iPhoneX Screen resilience on the XR |
Posted: 13 May 2019 01:47 PM PDT This entire thing is going to sound so dumb, but here I go anyway. I just bought a new flip wallet case for my new XR and my dad is being, in my opinion, unreasonably and annoyingly controlling about it. The entire reason I bought a wallet case was so I could put my debit card and license inside of it, since with my old phone, I used to put them inside the case itself, behind my phone. Now that I have it, my dad won't let me put anything inside of it because he claims that the "embossing on my card will scratch the screen" and that "the bulging created from having cards inside" will scratch the screen as well. Which I think is dumb because in my opinion, that's not how screens get scratched (especially if I put my debit card in backwards). Now, I was reading a couple reviews in other subreddits about the XR screen saying that it's super vulnerable to scratches, especially in the first months, weeks, or even days of having it. I've had this XR for a week and I don't have any scratches on it. It's fine. It sort of makes me think that people just aren't as careful as they say they are. I'm going to buy a screen protector eventually (the glass one, not the flimsy ones that are prone to air bubbles and peeling off) when I get enough money for one. But I just want to know, is the XR screen REALLY that prone to scratches? Is my dad actually not as crazy as I'm making him out to be? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 13 May 2019 11:27 AM PDT I have been having software issues with the IPhone X. I reported the issues to apple and they reset my phone but found no problems with the hardware. They recommend upgrading if the reset does not work. Which it doesn't. I am not sure I want to upgrade yet. If I do should I go through apple or Verizon? I still have about $159 left to pay on it [link] [comments] |
