    [Update] Succession now supports iOS 8.0+

    I've added support for decrypting rootfilesystem dmgs, which allows for iOS 8.0+ support for all versions with keys available on theiphonewiki, which is basically all of them except the iPhone 6s Plus, SE, and the iPad Pro 1st gen.

    The iPhone 6s and 6s Plus support for iOS 9.X is currently disabled as apple is blocking activations, so the restore will work, but you'll be unable to activate. I'm still working on a way around this.

    Succession 1.4 also includes a few less-noticeable-but-still-important features, including:

    • Add coolbooter secondary partition support ('update install'/restore rootfs mode only)
    • Improve download progress responsiveness
    • add extract progress when using manually placed ipsws
    • workaround for issue with rsync and unc0ver's Substitute (monolithic)

    I've been trying to keep up-to-date on this topic here and twitter, but with the new exploit all conversation is about that.

    Do we know if there a test group testing updates and that an update is coming in the near future?

    I can make due with some of the workarounds given in other posts (what works for me is unchecking Reload Daemons, jailbreak then run iCleaner Pro).

    I don't want to sound like a wen eta person, although this post is that.

    [Discussion] [Tutorial] How to get ROMs, use it with Delta, and where to put these files!

    Part I — How to get the ROMs:

    1) Google your imagination on how you would get stuff

    2) Download it.

    3) Click the "Open In..." and open it using Delta or put it on Files or Filza.

    Part II — Use the Delta:

    1) On Filza, press: Edit > Select File > More > Open In > Click Delta.

    2) It should now be in Delta.

    Part III - Where to put the files:

    1) Go to the Documents folder of the app (in my case, it would be here: /var/mobile/Containers/Data/Application/D1324881-5A42-43A8-8048-bunch of numbers and shit/Documents).

    2) Drop your files there.

    3) Go to Delta and click the + and click iTunes and accept.

    — Review of things and what's not accepted at the moment (this also applies when you're doing the Open In because Delta won't appear):

    • Extensions that are not allowed: .nds, .bin, .7z, .iso, .WAD (Wii),

    • Extensions that are allowed: .gba, .gbc, .gb, .n64, .z64, .zip (you can Open In if the file is a ZIP), .nes, .smc

    — Suggestions on my part:

    1) Automatically get the cover art of the game or when you click on "get artwork", it'll automatically search for the name and takes you to Images so you can select it.

    2) Have a "detailed list" view because of squares only, it'll be a "big mess" imo.

    3) Disable haptic feedback (on and off)

    4) Change UI colors (night mode, light mode, etc)

    5) For the cheats, maybe add a "pre-default" cheats that are popular and already in. Also, add some links (or a link) of what website to go to get some cheats

    6) More options like sorting; A-Z or Size.

    7) Remove the "retrieve files from Files" because that shit is useless and never works. Just add Google Drive or Dropbox or make it work so I can retrieve them from Filza.

    As Apple have been opening signing windows for older iOS versions on rare occasion, I've developed a python script to automatically check the signing status of X device every 5 minutes. This will also push a notification to my device using 'Pushover'

    Understandably this has most likely been done before, and developed in a much better way.
