    Raise to wake not working

    Posted: 04 Oct 2019 07:37 AM PDT

So today in the morning I updated my Series 3 38mm to WatchOS 6.0.1. The watch was working completely fine apart from the fact that it wasn't able to track 'Stand' properly after the WatchOS 6.0 update. Now the watch refuses to light up the screen from Raise to wake gesture..also it isn't tracking Stand at all. When I tap the display and then make the watch to the position where it should turn off the display..it doesn't until the screen times out.

Strange Noise coming from the Side Button (S5). Faulty unit?

    Posted: 04 Oct 2019 08:03 AM PDT

I just bought the S5 Apple Watch aluminum, but I just discovered that whenever I place my finger on the side button, it makes this really strange noise, like something is sticking and then popping up the button.. I'm just sliding my finger on the button, not pressing it. My S2 never did this and I'm scared that the watch could be faulty. Can you help me telling if this is normal?

Apple watch not responding since Watchos6 update

    Posted: 04 Oct 2019 06:33 AM PDT

Hi, I have an Apple Watch s3 and since the Watch06 updates it's been sluggish to respond as I press the screen to check something and it doesn't respond and won't after being pressed several times. I tried a forced reset even tried unpairing and setting it up as a new watch and it works for a few days then the problems come back. is this something I'm doing or a known issue anyone else has experienced or should I take it to get looked at?

    Thanks in advance

Aluminium "Gold" is barely even gold

    Posted: 04 Oct 2019 06:26 AM PDT

So I picked up an aluminium gold series 4 on eBay for a really good price but I'm a little disappointed by the colour. I think it looks a little too pink - I have a standard black 3rd party strap & a gold milanese one. I prefer the black strap but the case still looks too feminine for my liking. Silly me, I know, should've done some more research but I thought gold would be gold lol

Ideally, I'd rather avoid the hassle of returning it and stuff so was thinking to perhaps just get a case to possibly cover it? And ideas or recommendations? Aside from that, I'm actually loving the watch - my first time owning one

Can’t talk through Apple Watch series 4

    Posted: 04 Oct 2019 06:12 AM PDT

When someone's calling me I just accept the call on my Apple Watch but can't talk through it, like I would answer through my iPhone. Is there any option I need to turn on to talk through ale watch? Or it's a bug or something is wrong with my watch.

Are the health features the same on a Series 4 and Series 5?

    Posted: 04 Oct 2019 02:08 AM PDT

Thinking of picking up an Apple Watch S4 or S5 just for the Health monitoring capabilities and it seems to me that the ECG and what not are exactly the same on a S4 and S5.

    Apple Watch S5 - A GPS Question

    Posted: 04 Oct 2019 05:41 AM PDT

    So...

I bought my S3 a little while back and used "wanting to get healthy" as an excuse/justification. Trouble is, now I'm running half marathons and, I'll be honest, the GPS is pretty pants at times - telling me my recent half was 12.2 miles, when the two people I ran with measured a more respectable 13.1 (as expected).

So my question is... is the GPS/run mapping/etc more accurate with the newer models?

    Secondary question...

How's the sensor on the underside? I've always had a little bit of an issue with my wrist tattoos disconnecting me occasionally, but with WOS6, it seems to be worse as of late.

    Cheers all!

Series 3 slowdown on WatchOS 6

    Posted: 03 Oct 2019 12:44 PM PDT

Hello! Is anyone else noticing their Series 3 slowing down / lagging on Watch OS 6 (among other bugs)? It seemed quite a lot quicker on Watch OS 5

Watch OS6: hiking workout is improved pretty dramatically

    Posted: 03 Oct 2019 06:05 PM PDT

I was often frustrated by the hiking workout in WOS5. In v5, the accuracy of both distance and elevation gain were pretty far off when I compared a route to accurate maps. It often showed an extra 0.5ish miles on a 5ish mile hike. It also often undercounted elevation gain by around 20%, where a 3,000ft climb might only count as 2,000-2,500.

Now, in OS6, I find my distance very close to the map, and the gain in elevation nearly perfect. It even reports the total elevation gain, in addition to the highest and lowest overall altitude. It's amazing.

Also, the heart rate continues to be reported when the workout is paused. This is HUGE for me, as I often stop to catch my breath after a fast climb sends my heart rate near my max.

None of this was advertised, but I feel like I received a new device after the upgrade. I am so appreciative how much work Apple put in to make this good product great.

I was actually shopping for a new device from another company, though I never found one that rated any better than Apple Watch unless it had a super-short battery life.

Now I get crazy-great all day battery life to track my epic all day hikes, and damn near perfect real-time stats.

I love Watch OS 6 (on my 4th gen device). If I broke it tonight, I'd take an hour off tomorrow to buy a new one.

Series 5 on watchOS 6.0.1 battery issue

    Posted: 04 Oct 2019 05:09 AM PDT

Anyone else having battery problems with the new watch update? Especially if you have the new series 5? I need help. Max I can get is 9hrs and no I am not constantly playing with it throughout the day.

It drains around 11% in an hour when I am doing nothing but just wearing it.

    Heeeelllllpppppp

watch os 6 does not do airplane mode at all on apple watch 5.

    Posted: 04 Oct 2019 05:05 AM PDT

I sleep in my apple watch to track sleeping but I make sure to turn on airplane mode, and turn off everything that I can on the watch so that it doesn't do anything other than the alarm.

Today I got a telephone call despite being in airplane mode.

Check your watch it does it all of the time. I was purposely trying to turn off all emf and all transmissions in and out of the watch when sleeping. Watch os 6 no longer does this.

If anyone else can confirm this that would be great.

This is a brand new apple watch 5 that I got on the release day.

    Series 2 watch OS 5.3.2 & iPhone 6?

    Posted: 04 Oct 2019 04:47 AM PDT

Hi I have a series 2 & it's paired with my X. I am wanting to upgrade to S5 and give my S2 to an iPhone 6 owner. How can I make this happen as I believe that iPhone 6 isn't supported with OS 5? Thanks in advance!
