    Is there any way to keep the watch from automatically opening unread texts when selecting the Messages app?

    I typically like to leave individual texts unread until I'm ready to respond to them (that blue dot next to unread messages helps to remind me to respond), but when I open the messaging app on the Apple Watch, most of the time it automatically opens an unread message when I'm not ready to respond yet, and sometimes I've been forgetting to write back because of it. Is there any way to turn that option off?

    Swimming with Apple Watch

    Hey, I'm just looking for discussion of people who have gone swimming or had their watch in water for decent amounts of time. Not necessarily looking for pools, but I have a cellular series 3 and would like to use it while I'm at the lake.

    The wife and I just bought our first Apple Watches (S4) and were each looking around the internet for good charging cables that we can keep at work to charge these buggers. Amazon's got quite a few but they seem a bit pricey for the hit/miss reviews they get.

    Anyone have any suggestions on a few good: 1. Charging cables (longer length) 2. Screen protectors 3. Nightstand docks

    Mail notifications no longer going to watch

    My phone still receives the notification and makes my new mail tone, but my watch no longer receives mail notifications. I have it set to mirror my iPhone.

    A missed opportunity! AUTO DARK MODE on the Infograph Face. They do it for the smaller dials, why not incorporate it in the bigger face and make it a lot more easier on the eyes at night time? SIGH!

    I'm trying to use my Apple watch for the first time in a long time and it won't turn on. The only graphic is when I plug in but I'm not sure it's taking the charge. Does anyone know of this issue?

    So I like the look of the cellular model of watches but would I be able to use them like the normal variant just without data, or does it force you to use a provider?

    3rd party apps not contributing to monthly challenges

    Does anyone also have the issue where 3rd party apps such as Strava and WorkOutDoors do not contribute to monthly challenges?

    My June challenge is to record 22 activities over 15 mins each. This morning I did a 45 min run using the apple Outdoor Run app which contributed. This afternoon I did a 30 min walk using WorkOutDoors and this didn't contribute.

    Anyone have similar issues?

    Can't activate my Apple Watch

    Today I restored my phone to factory settings (I was using unc0ver, and I did RootFS before I was restoring) it was all good until I noticed that I can't update my software through my iPhone, I have to use iTunes and that's what I did. I updated my iPhone's software to 12.3 via iTunes.

    Here comes the fun part: Erased my Apple Watch all settings as well. Now I can't pair it with my phone. I tried it with multiple iPhones (iPhone 7, 6, X etc.) none of them worked. Now I'm stuck with a none working Apple Watch. It doesn't have Apple Care anymore. I think the jailbreak might have broke it, because I couldn't update my software neither on my phone or watch.

    Does anyone have any solution that maybe resolves this problem? Does anyone seen this problem before?

    Saved $100 at Meijer!

    Finally broke down and got myself an Apple Watch 4, 40mm. At Meijer (in Michigan) they have a special right now when you buy a watch, you get a $100 coupon to use for your next shopping trip. I bought the watch then immediately after used the coupon to buy another charger (for my car since I commute) and accessories/bands... things I was going to order off Amazon anyways!!

    ECG not working on iOS 12.1.1/Watch OS 5.1.3. Can anyone help?

    Hi all,

    Can anyone please help me?? I have an iPhone 8 on 12.1.1 (jailbroken) that used to be able to run ECGs on my Apple Watch when it was on 5.1.2. I read in multiple places that it was okay to upgrade the watch to 5.1.3 and still be able to pair it to the phone, so I did… and now everything works but the ECG. When I launch the ECG app on the phone, it just sits there saying "To set up ECG, open the Health app on your iPhone" no matter what I do. I read that this is sometimes linked to the existence of beta profiles, but I've removed them on my phone. Can anyone help me? ECG is one of the primary reasons I bought my AW4, but I don't want to lose my jailbreak over it!

    Facebook messenger "Apple watch" option

    Hello, I've been looking through internet and there are various videos and blogs about how to set up custom replies for the apple watch. Unfortunately for me, most of them shows opening Messenger on iPhone, then clicking on settings where "Apple Watch" option lies, however I don't have it there.

    Did anyone come across this and somehow managed to fix it? I own Apple Watch series 4 and iPhone 8, both of them up-to-date SW including FB and FB messenger.

    [Question] Deleting activity app from iPhone

    I'm anal and OCD about deleting apps I don't use. The Activity App and it's rings or whatever is of no value to me. I tried to remove it from my iPhone but it said I needed to unpair watch first.

    If I do that, can I repair watch and still have sync work in the future? I got the watch for the Health aspects such as heart rate, etc. So that needs to work

    Should I be okay if I will be swimming in chlorine water all day?

    Tomorrow I'm going to a pool party, and I know the Apple Watch is waterproof, but I can't help but feel nervous. I know the no brainer answer would be to just not wear it, but is it safe? Even with my phone XR which is waterproof I still feel anxious bringing it in the water, haha. (To take fun jumping into the pool videos).

    tldr: I know the Apple Watch is water proof, but is it fine to wear it all day in a chlorine pool? Or should I just skip the stress and just not wear it? I'd be sad to miss a day of filling my rings though

    I did not know if this was worth it to have on but if it's going to be safer I can't see why not. Any cons?

    I use the standard flashlight mode a lot bc of the hands free compared to phone.

    I assume the red is for emergency's!?

    Is there a app that adds a current time complication? Preferably to the infograph face? I really like having my calendar at the top and wouldn’t want to waste it with the digital clock
