    I was watching tv on it, and the battery died. I went to go plug it in and it makes the little charging noise but the screen is still black. I've tried to turn it off and on, see if the brightness is messed up and nothing. Spoke to apple on the phone and they gave solutions like holding Shift+Control+Option keys at the left side of the keyboard and the Power button, and still a black screen! They told me I had to bring it in to an apple store. Any other suggestions before I have to resort to this?

    I have this weird carckling noise coming from the speakers... These come when there is a little strain on the latpop some I'm guessing it has something to do with the fans... Any solutions? Thanks !

    Older MacBook Help

    Hey all, first post here. I received an older MacBook (early 2008 or 2009). I want to update the OS to Mountain Lion but I don't know where to access a valid download link to the OS. The App Store doesn't carry older OS versions. I am fairly certain the MacBook is able to be updated to that OS as I have another older MacBook that's late 2008 or late 2009 and it has been upgraded well past Mountain Lion. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Shutting lid now redirects HDMI audio out

    I have a 12" model and I've been using a USB-C->HDMI adapter for a few months. It has a power feed-through, so the laptop's using that the whole time. Therefore, I can close the lid and use the HDMI monitor as my primary display. It used to send the audio through too, but something changed, and now it plays it on the laptop when I close it. It works normally open, but I'd like to not have to render two duplicate displays. Settings look normal. Hmmm.

    Would I benefit from getting a MacBook?

    I currently have a Dell Xps 13 which is plenty powerful for me, but I also have an iPad with Apple Pencil which I will take my university notes with upcoming September and an iPhone. Are there any reasons why getting a MacBook would benefit me? Any features I should be aware of?

    Macbook Air 2018 Beta

    Yesterday I installed the beta version for MacOS Catalina, but I can't seem to install or use certain apps. In privacy I believe you used to be able to change privacy mode to be able to install apps from all sources. Now it only gives me the option for Appstore ones or ones that are "trusted". Does anybody know a workaround?

    If not, how do I unenroll from the beta programme?
