I've contacted my phone company (at&t) and they tell me to just follow the online directions, but when I do a message appears onscreen that says, "we cannot unlock this device." Everything is paid off, and I don't use any other phone service. One person told me to go to the retail store but when I did the retail store told me they can't do anything, and they said, "It should work just keep trying." [link] [comments]  |
| Need help with recovering/restoring iPhone 6s photos Posted: 27 Jun 2019 12:27 AM PDT I was wondering if anyone could help me, I have an iPhone 6s and I had over 56k photos and probably over 30 albums on it and I went to open my photos app and it crashed immediately and then when I retried the app I had 0 photos so immediately took 4 screenshots which appeared and I then I quickly reset it multiple times just by holding down the power and home buttons and eventually it said restoring and slowly photos were being retrieved in sets of 25-35 and this went on for a while and then started to slow down around 20k and kinda stayed at a steady pace until around 42k and then it seems to have gotten stuck at 45,487 photos and 17 videos and has not changed for at least an hour, I was wondering if any one could possible help me out with a solution, I don't have any of my photos backed up onto the iCloud or on iTunes and I don't have easy access to a computer that will run iTunes, my MacBook is temperamental atm. | Can’t get into Software Update Screen... Posted: 26 Jun 2019 09:46 PM PDT Just won't let me in no matter what I do. Trying to get into General> Software Update but anytime I click on 'Software Update' it just sits there. Won't let me in. Like it freezes. Have no idea how to get into it or why it won't let me in. Cleared Ram, Reset Settings, Killed everything via swipe only to try to redo it again. Not sure what the deal is. Any help would be greatly appreciated. | Posted: 26 Jun 2019 08:50 PM PDT So sometimes when I am outside, my phone will suddenly, without me doing anything to it, drop to 50% of its brightness. What I mean by this is if you go to brightness, and raise the bar to the half way point, it will raise its brightness level as normal. However, after you bring the brightness bar past the half way point, it won't increase the brightness at all, and you can't do anything in the settings to change it. This is really annoying because as I said, it occurs only when I'm outside, so my phone goes from being well lit, to poorly lit, and there is nothing I can do about it except wait until it will allow me to raise the brightness past 50%. | 4k 60fps video, unable to transfer to PC. Posted: 26 Jun 2019 09:47 AM PDT Full disclosure, I am not familiar with iOS, I'm an Android purest and am way out of my element here, so please bear with me. My friend (the owner of the camera) filmed a concert with his 8s with the plan on converting it to a DVD later, problem was, he filmed it at way too high of a resolution and it needs to be converted to a reasonable size. I've done this multiple times with my Pixels and other phones, but this one isn't even allowing me to transfer the file to my PC. There are a number of weird things going on with the file. First off, his phone is a 64gb model, yet in Windows Explorer it shows the file is over 76gb in size. Second, I originally wasn't even able to view the file on my PC, every other video and picture was visible in the Apple 100 and 101 file, but not that one. It was only after I installed iTunes that I was able to see it. No matter what I try, drag, drop, copy, paste, whatever, it will not allow me to transfer this file to my PC. I didn't see any option to transfer it to my PC using iTunes, although I did not create an iTunes account and am completely unfamiliar with the way iTunes works. There is an update available for his phone, but because it's full, I can't apply the update. I'm able to view the video on the phone, and it plays (and looks) great. Is there some step that in missing here? Is iTunes the way I should be transferring the file? Is there anyone out there that has felt with this before? Other note(s) I'm using an Apple branded cable that is know to work. His phone has one of those battery pack case things, is it possible that it is causing some issues? My PC is a beast with more than enough storage on the main SSD and plenty of memory for processing, it deals with 4k and 8k video on a regular basis, so I know that it isn't the problem. | I cant update my software on my iphone 6s Posted: 26 Jun 2019 05:45 PM PDT Ive tried clicking on "download and install"and then it asks me for my pin then the words "download and install" turn grey and a small loading wheel appears on the right next to the words and thats as far as it gets. | Synching a new iphone to my itunes Posted: 26 Jun 2019 04:02 PM PDT So recently I got a new iPhone XR, and had an iPhone 6s+. The issue I'm having is I can't sync my iPhone XR to my itunes where I have all my music. No I'm not using apple music, it's all mp3 files kept locally on my laptop. My iphone 6s+ can still connect just fine, but my new iPhone XR won't show up in itunes, although there is an indication of a connection as I can find it as a removable drive and my XR charges as it is plugged into a usb port on my labtop. Also possibly important to note is the XR is of a new phone number, not the one my 6s+ possesses due to a Bogo deal requiring the activation of a line. Yes I know about home sharing and sharing music/movies via the network storage, but I've always preferred synching to my labtop and having freedom to choose what songs, movies and tv shows to put in and take out. | iCloud photo link not opening. Posted: 26 Jun 2019 05:03 AM PDT Hey guys, sorry if this has been posted recently, but I'm at my wits end with this problem. Yesterday was prom so lots of pics were taken. My friend took photos of me and my friends because my own camera has a shaking glitch (lol another apple problem I have.) and his cam is better anyway. After we'd taken pics, he sent two sets of pics to my iMessage. **Important to note, possibly: right after he sent the pics, I deleted them off his phone because he had so many pics from everyone that it was overwhelming, but obviously (right?) since I already sent them to my phone, figured I'd just have them fine on my phone like normal. Normally if they send, then the person deletes, I thought it should be fine. Let me know if this stupid new link thing doesn't allow that.. I revive the two sets of pics as two separate iCloud photo links with this new system Apple decided must be better. My prob is, all the pics do is sit there loading. Forever, I've tried everything. I originally thought it must be because I'm on low power, as I was all night last night - charged phone and took off low power, I'm on 90 and they still didn't load in. I'm on my normal home WiFi. I checked in settings that iCloud photos was in, and album sharing is on (actually I thought this was prob at first; I turned it off the on again and it told me I don't have enough space. Then I literally deleted most of my photos and ten apps to clear up, and was able to turn it on. This didn't work either.) I'm trying to remember other solutions I found. I think I tried all of them that I found except log out of iCloud.. only reason I didn't was bc it said at the bottom something about losing Icloud photos if you log out? I don't know, this really is so infuriating and annoying because all my life I was able to sent photos just fine if I had good connection, and now this stupid faulty link is keeping me from downloading like 20 pics. Any help is really appreciated, these are important pictures and I'm pissed. I have an iPhone 6 Plus, iOS 12 is up to date.
