    Serious Question: Why does everybody hate the current remote?

    Ever since I got my ATV 4K I've been loving the remote. I find it a lot nicer to use than a Firestick or Roku remote (had both). Instead of constantly having to click, now I can simply change how fast I swipe. The "typing" experience is super convenient and fast with Siri and the going back and forth 10 seconds is something I love. Battery is amazing and I have probably charged it twice in the almost year I've had it. I can control my soundbar with it even when the ATV is not in use so it simplifies my remote situation.

    I get it can get lost easily but that's just an user problem. I installed a skin on it because I feared it would get scratched but that's about it. If it has a designated place, I don't see why it would be such a problem.

    Only thing I would change is the ability to easily scroll through a video much faster instead of holding the edge of the remote until I got where I wanted to. Well... that and the price for replacing it.

    Additionally, the integration with iPhone's Control Center and Apple Watch makes it a whole lot better than any other streaming device. I find this very useful in some cases in which I'm in a hurry and I can't find it or if I'm just straight up lazy haha.

    Not authorized to view content (Live TV Apps)

    I just switched from direct tv to PlayStation Vue. The PlayStation Vue app works great on my Apple TV, but when I went into my Accounts and logged out of my tv provider and relogged in with PlayStation Vue, all my tv streaming apps say I'm not authorized to watch live content.... ABC, ESPN, cnngo, Cartoon Network, destination America, diy network, and I'm sure the rest of I keep trying.

    Any ideas why this might be happening? I ensured that this Apple TV was set as the home source.

    Harmony remote users with AppleTV

    I'm wondering which, if any, of the Harmony remotes are able to translate Apple remote trackpad gestures into regular button pushes. My specific examples pertain to the Fubo app on AppleTV. It does channel surfing by swiping left or right on Apple remote & does Last Channel by long pressing track pad. Can't duplicate either of these using my Samsung remote (we prefer buttons). Left/right buttons do not advance the channels & long press of Enter doesn't translate either. I'm wondering if a Harmony remote would have the necessary "coding" for these functions?

    Prime Video (Jack Ryan) Atmos Support on Apple TV 4K?

    I have an Apple TV 4K and Amazon Prime Video, but I cannot get Atmos to work on the Prime Video app. I have no problem playing Atmos content on other apps with the Apple TV (rented/owned movies via Apple's app, Netflix, etc.).

    But the Amazon Prime Video app does not show any content in Atmos, only 5.1. I confirmed this today with Jack Ryan (the UHD/4K version), where the home screen for the show showed a 5.1 icon and the show itself broadcast in 5.1.

    Can anyone verify that they can currently stream Jack Ryan on the Prime Video app for Apple TV with Atmos audio? Wondering if it's an issue with the content or my setup.

    Apple TV keeps changing source when using PS4

    I rarely turn on my PS4 but today i found an annoying issue. When i am using The PS4 in HDMI 3 after a couple of minutes i get a pop up saying RC passthrough active and my Source switches to HDMI, my apple tv's input, automatically. It's done this 3 times in the time it took just to update the console and quickly check the store so i imagine it will make gaming impossible. I don;t want to unplug the apple tv constantly and the ports are quite fiddly, does anyone else have this issue and know of a fix? I imagine it does it with all other devices, not just the PS4 and i imagine its a common issue to solve?

    Apple TV exclusives

    Hey guys,

    I am looking to buy an apple TV 4k for Zwift. But then again I can't justify buying an apple TV only for this one use case. What are some exclusive features or apps that are truly useful? I have an Android tv, use a Google pixel 3 with Google homes, but also have a Mac and iPad Pro. For now I'd probably only use it for Airplay and Zwift. I'm not interested in Apple's new streaming service.

    Dolby Vision Broken on Apple tv 4k, I have an lv 70uh700v and dolby vision used to work perfect with my ATV works fine on xbox one x but on my apple tv its been broken since installeng the last tvos i tried changing cables etc , How can this be fixed? Its not a tv issue..
