First time I used this feature - I’m very happy that it exists! Posted: 07 Jul 2019 02:09 PM PDT I could not find my Apple Watch when I woke up this morning. I checked the coffee table, my nightstand, the kitchen, the bathroom, my studio, and still could not find it. I searched for about 15 minutes. Then, I got the idea to ask Siri on my iPhone, "Hey Siri, ping my Apple Watch," and sure enough, It started pinging away underneath a stack of papers on my desk. The audio was quite loud, as was the flashing green light on the backside of the watch. Pretty cool. 👍 [link] [comments]
Text messages remaining unread on Apple Watch Posted: 08 Jul 2019 06:59 AM PDT I have an Apple Watch Series 4 synced with my iPhone XS. Recently I've been having an issue where all of my message notifications from iMessage go unread on my Apple Watch even though I've read them on my iPhone. I've tried doing some research on how to resolve this issue and it seems something similar goes as far back as 2017. Is this bug still not fixed? How do I go about fixing this? [link] [comments]
I woke up and all my activity rings are full, what can I do? Posted: 08 Jul 2019 04:26 AM PDT So I woke up and all my activity rings were full. Unless I ran a marathon in my sleep I have no idea how this happened. I am using Autosleep to track my sleep but I have not found any glitches concernig that app. This is a brandnew watch just got it last friday. If anybody knows how or has had the same experience please let me know. Screenshot of my activity rings [link] [comments]
Posted: 08 Jul 2019 04:30 AM PDT Does anyone know of an app that shows the battery level of the watch and/or the iPhone on the Siri watch face when it gets low? [link] [comments]

Watch GPS accuracy (alone vs phone) Posted: 08 Jul 2019 07:52 AM PDT Are there any comparisons done on this? I keep getting the feeling that the watch alone is better than paired to the phone for running, but turning off bluetooth on my phone means I get no music on my airpods. Are there any comparisons done on this somewhere? Can't really find much just googling. [link] [comments]
Posted: 08 Jul 2019 04:07 AM PDT I was wondering if anyone had any success with AutoSleep card and the Siri watch face? For me, around bedtime, as expected, AutoSleep card pops up ready for lights out. I click it, and then select "Do It" and it wishes me a good night. However I don't think it's actually selecting lights out. When I check my app on my phone and watch it doesn't say a session has started. So I select lights out via the app on the watch which does begin to show the session staffing in both places. I know it's a small extra step, but I'm really enjoying the Siri face so far. New Apple Watch 4, clock face unresponsive. Posted: 08 Jul 2019 03:20 AM PDT hard press the clock face to bring up the customize button works but the the customise button doesn't do anything. The button registers (animates) when it is clicked but nothing else happens. Restarting the watch fixes the issue for about 10 minutes after which it does not work again. [link] [comments]
Pairing Apple link bracelet with aluminum Apple Watch — corrosion? Posted: 08 Jul 2019 01:41 AM PDT I'm thInking about pairing my aluminum Apple Watch S4 with an Apple stainless steel link bracelet. I remember reading about some concerns about corrosion back when then the Apple Watch was a new product when this pairing came up, but nothing since then about real-world use. Anyone have any first-hand experience or observations about this? [link] [comments]
Posted: 07 Jul 2019 09:14 PM PDT I want to get a watch but I'm not sure what size. Are there any men out there that have the 40mm watch? Do you feel like it's too small? I've checked both out at the store but I just can't decide. Thanks everyone! [link] [comments]
