Posted: 03 Sep 2019 06:59 PM PDT Recently my Series 2 died unexpectedly after 2.5 years of daily use. I was devastated, as my AppleCare was about 6 months expired. A couple days later I noticed the screen was lifting due to an expanding battery. Googled it, and realized this particular problem is covered for 3 years from the purchase date. Set up a repair with Apple support, and a week later I got my replacement. Due to a shortage of Series 2 replacements, I got upgraded to a Series 3 with cellular! Feels like getting a brand new watch, and I couldn't be happier with the Apple support experience. [link] [comments]

Posted: 04 Sep 2019 04:54 AM PDT What are the chances we will actually see a Titanium Apple Watch? What do you think the prices will be? I'm wanting a new Apple Watch, but I'm holding out for the Announcements on the 10th to see what the new ones might bring.. [link] [comments]
Apple Watch 4 - Activity Tracker flaw while traveling Posted: 04 Sep 2019 04:27 AM PDT Activity Tracker counts Calories ,Exercise minutes and stand hours without me being doing anything.I was just travelling in a car for more than 5 hours as a passenger. Activity tracker automatically counts in randomly and awards me for the activity. Have anybody face this issue or scenario? https://discussions.apple.com/thread/250256258?answerId=250476813022#250476813022 [link] [comments]
Apple Watch Series 4 (40 mm)... took a dive (venting) Posted: 03 Sep 2019 04:57 PM PDT I've had my new Apple Watch for about a month and half. I'm an active snorkeler and body boarder, so I was pleased that the watch is advertised as water-resistant up to 30m. I'm always in shallow depths. That being said, for added protection, I ordered a water-proof watch case. Once I recieved the the water-proof watch case, I tested some basic water activities in my pool. In practice, the case ended up not being water proof in practice, even though it enclosed the watch, but I figured it still reduce the amount of water that the watch would normally be exposed to. So, I continued to use my watch for some basic body boarding / swimming, in the case. This weekend, after being at the beach for several hours, my watch went totally dead when I returned to the shore. Black screen. I let it dry a bit and put it on the charger when I got home. It kept resetting and not charging. I then left it off the charger overnight and it finally charged the next day, but now the touch screen isn't working well, the digital crown doesn't work and I can't turn it off. The watch is essentially broken, although it's in pristine condition physically. Seems like the water activities maybe led to water seepage, which is ridiculous, since it was well within Apple's cautionary advisories, such as surfing and swimming, plus I had the watch in a (semi) waterproof & shock-proof case. I'm definitely within my Apple Care period, so I'm sure I can get the watch replaced / repaired, but I'm very disappointed that the watch is not as water-resistant as they seemingly advertise. Of course, I wasn't expecting it to be water-proof, but I figured standard water activities combined with a case should have been more than fine and maybe even a bit borderline paranoid. I'm aggravated, as one of the main reasons I bought this watch was the have the LTE / emergency call option, if something happens to me out in open water. Using the Apple Watch in water is a necessity for me. [link] [comments]
Lately I’ve been noticing that the battery life had gotten way worse on my s4. Posted: 04 Sep 2019 05:46 AM PDT Lately I've been noticing that the battery life had gotten way worse on my s4. I got it last year before Christmas. Then I would get like 50-60 %at the end of the day but for a few weeks it got so bad that in sometimes turned of at like 10 pm (I start my day at 7 am). Do you guys have any experience and do you think I could get a new watch (I bought mine from Apple ) [link] [comments]

Should I buy a S4 today or wait until the end of September? Posted: 04 Sep 2019 05:59 AM PDT Curious, historically what the price drop has been. Could I buy S4 and return it? Mostly looking to use it for fitness tracking I don't care much about sleep etc as I wouldn't sleep with it on. Thought? [link] [comments]

Posted: 03 Sep 2019 02:51 PM PDT Hi all, I've had my Apple Watch since Christmas and now I'm in search of a better sleep tracker. I'm currently using Sleep++ and I've noticed that it's very off with somethings. Like I it thought that I woke up at 5 AM last Sunday, but I know that I got up around 8:30 that day. So is there a better sleep tracker out there or is this the best one? [link] [comments]
Posted: 03 Sep 2019 09:49 PM PDT To start this I used to have an Apple Watch Series 3 with cellular and I wanted to downsize to something simple so I ended up buying an a garmin which I've had for over a year I've missed the customizability and added features of the watch and the new feature I've been wanting to use the ECG and better display. I have an iPhone XS and don't need cellular watch so I'm thinking to save money I'll get the GPS only model Space Gray 44mm with the Black Aluminum and Sport Band. I saw it on sale at be at buy for $379.99 regular is $429.99. My question for this discussion is should I wait til after the series 5 is released and see if there any bigger price drops for the Series 4? Since I've been hearing that the series 5 may be a minor upgrade and as a student I want to save more money. [link] [comments]
Posted: 03 Sep 2019 09:34 PM PDT I'm a pretty big Apple fan, I love the os and have only been using iPhones for the past 7 years, I'm interested in maybe getting an Apple Watch but I have no clue what I can do with it and how it can improve my everyday life and Apple eco system. I don't think I'll be using it for calls but I am quite an active person and have seen it has some health apps and benefits built into the watch but I don't know what's it's limits are and what other features it has. Is the series 3 still relevant or is getting the series 4 or even waiting for a series 5 better? [link] [comments]
Posted: 03 Sep 2019 08:45 PM PDT I reset my phone yesterday and repaired my watch. Before doing that, my watch used to unlock automatically as soon as I opened my phone. I had to go manually enable that option to get it working. Has that option always required to be enabled manually? I don't remember ever doing it before today. [link] [comments]
When on wifi & without the iPhone Posted: 03 Sep 2019 08:02 PM PDT I'm on a series 4. Can the watch check emails using the watches wifi connection? I'm currently travelling abroad. [link] [comments]
Does anyone have link to a 20mm band adapter for a 42mm case? Posted: 03 Sep 2019 07:21 PM PDT Amazon and Ebay seem to only have 42mm for 22mm straps but looking at old Reddit posts, there does seem to exist a 20MM band adapter out there for the 42mm Applewatch. I recently was gifted an Applewatch and wore many watches before, most of which have a 20mm band, it would be great if I could simply use straps from my old watches. I've tried my 20mm straps on my 22mm adapter but the gap is bothersome. [link] [comments] |
