Postpartum Complications - Another reason the Apple Watch is great for new moms Posted: 25 Jun 2019 12:22 AM PDT I debated whether or not to post this but in the event it may help anyone else, power in information. Never second guess yourself and when in doubt get checked out. Postpartum complications bradycardia and pulmonary edema, referred to a cardiologist to rule out postpartum cardiomyopathy. My son was born via c-section 06/07/2019 and I first started feeling off the Sunday I was being discharged. I asked my nurse if feeling chest pressure was normal and was told it was likely gas. By Monday night the pressure had gotten so bad it felt like a bear was hugging my upper body, I couldn't lay down without waking up gasping or feeling like I was going to pass out. This is when I decided to put on my series 2 Apple Watch (Cardiogram app) and discovered I was in Bradycardia, my heart rate was hovering between 43 - 47 bpm resting. The next morning things only felt worse so I headed to the ED with my husband to get checked out. My BP was 150/90 and they verified the Bradycardia. After spending 4 hours getting test after test (EKG, blood, xray) there wasn't anything abnormal detected and I was sent on my way. That night I later learned my breathing became so shallow my mom and husband took turns sleeping with me on the couch to make sure I was ok. They would keep tabs on my heart rate through my watch and iPhone. Upon hearing of my ED visit my OB called the next morning and I told her everything. By that afternoon I had an appointment with a cardiologist and an echocardiogram. My BNP was high and recognizing what it may be I was put on a diuretic (Lasix) immediately. Within 24 hours I had lost 10 lbs of water weight and felt much better. I included a screenshot of my Cardiogram app which I showed the cardiologist. You can see roughly after receiving the diuretic via IV when I started to feel relief. Within a week my bradycardia resolved and thankfully my echo showed normal function. [link] [comments]
Posted: 25 Jun 2019 07:52 AM PDT Boom! You have been invited to compete in ''Reddit June Challenge''! First, download Challenges: http://apple.co/29WoKbl Once you have the app, enter invite code: 'efc9' or tap on the link below to join: loseit-challenges://join?eligibilitycode=efc9 For those who may ask, the Challenges app does suggest a calorie goal. If your current goal is higher than what's suggested, it will still count towards your rings in the Challenges app. My calorie goal is always higher than what Challenges recommends and I always leave it higher. Is anyone else’s stand detection complete garbage? Posted: 25 Jun 2019 07:24 AM PDT I can walk down two flights of stairs to my kitchen and as far as my watch is concerned I'm not stood up. Anyone have this issue? Or have managed to fix it? [link] [comments]

[Support] Series 3 + GPS- watchOS 5.2.1- Move ring decreasing after workout? Posted: 25 Jun 2019 06:50 AM PDT Hi, r/AppleWatch ! So I had a weird thing happen this morning. I went to the gym like I normally do and did an elliptical workout, an HIIT workout, and then finished with some yoga. I set the workout app to the appropriate activity, like I always do, and it was counting my calories burned like it always does. When I hit my move goal (500 calories), I got the little animation as usual. Then, I ended the workout app and started to walk home. On my way out of the gym, I noticed that my move goal had decreased from 544 to 430... and then by the time I got home, it was 355? When I look at my activity app on my phone, it still has all of the accurate calorie counts listed, but only gave me 378 calories toward my move goal? I've never had this happen before and I was excited to get my move goal out of the way so early. Anyone have any idea how to sync this to get those calories back? I've already restarted both the phone and the watch, as well as unpaired and repaired it. [link] [comments]

So you add Active energy to Resting energy? Posted: 25 Jun 2019 03:51 AM PDT I can't find a clear answer. To find out the calories burnt for a whole day do you add them together, or does Active count for your whole day? [link] [comments]
Posted: 25 Jun 2019 03:20 AM PDT Updated my iPhone X to iOS 13 Public Beta and now it won't stop staying my watch OS it out of date. But when I try to update the watch it says it is up to date with 5.0.1. Is this an iOS Public Beta bug or am I missing some WatchOS Public Beta? [link] [comments]

Posted: 25 Jun 2019 01:28 AM PDT My daughter taps her (cheap) watch screen one time and can see the number of steps she's done already. How do I do this with my Apple Watch 4? [link] [comments]
Posted: 25 Jun 2019 06:49 AM PDT I have a 1st gem watch and was looking at the series 4. But I noticed that Apple seems to release a new watch every September, should I just wait it out or get the series 4? [link] [comments] |