Posted: 08 Jul 2019 08:06 AM PDT I just spent four days camping outside of WiFi and phone service. I left my iPhone in the car and wore my watch. The battery on the watch died more quickly than I've seen before and I'm wondering if it is because it was constantly looking for the iPhone. Here are more details: I was 10 miles out of phone service at the campsite but drove to town twice to get some time on my road bike in preparation for an upcoming biking trip. I charged the watch two separate times to more than 80% before two morning rides and the watch was dead before the next day. The iPhone was holding its charge but never came out of the car console except for me to check its battery. I did not carry the phone with me while on my bike. I would ride, shower, and head back to the campsite. The watch was always charged before the rides and the charge did not last 24 hours. This is not the battery life I'm used to on the watch. I can get more than 36 hours even when I exercise with it on. The difference is the location of my phone—usually in a pocket. Any ideas why the watch battery hated camping? [link] [comments]
The dock needs full screen previews Posted: 08 Jul 2019 06:39 AM PDT The dock showed the whole screen of each app in a horizontal scroll in Watch OS 3. We need that back, even if it's scrolling vertically. [link] [comments]
Tracking activity while pushing stroller Posted: 07 Jul 2019 07:57 PM PDT My Series 4 doesn't seem to track activity when pushing my baby in his stroller. My guess is the accelerometer needs your hands to be moving, but has anyone else encountered this problem and found a solve for it? [link] [comments]

Pairing headphones - why so hard? Posted: 07 Jul 2019 11:27 PM PDT One thing in particular is glaringly bad experience with Apple Watch, to the point where I think it must be me but haven't found an answer on google/forums so far. I use Ink'd Bluetooth headphones and the process if I want to temporarily switch them between watch and phone is ridiculous. At the moment only reliable way I've found is to forget the headphones on both devices and repair from scratch. Surely can't be that hard. Is it better with AirPods? A couple of posts I did find hinted at that. I want to be able to seamlessly switch on request from device and don't think that should be an issue. Am I missing something obvious? Anyone else have this? I've found posts that hint at it but struggled to get a definitive answer. [link] [comments]
Posted: 08 Jul 2019 06:08 AM PDT Hi Guys. Just wondered, do you think there will be a massive change from Series 4 to Series 5? I'm presuming Watch OS6 will be available on a Series 4 so surely we are only looking at changes hardware wise? [link] [comments]
Two ways to improve battery life overnight, turn on “cinema mode” and turn off wi-fi in settings. Posted: 08 Jul 2019 12:50 AM PDT Lost less than 5-10% battery by doing this these last few days. Note you have to turn off wi-fi in the settings not in the slide up or it will automatically turn itself back on again randomly. Cinema mode stops the screen from turning on by itself. I'm looking for a habit tracking app Posted: 07 Jul 2019 05:27 PM PDT Ideally one that shows how many habits I have remaining to complete in that day on a complication. I think Streaks could do it but at $6.99 is a bit more than I expected to pay for this app... Streaks by Crunchy Bagel https://apps.apple.com/ca/app/streaks/id963034692 [link] [comments]
Posted: 07 Jul 2019 10:48 PM PDT Hello, so I'm in the market for a new Apple Watch as the battery life on my current one (series 2) just isn't doing it anymore. I'm a bit concerned about my activity data and if it'll carry over, or if the new Watch will mess with my existing data at all? The little awards I've earned and all the data on there is kinda important to me in keeping track of my fitness journey. [link] [comments]
Does Calendar complication only look at 'today'? Posted: 07 Jul 2019 02:27 PM PDT I've checked phone...synced watch but screen always says No More Events. Does it only look at today, because I have other events starting tomorrow that only show if I click calendar open [link] [comments]
Series 3 battery sudden death before hitting low battery? Posted: 07 Jul 2019 09:57 PM PDT Hi, I have been having issue with the battery of my S3 Watch, the battery would die randomly around 65% - 75%. When it does that, it would not boot up until it's connected to a charger. And when after the boot up, the battery would be around 65% - 75%.. Is this an indication of bad battery? Posted: 07 Jul 2019 08:55 PM PDT I recently dropped my Series 2, and the display cracked and I lost touch functionality. The screen no longer responds, and I have tried everything I can. Is this something potentially fixing the screen could resolve, or is it possible this is a problem on the motherboard or ribbon cables? [link] [comments] |
