    I deleted an app and now I can reinstall it

    The app is Skype, it's gone from my screen because I deleted it but I wanted reinstall it, so when I go to the App Store to do so it says "open" as if I still had it installed and if I click on it nothing happens.

    I tried going to software>storage>Skype to try to "delete" it but it doesn't appear. However, when I go to settings and scroll down to see all the apps that I have installed Skype appears, not the Skype icon but just the grid white icon.

    I've tried everything, rebooting my iPhone multiple times, updating the software, etc. nothing changes... any ideas?

    I had recently bought an IPhone 7 off a friend but have encountered one issue and that is a heating issue. After a few minutes of using the phone, it warms up and stays hot whilst using it but not necessarily overheating. Anyone know how I can fix this? I have tried rebooting the phone and updating the software but the problem still occurs.

    My iPhone broke while in another country!

    Long story short - I ran my iPhone XS under the tap for 8 seconds and and dry it off. Next thing you know the screen flickers green, then it goes to green, and now the screen is off. This phone is IP68 and new! It should NOT end up like this. My S7 Edge was washed under the tap often in the past 3 years and it had virtually NO ISSUES. I tried checking the water label indicator but I cannot find it in the sim area.

    Anyways, the phone vibrates and all but the screen does not work. I need to fix it - does Apple Malaysia fix U.S. phones? If it is a warranty thing (I hope so), does the repair center in Malaysia honor the American 1 year standars warranty?

    Absolutely ridiculous that a tiny bit of water renders the entire phone useless.

    Testing if an iPhone is actually "new"

    So I came across an ebay ad selling a new iphone 6s 128gb for $255.

    Pretty good deal. But it says it comes in a generic box with a generic wall charger and cable.

    Ok no biggie, but that is definitely a bit sus.

    To me "new" is the same as "came out of the factory."

    So one way to check is to dump battery stats and see if there's been no more than 1-2 charge cycles. But you can refurb a used phone, replace glass, etc. and do this.

    The more interesting check is to see if you can get any information about the flash storage statistics -- like the number of read/writes, or the number of power on hours, or the "wear leveling" statistics (usually this stuff isn't ever exposed anyway).

    So does anyone know if it is possible to expose the flash storage information such as usage metrics -- even if I have to jailbreak?

    iClouds hacked

    What immediate solutions do I have to my iclouds account being hacked? Find your iPhone is turned on and I'm being stalked by an ex. When I try to turn off find my iPhone, sign out of this iclouds account etc I'm asked for my password which is linked to an email I no longer have access to. When I try to change the password I'm asked for credit card info that's stored with Apple on a long expired forgotten card. What can I do right now?

    iPhone X screen flashing on FaceiD unlock

    Once in a while since this morning my iPhone X has been doing this weird screen flicker sometimes when I unlock my phone, I don't have a proper way to replicate it or anything, and it's only from about right below the date on the lock screen and about a quarter above the bottom of the screen, it's worrying me because I'm not sure what happened and I saved up my own money to purchase it and don't have the money to get it fixed, I figured I would come here before going to the Apple store.
