[TIP] HOW TO: Duplicate Apps on iOS 12

    Posted: 27 Jun 2019 07:21 PM PDT

    Video Demo: https://youtu.be/YJPPnYpG7OY

Decided to write up a tutorial for Duplicating Apps on iOS 12 (A12 included). This won't work for all apps so you just have to test it and try. This also might work on lower versions but hasn't been tested.

    • REQUIRES: Filza only *

STEP ONE: Create a .ipa that triggers the Duplicate.app to install

    • Navigate to: /var/mobile

    • Create a folder (name it whatever you want). Let's use 'trash' as an example

    • Turn the 'trash' folder into a ZIP file

    • Rename 'trash.zip' to 'trash.ipa'

    STEP TWO: Duplicating your app

    • Navigate to: /var/containers/Bundle/Application

    • Make this folder a Favorites. I named mine 'Application Apps'

    • Find the app you're wanting to duplicate

    • Open that folder and copy the APPS_NAME.app folder

    • Navigate to: /Applications

    • Paste APPS_NAME.app into the Applications folder

    • Open the APPS_NAME.app folder

    • Find/Open the 'Info.plist' file

    • Open CFBundleDisplayName and rename it. (e.g. AppName to AppName+)

    • Open CFBundleIdentifier and rename it. (e.g. com.company.appname to com.company.appname+)

    • Hit SAVE (top right), the DONE (top left)

    • Navigate back to: /var/mobile

    • Click on 'trash.ipa'

    • Press INSTALL (top right)

    • In less than a minute, your Duplicate.app will show up on the Springboard

Test the Duplicate.app to see if it works

** From now on, you will use the trash.ipa to trigger your device to install any Duplicate app you want to create in the future **

    UNINSTALL AN APP:

    • Navigate to: /Applications

    • (Non-A12 devices) Delete the Duplicate.app

    • (A12 devices) Rename and put a character after the Duplicate.app name (e.g. APP_NAME.app1)

    • Install the 'trash.ipa' file in /var/mobile again

Your app will disappear in less than a minute

    • Because Filza can't delete files on A12 devices, yet, the only way to permanently delete the file is by connecting to a computer and using a program like iFunBox to remove it *

[Discussion] Random respring with Nepeta tweaks installed

    Posted: 27 Jun 2019 06:09 PM PDT

Is it just me or is it a coincidence that people who have any nepeta tweaks installed on A11 or lower have random resprings? I had Axon, notifica, etc. installed and would receive at least 1 respring a day. I currently uninstalled all nepeta tweaks on my iPhone X and am getting 8+ days of uptime. On my iPad it's a different story. I currently have 5 days of uptime with Axon installed only. I have this feeling that every tweak that nepeta releases are more optimized for A12 than A11. Does anyone have any thoughts on this?

[Update] NeonBoard 2.0 - the biggest update to NeonBoard so far with a ton of new features & optimizations

    Posted: 27 Jun 2019 05:37 AM PDT

FINAL EDIT IF ANYONE CARES: It's fixed and I have a working 64 bit only deb but I don't have a PC atm so to drop it on my repo I'll have to wait for a friend

EDIT: some themes are broken right now. Gon' be hard fixing this from my phone but I'll try my best. Super sorry for the issues.

    EDIT 2: read this.

So basically this was confirmed working on @2x (retina, aka 5s) devices. My tester also used an SE, and I tested on a 5s and 5 so I didn't notice any crashes and stuff. However, they do happen on 6s and later devices when applying basically everything. Fixing this will be hard by itself anyway, but the worst it that I'm going out of my country without my laptop for a week. And all I'll have is my phone.

So yeah, probably don't expect a working update anytime way too soon. And stop saying I'm a good developer. I break everything

    working 1.0.2 deb

Hello /r/jailbreak. I delayed the initial release by a few weeks, but this so far is my second personal record - this NeonBoard update was delayed by 4 months, but it's finally here.

NeonBoard is a theming engine that started as a small experiment and ended up becoming a lot bigger than I expected. The 2.0 update brings a lot of features while mainly not affecting battery life (well, at least my testers said so... :P)

    What's new?

    • Themes icons on the whole SpringBoard by default, has options to enable widget & notification icons. These are disabled by default because they have not been confirmed to be working stable. I can say that on my iPhone SE on iOS 12 widget icons haven't affected battery life, but I don't know about notifications and other iOS versions/devices. Last time I tried notifications, they were a nightmare for battery life, but they might've improved now. (I'm leaving my country soon, so I wasn't able to test that too much, sorry.)

    • Full Clock and Calendar icon theming: Clock icon theming with support for custom arrows and stuff is enabled by default, and Calendar theming can be enabled in Settings. The reason Calendar theming is disabled by default is that I took the code from Anemone so it has full support for Anemone features and that can cause battery issues. I can not do anything to Calendar battery drain if it actually happens. Sorry. Clock theming works 100% battery friendly though.

    • Icon masks. They now work properly SpringBoard-wide... Almost. There's a bug on iOS 7 - 10 where unthemed icons are left unmasked. I'll fix that bug when I'm back home because I don't wanna delay the whole release because of one small bug.

    • New miscellaneous customization options: the initial release of NeonBoard could hide the icon labels and remove the dark icon overlay that appeared on launching apps. In NeonBoard 2.0, I added three new options: hide dock background, hide folder icon background and hide page dots.

    Future plans

I'm planning to add Settings icons theming and badges theming. Maybe. Or maybe not... We'll see :P

    Hello all,

Recently my device has been experiencing frequent resprings that don't put my device into safe mode but rather return it to the lock screen in a jailbroken state after 10 seconds or so. Does anyone know how to fix this issue, I can provide any information required to help solve this. Thanks.

    [Help] Random Freezes and Resprings

    Posted: 27 Jun 2019 10:19 PM PDT

So I've always been updated to the newest version of uncover. Until recently, when the newest version started causing frequent freezes on my device and would randomly respring while messing around on my phone. Most of the time it would happen while I connect my phone to my car to use CarPlay and CarBridge(tweak). I've previously hadn't had much problems with CarBridge on any version of uncover so I'm not sure why it happened now. I decided to go back to uncover version 3.1 because it rarely gave me problems when I used to previously. Everything was fine for a while, until a couple days ago, I had the same problems as running on the latest version. Random freezes, resprings. The same as before, most of these freezes and resprings occur when I connect my phone to my car, but still happens here and there while using my phone on a daily basis.

CrashReporter doesn't give me any information about these device freezes, so I'm not to sure myself why this is happening.

I also use ReProvision to maintain the signature on the application, but not to update it. I have confirmed that my uncover is still on version 3.1.

If anyone has any insight or questions about my current situation, I'd love to hear about it. Would like to get this fixed as soon as possible.

    TY guys!
