during these times, or at least nothing out of the ordinary using it excessively.

    Given all this, there are a few things I would like to know:

    • How does iOS actually calculate the percentage? Is it completely dependent on the battery cell itself, or does it do so based on past usage over a period of time?
    • If its the latter, does that mean that the remaining charge is actually higher, and the reading I am getting is based off an incorrect estimation of usage that isn't occurring?
    • Is this a known issues with iOS 13? I updated to the most recent version before I got the above result, but this has been happening for at least a few weeks now.

    Edit: For clarification, I updated on Monday, so I should be one iOS 13.2.3

    I know we all want immediate answers or validation for some of the issues we encounter with iOS, but does anyone actually report them to Apple, too?

    They can't fix issues if they don't know they exist, and whining about it here won't help in the long run. No matter how widespread or obscure you think your issue is, please report to Apple!

    just recently I haven't been able to download or update apps on my iPhone when connected to WIFI. This problem started happening since I updated to iOS 13.2.2 and is still on going with 13.2.3 below is example screenshots of the problem. I restarted my iPhone I also factory reset it but still having the same issue. This is quite bizarre. Is this is a bug in the recent versions of iOS ?

    iOS 13.2.3: Unable to turn off “Increase Quote Level.” Same on iPadOS. Anyone else?

    Running 13.2.3, and even noticed this in 13.2.2 in my iPhone 11

    When I go to the App Store and select an app or game and click GET nothing happens. If I do the same on my iPad, I am able to select GET and download stuff.

    I am THEN able to go back on my iPhone and click the cloud icon and I am able to download that app or game. Not sure what the issue is.

    I have selected a different language in settings then back to English. Tried changing date and time. Force closed the App Store, rebooted. None of these make a difference. Besides having to do a full wipe and restore, and other suggestions?

    Searching for a specific alarm app

    Hello,

    so i have a serious issue with sleep cycles and waking up. Basically, almost every morning, i'll wake up when my alarm rings, but i quickly turn it off, lay back in bed to "take time to wake up" and almost immediately fall back asleep.

    Trust me i've tried everything : setting alarms on two phones, putting phones really far (even putting it on a window ledge), but it always ends up with me falling back in my bed.

    So i'm searching for an alarm app that can prevent that, for example something that would require me to regularly click some kind of "i'm awake" button until a defined hour, or it'll ring endlessly. Or something even better

    I have no idea if this kind of app exists on iOS but if you know one... Tell me, i'm begging you !

    Cannot send photos via email with GMail/Outlook

    Hello,
    I've been having this frustrating issue since a while, even with my previous iPhones. Basically if I go to the photo gallery, select a photo and send it to myself (to my work email) via Gmail, it doesn't work. Nothing happens. I check sent email and nothing is there. This has happened with both the Gmail official client and outlook. Why?? It happened on iOS 11, 12, 13.. I don't know what I'm doing wrong. Sending via the stock mail app works.

    Oh god the hell that the Books app has become. It freezes, jitters, randomly kicks me out of a book and vanishes books. It's only usable in Airplane mode with WiFi off

    I have tried all the various Settings workarounds. They don't work.

    I just want the app to bloody work like it used to. It's clearly doing endless checks with Apple to verify fuck knows what.

    The books I'm trying to read are my own novel drafts in ePub format. There is no DRM issue or anything else. They weren't bought from the Store.

    It's driving me to despair.

    Yeah header says all. I use iOS 13.2.2 on my iPhone 6S and do not use "Raise to Awake" feature.

    Best email app?

    I switched from android temporarily, and I'm having trouble finding a good email app. On android I used BlueMail and it worked awesome for the email addresses I use regularly but the iPhone version is really buggy. I don't like the UI on gmail or the stock mail app so I'm wondering what iPhone users usually use?
